If trans joy is so real, why do most of them seem miserable?

We literally never get them. I can imagine that if they were more frequent, we'd have better prepared for them...but at the same time we are famous for earthquakes and our cities don't have the right infrastructure for those either. Who knows.

According to the Gov, though, CA leads the nation in several areas and this is one of them. When he's POTUS he will give reparations to all, I am sure.

So....you're a liberal and have no solutions, but also say conservatives don't offer any either...sooo??? IMO, the liberal solution is to throw more money at it, create special groups and committees, etc. And throw more money at it. I.e Reparations; here's some free money. Won't get rid of your situation, or really improve your situation other than now you can go and buy that sweet sweet Caddy. But, umm...here's some money. And you can't say, "Here's some money, now go better yourself!" Reparations isn't going to fix this either.

This is an interesting perspective that AA's don't value middle class and the drive to be an entertainer, etc. I do think that there is white privilege out there, for the record.

Up in Nor Cal we are seeing wind, and a decent humid rain. News is showing a lot of flooding in So Cal, though, esp the desert mountain areas. The earthquake happening was interesting, Mama Nature is also trying to drown CA.

I can't, family is aging and is here. I'll only be able to leave when my parents (or my husband) are gone unfortunately. I am trapped. The other part is that where I live, is actually quite nice. I am about 1.5 hours from ocean, 1 hour from mountains. My particular city has big lake and tons of recreation. It would be tough to find something similar in another state, really and I don't want to be land-locked like Idaho or something. Anyways, that's my predicament. So I will just stay here and complain and try and vote to change things.

So, you've never seen the pictures on Ellis Island or around New York and the colonies that had signs that said, "NO IRISH" or anything like that? Perhaps there weren't "laws" specifically in place, but to call other forms of discrimination just "history" because the individuals weren't the correct color is just astounding to me. How about Native Americans? I'd MUCH rather pay them reparations, honestly. Especially out here in CA. If you read some of the stories of how tribes were completely obliterated as settlers traveled west, it's nauseating. Just come in and murder hundreds of people. Didn't bother to make them slaves, just killed them off. I often wonder why we don't focus on that part of American history and who is owed something.

I heard a quote that serial killers/spree shooters, etc. have more in common with politicians than we realize. They share sociopathic and psychopathic traits like lake of empathy narcissism, apathy. In terms of facists and WW2 I've quoted things by Hitler here before that sound a lot like current democrat/socialism beliefs. Hitler was also staunchly against capitalism and believed in socialism.

That's the thing tho...people want the same outcome for all, govt assistance or not. People who get govt assistance want to be rich, and they want the rich people to be poor.
