I was afraid I would read the entire thread without this at least being mentioned. Trestman is going to make the offense a lot less one dimensional this year. Marshall had 192 targets last year (good for 3rd most) yet CHI ranked 27th in pass attempts, which really puts things into persepctive. The passing attemepts will increase, but Trestman is creative, he will spread the ball out more. What you saw out of Marshall last year is his absolute ceiling IMO (career high receptions/yard/TDs) as the situation for him was great (not so great for the offense) He's being drafted predicated on those numbers, and I just don't see him quite reaching them again this year as I expect the sheer volume of targets to decrease. I'm not exactly saying I wouldn't take him over Julio, but I think it's very close to being a wash.

J.Bell looks legit. If Bush were to ever go down I'd want this guy over Leshoure.

I got ragged on for spending 15% of my budget to pick up Wilson off the WWs last night, laregely ignoring Brown. On one hand we have a 4th round journymen RB who's been on 5 teams in 4 years who also ruptured his Achilles tendon in 2009 On the other hand we have a 1rst round RB with upside to match the investment. My money is on the talent here. In the event Bradshaw has to miss extended time, I think Wilson will be the one to own. Doghouse or no doghouse, I very much doubt NYG is going to give Brown 25+ touches while Wilson watches from the bench. He need and IV and X-Rays after touching the ball sub 20 times lat week. They almost have no choice but to give Wilson some work. Lastly, people seem to be ignoring the fact that Brown got a majority of his touches during a time where TB was playing prevent. I'm not sold.

Thanks guys, I played very similar teams across the board (Ryan, Julio, K.Smith) but just a few differences had me just finishing with in the money so I didn't win a whole lot. Either way, I'm looking forward to the next one.

Wow...I have a $50 dollar bet he outscores Bradshaw and immediately regretted the decisions thinking I at least deserved 2:1 odds. I'm really glad to see I'm not the only one who was suckered into this bet! Anyway, Smith is a top 12, low-end RB1 option in PPR leagues this week. If you have a RB who you don't think or isn't expected to break the top 12, sit him for Smith.

It doesn't because as kmbryant pointed out, you would have probably started Colston anyway. Now, if you had started Deverey Henderson and he blew up and won you the ship, we'd have something here.

Just to follow up on what The Next Generation posted..

I almost never back up my QBs, I find it to be a waste of a roster spot. I however, did end up backing up Ryan in two of my leagues with Wilson. I couldn't resist, the upside was so tempting. I don't foresee myself ever benching Ryan for Wilson, but crazier things have happened. Trying to catch lightning in a bottle is fun.

You don't need to be a homer, all you had to do was watch him run last year. Instead of hitting the holes hard, like you'd expect from a RB his size, he oddly tries to spin/dance too much. There's like, too much lateral movement in his game. Once Redman came in, you saw how much better suited a downhill runner was for PIT's game. I don't think he's bad per say, I just don't see him being very much of an upgrade over the current options. Oh, and his upright running style doesn't help his case either.

...but..but I can cancel out my opponents Matt Ryan with a savvy plug and play of Harry Douglas. This is scientific fact.

I'm thinking Dez has a big game, wish I owned some stock. I'm hoping Nicks comes through for me, thought the 4th was good value, had to grab him in a couple leagues.

Danny Amendola @ DET- He's now almost a year removed from a season ending elbow injury and seems to still have a very good connection with Bradford. DET's secondary struggled mightily in five of it's last six games to close out the season last year and is now entering 2012 with essentially the same defensive squad. STL will more than likely end up having to play catch up at some point in this match making him all the more appealing. I'd feel very comfortable flexing him in leagues which reward points per receptions. Malcom Floyd @ OAK - To be honest, Floyd is pretty underwhelming at this point in his career. You cannot however, disregard match-up and situation. Rivers seasonally torches OAK and I don't see that stopping this year. Couple that with the absence of Mathews and a suspect OAK secondary which finished 30th in the league last year and you have yourself a legitimate sleeper. I don't think there will be a better opportunity for Floyd to put up quality stats this year. Mike Williams vs. CAR - I'm personally expecting a bounce back year for Tampa Mike and I think it starts with his week 1 match-up vs. CAR. Williams struggled with double teams all year and eventually became content with a minimized role in 2011. With Vincent Jackson now in town to draw attention, and more importantly CB Chris Gamble in this specific match-up, I'm expecting Williams to flash some of what we saw in 2010. CAR's strong suit isn't exactly their secondary either, as they finished 24th against the pass last year. Braylon Edwards @ ARI - With the recent news of Golden Tate's knee injury that will likely cost him two weeks, Edwards will be getting the nod to line up opposite Sindey Rice for SEA's first game of the season. Edwards showed some unexpected life in the preseason, hooking up with Russel Willson on a handful of catches. Given the opportunity and the nature of this match-up (ARI, although much improved through the second half of last year, still ranked 29th against the pass), Edwards can make for a sneaky play in deeper leagues. Thankfully, he shouldn't be getting any attention from shut down corner Patrick Peterson.

They did let up 26 TDs on the ground last year haha..they made IND look good.

I'd go with Smith here. I honestly think he can be used as a low-end RB1 in PPR this week, he won't get a better match up all season.

I would definitely start Bush over Trich, I think he's good for a TD against a transitioning IND defense who allowed the second most(19) TDs to opposing offenses on the ground last year. I think Trich will be lucky to get more than 10 touches.

Kendall Hunter outscores Frank Gore in both PPR and standard leagues. Not really that bold but hey, why not.

The crazy thing about Stevie is he somehow always finds his way off of Revis Island. In two years and four matches, Stevie has never scored less than 11 points against NYJ in 1PPR. As cheesy as it sounds the dude runs some the most crisp routes I've ever seen haha. Sorry if I made the choice a bit tougher for you. I agree with you and Muller, I really like Wright this week. There's no way he doesn't see targets while TEN plays catch up. The dude is a straight up play maker.

Absolutely not. In NO's last seven games they've allowed 321 passing yards on average to opposing QBs. Their secondary and pass rush are looking pretty questionable at this point. I think RG3 is going to be looking towards Garcon early and often.

If I was forced to start one it would have to be Edwards, Patrick Peterson is THAT good.

CJ could simply be an outlier. He even acknowledged himself that he was too small, “I want to be a little heavier because it makes me feel a little sturdier and it helps me make it through the whole season without the bumps and bruises.”. Some players obviously have a higher tolerance for pain than others, maybe CJ played injured? Either way, I highly doubt were going to find out this year. I just don't see them working him that hard. Saying a sub 200lb RB may have durability issues with 300+ carries isn't "talking out of my ass", it's being logical.
