Not necessarily, the more students the more money the school or school district gets. Sure, less students means less overcrowding, but they still won't get ahead financially to make the school better, get new supplies, computers, etc.

The woman mentioned in the article wasn't worried about anything but missing part of the movie...so I am not sure she felt her life was in danger. I believe this as well. There are far too many "shortages" in certain sectors that would indicate people returned to work at their same jobs. Health care, teaching, law enforcement are just a few...and many of these people may have actually been FIRED during CoVid for various reasons. No kidding they wouldn't return to work. I think we forget that certain parties were calling for nurses and teachers to be FIRED if they refused to get vaccinated. Why would they return to such jobs?

Did you read the entire transcript of the speech and Q&A in Charlottesville? Because he didn't literally SAY that, he said a lot more and the "fine people" comment is taken completely out of context, IMO.

So, the difference between this is that cops aren't really liked much by Dems. ACAB right? They think they are racist, abusive animals that see a person of color and immediately think guilty. They don't consider that cops are literally on the line every day with their lives; pull someone over and you risk losing your LIFE. Much different than that of a teacher losing their JOB. There really isn't much risk of death as a teacher (I know there are select circumstances). MOST teachers unions (if they exist) are through government means. In California, one of the LARGEST campaign donators is the CA Teachers Union; they donated over $2 MILLION to Newsom during his recall to keep him in office. He gave them a year of paid vacation as a result. Not sure how it is in other states but Teachers unions have steadily amped up their political involvement: From 2004 to 2016, their donations grew from $4.3 million to more than $32 million -- an all-time high. Dems own the teachers unions but they hate cops. If you don't think they are treated differently, I believe you're wrong. There was one of those meme things on social media recently that asked, "What state would you NEVER move to?" The responses appeared to be mostly California and Florida. The CA one I find interesting, since we are the bluest of the blue here - and that's the way more than 80 million people lean, so why wouldn't they want to live here and reap those benefits that they vote for? Florida meh. I wouldn't live there mostly because of the humidity.
