My SIL goes. It's not just Reno area people but we see them driving up the freeways with their shiiitshow RVs and all kinds of stuff. Just seems like a really dusty, dirty rave with drugs and naked people everywhere. Apparently she has the BEST time, meets a lot of people etc. My brother doesn't go with her. Anyways yeah, tons of mud and just yuck. When the people were finally cleared to leave, it took some folks 4 or 5 HOURS to move 6 miles to the paved road that leads out. Dude who died had a heart attack or something like that, not sure if it was exacerbated by drug use.

I don't recall my kids ever getting an early release for heat, and we get into the 110's and higher. Last year at this time, the temp was 116 and we had extremely unhealthy air due to CA wildfires. They went to school, maybe recesses were cancelled for elementary kids, or outside PE was moved indoors, but I never recall them ever coming home from school because it was "too hot" out. I do know that practices for outside summer sports (mostly soccer) get canceled due to heat occasionally. I never got sent home early either as a kid. Not even in other extreme weather (for CA, this would basically just be hard rains).

Sorry for such a downer topic. Do you think we will find a cure for things like cancer, Alzheimers, Parkinsons, the common cold? Not talking about things like vaccines or drugs that simply treat these or eliminate symptoms. I am talking about full on cures. I am watching my mom slowly slip away from Parkinsons and dementia. There have been recent improvements in some medications, but for the most part, I have very little faith that we ever truly cure these diseases (and others, these are the ones that come to mind). I think medical advances and funding is being spent in many other places too, and if we do find a cure, it's still very far away, IMO.

So, not trying to build the case, but Stalin was trying to build something sustainable that didn't necessarily depend on HIM running things, he knew he wouldn't be around forever. Hitler was the opposite, the way he was building relied ONLY on him, and wouldn't be sustainable if he was gone. They are both horrible, but they had two different ideals. Not sure if one was better/worse.

So the more I think about this...this might be one of the driving factors for how I vote this year. I am really tired of hearing how much we have sent and continue to send to Ukraine. And the fact that our law makers sneak in cr@p like this when they are writing bills, they don't disclose all of that's in these things to us, the voters. This happens ALL the time and I know I can't read them all, but whatever candidate stops sending money to Ukraine might be the way I need to go. At this point with our own disasters, inflation, over 6 million illegals coming into our country, we are hemorrhaging money; and Biden is not giving ANY indication that he's going to stop. Loan forgiveness and buying votes here and there. It has to stop.

FWIW, I've had three shots (two first ones and just one booster). I've had CoVid twice, each time the experience was different as well. First time I basically lost taste and smell for a while, no other symptoms. Second time felt like a cold/flu combo; I just felt like cr@p for a week or so. Did my shots help? I will never know. My family only got the first two vaccines, they've all had Covid once. I'm the only one who's had it twice in our household.

This does sound very promising. I also have depression, so reading this is good. Thank you for sharing your experience.

That doesn't say it's because the vaccine doesn't create antibodies, just that the serology tests might not show any. Now, I did read that people who are immunocompromised STILL have a greater chance of getting Covid after being vaccinated than a normal immune system. Simply because the medications they are on for being compromised counteracts and their bodies won't produce antibodies. The vaccine is only about 50% effective (or less) in people who are immunocompromised. I found that interesting as they touted that those are the people we should try and protect and should get the vaccine ASAP. Where is the full link/text to what you posted here?

If you ask me, we are closer to communism than fascism or socialism. The govt is trying to control everything; access to electricity, power, natural gas (they are coming for your stoves next). Property owned by large corporations or govt owned. The way we are going, citizens do not share equally in economic resources. They parade it as socialism, but in socialism citizens own things equally That's not how it will work for us. The rich will stay rich and get richer, and then you will have the poor/working class waiting to get their weekly distribution of bread, eggs, or water.

Where does it say the vaccine NEVER created antibodies? I'd like to read more about that.

I disagree. There are plenty of Americans who ONLY think of themselves and their "feelings..." that's pretty obvious...and if YOU don't agree with those feelings or treat them how the FEEL you're a racist bigot. Plenty of SELF going on in America right now.

My mom too. Her issues started around 68 as well and I couldn't imagine her running anything like our country. Biden has cognitive decline, you can see when he talks, when he walks (he losing mobility when he can't even walk across a stage and he "shuffles"). He slurs words, says things that don't make sense. The reason he goes back to his kitchen fire is because that's a strong core memory for him so he tells that story over and over. Anyone who can't see even a smidge of the cognitive decline...I don't get it. He's probably got some great drugs and doctors, but seeing him speak for a few minutes here and there and how he is THEN, it's much worse in private I bet.

And you still think that Biden is okay and speaks okay?
