Puff daddy. House raided. Sex trafficking
TheNewGirl replied to RaiderHaters Revenge's topic in The Geek Club
Dang, was just reading up on him. He's been in at least SOME kind of legal trouble consistently for like 20 plus years. Whether it's from a clothing line, record deal or producer, baby mama trouble, sexual assault (against men and women) and now this. he's a bad dude. -
Not only fitness tests, but parents are literally teaching VERY VERY young children that ALL cops are b@stards. I saw a recent FB post that parents won't let their children watch Paw Patrol. A cartoon about little doggies and kittens that are cops. These are toddlers being told that LEOs, or any uniformed person really is bad. Why would you want to be a cop knowing that the future generations are being taught that you're not there to help anyone ever at all?
-
And you didn't really worry about getting shot at. And you knew who the creepers were and called them out, and weren't afraid to approach the rent a cop or the real cop for that matter because we weren't told that ACABs OR you'd tell the creeper to BACK OFF or make fun of him and he'd take off on his own. If you were at the arcade and someone hit you, you could hit them back and not worry about getting sued. It just seems like it really was so much simpler. AND...I don't think it was AS racist among kids back then anyways. We were all just friends with everyone. I remember just being FRIENDS. We didn't care what color you were. I remember having dolls; Barbies, Cabbage Patch, or whatever that were other races. Sure, my dad made comments, but I was like, "So what?" Was 1984 racist? I don't think it was as racist as 2024 is, I really don't.

That's what I was wondering too.

Fock, let's make it $100/hour.

they will just make gas more expensive, or licensing fees. Some way to make it so expensive that it appears cheaper to drive electric. They will demonize driving gas cars.

It's no ones cup of tea. Or shot of whiskey for that matter.

Any remakes of Shark Dance on there? Perhaps a more modern version? I still have my Rusty CDs around here somewhere. Probably next to some original Sara Bareilles CDs before she got all famous and junk.

Documentary: Shiny Happy People (The Duggars)
TheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
Well we certainly can't ban them all. -
I never really watched the Duggars (19 Kids and Counting) on TLC, but seems like they were the jumping off point for TLC to go from The Learning Channel to The Lurking Channel where they started reality TV. John and Kate Plus 8, the Kardashians (maybe, can't remember if they started there, etc). But this show really digs into their religions fundamentalist beliefs, and it really is a grooming process for all kinds of abuse; sexual, emotional, physical, mental...I mean, it's horrible. How these producers didn't see this kind of stuff while they were filming them over the years, because they only had like 14 or 15 kids when they started, I don't know. Or how they didn't know that the oldest boy wasn't molesting his sisters during the whole thing... They truly did ruin these kids, all 19 of them and it's really sad. Not only them but so many that believe in this church! Anyways, no purpose to the thread really, just watching it and kind of baffled that organizations like this exist, but religious freedom y'all! 'Murica!

Documentary: Shiny Happy People (The Duggars)
TheNewGirl replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
Yes, and the cop that initially arrested him and talked to him about what happened was a friend of Jim Duggar, basically said, "Josh, don't do it again If you do it again, I'll have to really let you have it." The cop is now serving something like 50 years in prison for child pron. Sick. I'd like to say that all fundamentalist religions should be banned, but then I'd be against the first amendment, but I've yet to hear ANYTHING good about any fundamentalist religion I've read or heard about. This one the Mormon one, any of them. They are all cults that believe in abusing children and women. -
Bernie Sanders Proposes Reducing Americans’ Workweek to 32 Hours
TheNewGirl replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
For the sake of his proposal though, how would this work? You have a set of his constituents who say that they aren't being paid enough, and that 40 hours is too much. Yes, I realize that it may never have to be dealt with. But if you want to have a discussion about these proposals and be serious about them, then take all of this other garbage into account. These people don't want to work as much, yet they want more money, yet they want big corporations to foot the bill for everything. The whole entire thing cannot work. But people don't seem to see the BIG picture, I guess is what I am trying to say. They just seem to focus on this ONE thing. Like the $20 min wage. Oh, here you go! Here's your increase! Oh wait. Now this is more. So is this. And now these people have lost their jobs, but wait, the CEO's didn't take a cut like they were supposed to....it doesn't work the way these people think it will. -

Adding, when I say abuse...they follow books that allow mothers to inflict abuse on their infants. They call it "blanket training." You place an object just out of reach of an infant, 6 months old/old enough to crawl. The infant crawls off of the blanket towards the object and the mother will hit the infant, tell them no. This is supposed to "remove" the infants wanting to go after something they aren't supposed to have. Women are raped consistently and at the mercy of their husbands to keep having babies. All of this hidden from the TLC producers, how the Duggars hid this...I have NO idea. -
Are we also still saying that things are more expensive due to supply chain/supply and demand issues?

TheNewGirl replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
how does this work with the new $20/minimum wage? More money and less hours? -
So I will say that this IS true when it comes to women's pain, especially as it relates to gynecological issues but even others. We can spend tons of time and money going to doctors and specialists and hear that it's "all in our head" when eventually they find that we have a life threatening issue. But systemic racism and pain? It's possible, but I believe it more with women vs men instead of race based.

It's too bad that Biden couldn't make a statement about Laken Riley and had to fumble her name during the SoU.

Now I see why you have no compassion...(divorce settlements)
TheNewGirl replied to peenie's topic in The Geek Club
What about these answers make you sound old fashioned? It sounds like these were terrible women, IMO. I mean, aside from the not working (because that could have been a choice that they made together or not), but cheating neglectful mothers being terrible domestically just sounds like they were terrible people in general and awful choices for these men. In the end, the fathers getting custody sounds like it was the right thing to do. There are a few things I've tried to teach my children about how they find a mate, or even who they choose to date or sleep with, you have to be VERY careful about who you do these things with. Sleep with a shiite person and get them pregnant and now you're tied to them for life, you know? I do agree that it's difficult to find a decent person to create a long life with these days (both male and female). You really do have to be picky, and it's more of finding someone that you're entering a contract with, less about feelings, unfortunately. I see this with older couples though, younger couples usually marry or couple for love, older couples are thinking about the lives they've already built and how hard they've worked and don't want to end up giving up half of it for some one that's going to fock them over. -
Yeah, but people like Rusty think that it's just fine!

Then what's the point of the discussion? Does this go back to your post on "traditional wives?" There's nothing wrong with old fashioned, but both parties have to be understanding of that and actually WANT it. If you have someone that doesn't want that, or if it's a deal breaker, then you're going to have issues.
