I'm doing it in one league...my other options at rb are s jax s greene alex green vick ballard deang will If there's a mediocre rb option out there, there's a good chance he's on this team. -
QB-ADP_for_QB-ADP_Overall-Current_QB_rank Rodgers-1-3-9 Brady-2-7-7 Newton-4-16-11 Stafford-5-17-14 Vick-6-45-13 Romo-9-60-22 Rivers-11-64-18 All underperforming, but Rivers and Romo the only ones averaging under 20ppg. WAYYYYY too tough to officially consider someone a bust this early in the season.
-
i'm playing against Brady and Bolden, so I'm hoping that NE has minimal production, and that any TD's they get are on runs by Ridley, Woodhead, or Vereen
-
newton? are people serious? underperformers are not bust. he's the #11qb so far. CJ is clearly the leading candidate... Others with the potential to overtake CJ (only considering those taken in top 4-5 rounds): QB:Romo RB:S Jax, DMC, Fred Jax, S Greene, D Martin WR:J Nelson, Dez, Nicks, Jennings, Lloyd TE:Gates, Finley **Nicks, Jennings, and Finley had significant injury concerns before the season, so they probably shouldn't even qualify
-
haven't seen any detail on his injury, except that it was his achilles

3 weeks ago, there was a ruling about Vick having 15 less yards rushing because they changed one play from a sack to a run. The team in my league with Vick had previously won by 0.6, only to realize on Thursday that he lost by 0.9. 2 weeks ago, the guy who won the above game won his week again, this time on the Witten TD with less than 40 seconds in the Monday night game which was a blowout, so that TD was totally meaningless to the game. In addition, our league gives an additional money bonus to the team with the weekly high score...this owner also had Dez Bryant, and the 2 pt conversion on the Witten TD gave him the high score of the week by 1.4...over the team he beat the week before because of the Vick ruling. This past week, the same owner lost by 0.3. His opponent started Rodgers, who got stat-corrected to having 8 less passing yards, so it would seem that it has happened three weeks in a row...yet, this owner also has Demaryius Thomas, who is getting stat-corrected himself to getting 8 less receiving yards...so, he will actually lose by 0.7. I consider these events absolutely unbelievable... This is the same owner who lost his week a few years ago when Westbrook took a knee...unreal

i'd start donald brown over chris johnson
-
would have to be a special situation, like end of the half or end of the game, cause if you miss a 70yarder, you give the other team the ball on your own 40.
-
you dare doubt me?
-
I wouldn't expect too much out of Brown, though he clearly has talent. There's a bunch of receiving targets in SD, and they aren't a team like GB or NO or NE where you can expect them to have a ton of total passing yards every game. I'm guessing he'd be a WR5 or WR6 (for starting 3 wrs). I wouldn't want to have to play him any week, but he's a decent lottery ticket on your bench if you need to catch lightning Shame about him getting injured...it was an impressive catch.

RT Sports still hasn't adjusted our scores. come on people...what do i pay you for?
-
I read that it was on the 2pt conversion.

Given how you worded your post, it seems that Bob dropped Jennings before the trade was announced. If that's true, then I don't see how the trade can occur, since it would require someone trading away a player who wasn't on their roster...if the timing is reverse, where the trade was announced and then Jennings was dropped, the trade should go through, I'd say...I assume a third team has picked up Jennings, thus causing the problem?

Was wondering if anyone had any record of how teams, or more importantly, players, do the week they come back off a bye week. Common logic would suggest they'd perform better than average (average for that player, that is) for the week they return, since they had an extra week to get healthy. But, it wouldn't shock me if the stats show that the extra week is either meaningless or even a detriment (I guess the logic could be that they lose their intensity and come out flat). Have any of you seen any data on this? Similarly, I'd think it would be interesting to look at how players are affected by Thursday night games...both (1) how they do on that Thursday, with the short rest and (2) how they do the following week, with the extra rest. I'd be willing to bet that there is some difference, though quantifying the true correlation may be quite difficult (would have to take into account schedule strength, health of the player going into the bye week, how far into the season the bye occurs...the math geek in me would love to get my hands on a bunch of data and run some linear regressions...but who has the time?). I recently saw an article on how poorly East Coast teams perform when they play Monday night games on the west coast. It was a pretty significant impact, so I'd expect amount of rest has to play some role.

i believe i heard one of the broadcasters on Monday night mention that the Texans aren't using AJ on every snap, cause they're trying to keep him fresh for the full season...he's still in for a majority of plays, but he does spend a few plays on the sidelines... gotta think this is actually gonna work out ok for johnson owners...he's perpetually injured every year, so maybe this keeps him in top form for the full season. also, his two good games were vs mia and denver...two solid teams...his three stinkers were vs jax, tenn, and nyj...three very bad teams (which makes sense, since they just pounded it on the ground and didn't need to air it deep)...houston plays more quality teams than stinkers from here on out, so i'm guessing aj will be fine...maybe not a wr1, but a wr2 for sure
-
you just took advantage of an innocent guy...for $20. be proud.
-
I'm sitting at #3 in WW, and I know that the owner at #1 will not be grabbing either Starks or Green and the owner at #2 will be grabbing Green...so, asking myself if I should take Starks or if I should just move up to the #2 spot. I don't need Starks, though RB depth is something I always value. I'd prefer Green, since Starks showed his limited upside last year, but I could also forsee Starks stepping into the starting role in a couple weeks if Green's blocking stinks.

I'm curious how many more carries people think Morris will be getting...he's already averaging 20 carries per game, and that's gotta be partially due to RG3's success, as he has been able to sustain drives...personally, i think any injury to RG3 would be bad for Morris
-
pretty tough to like the bills d thus far
-
current defensive fantasy ranks against RBs thru week 5 for Morris' remaining schedule (non-ppr): Minn 3, Philly 10, Pittsburgh12, Dallas 14, NYG 16, Baltimore 20, Cleveland 21, Carolina 26. Aside from Minnesota, the teams he plays sound much tougher than they've actually been. Philly just gave up 100yds to Pitt, who has a terrible run game. Giants got abused by Richardson and were only team to give up decent yards to Murray. Baltimore apparently really misses Suggs, cause they are giving up rb pts every week. The way to win at FF is to find studs. That's what Morris has been. Not sure what else you're looking for
-
recently checked packers home page, and didn't see anything suggesting that they'd lean toward green or starks as the lead back. green did well last week after benson was out, but (a) that was vs colts and ( don't think starks was available...had starks last year, and he had plenty of opps to impress, and he totally failed to do so... i'm #3 on my ww...think i'd use my spot this week on green but not on starks as for cobb, with jennings and finley banged up and the packer d sucking, think his value is solid, although production may be quite inconsistent

Who played better yesterday - Brady or Peyton?
vegassandwich227 replied to knuckleballah22's topic in FFToday Board
well the pats won, so clearly brady played better. -
I'm not arguing that he's looking good this year or that he'll turn it around...but he threw for over 4000 yards last year and 21 TD's. Those would be great passing stats for a rookie QB if he had zero rushing yards... that said...yeah, he sucks
