    BenJarvus Green-Ellis

I was one of the owners that got fed up. Look at his stats and they are what they are. about 7 to 9 points each week. Hard to accept even as a flex play for a starting rb.

    Mendenhall gonna play

Been waiting patiently the last 5 weeks for him to come back off his achilles injury. He will be starting for me at my RB#2 if he is going. If not I can also play Dwyer.

    Waiver Wire Gold?

I actually picked up D Thomas and A Roberts this week. I was able to manuvuer enough through the season to allow me to have two spots open. I am in a 10 team league. Setting at 6-4 and the #4 position after 10 weeks.

    NFL rankings after 12 weeks

I tend to agree with the list in general. The top three are right. You can make a case with either Texans or Falcons at 1 and Pack a close third and gaining quickly. Ravens are at the bottom and very close to dropping out of the top 10. A lot of questions on defense and injuries. Offense seems to be trying to go away from the smash mouth football with play action sprinkled in for good measure. Their Offenseive Coord needs to get back to that to re-establish their identity. Spots 4 through 9 are pretty interchangeable. I think you can make a case for just about any list within this group. I woulld not argue too much with this setup. Maybe Giants up a spot or two but just because they handed SF their butts a few weeks ago doesm't mean they are playing better now. The weekly list changes based on how a team plays as the season goes along. Overall, good list.

    rain in PA?

All I can hope for then is a lot of straight ahead running by Jonathan "TheBus2" Dwyer. Now if the line can get it together today, I still expect a chance of a nice production day from Dwyer.

    Rain in Cleveland

I'm nervous too. I replaced M Floyd with B Stokley in my flex position. Believe on a normal day with similar matchups I would go with Floyd, but weather and NO Def could not pass up the chance of Stokley on the backside for Manning. Plus he and Manning have done a fairly good job of producing the last 4 weeks on limited targets.

    Jordy Nelson!

So with Jennings and probably Nelson out this week does everyone think GB plays only two receiver sets or does D Driver become the #3 in the more three receiver sets GB likes to employ? I know Driver is a wideout like the other two but won't Cobb move into the slot? Driver could be a sneaky play this week. Long shot I know.

    Rashad Jennings Outlook

Thanks for the insight JtmoneyJag. Knowing this thought process wouldn't you think GB would be thinking the same and play tough on the edges with the corners to take away the short passing game? Force Gabbert and the OLine prove they can take the ball downfield. That should allow the DEnds to maintain the edges as well as after Gabbert in definite passing situations. This basically tends to think Jennings will have to be very productive between the tackles (which I think he can). If he can force the GB Def to adjust to the inside game, then maybe the Jags can take advantage to the edges and short passing game. Play calling will be big for Jags keeping GB guessing. They can't just lineup and say here we come, stop us. Just my two cents.

Dwyer will likely draw another start this week

I am in the same boat. Have Mendy and Dwyer. Also have Ballard. Byes have me loooking at playing both potenttial but I also have M Floyd against Clev secondary. Leaning towards Ballard and Dwyer but have Floyd in the flex right now. Just waiting to the last second based on practice reports. This season really has sucked with injuries and bye combos. I haven't dealt with this much weekly problems in the 10+ years of doing ff. Guess it was my time.
  10. NE-TheGoodLife

What do you need on Monday night?

I need Floyd to pull a jordy nelson. About 200 yds, 10 catches and 3 tds. I will just take another loss. Crap!!!
  11. NE-TheGoodLife

    Tony Romo

Romo is my backup to Matty Ryan. I will play Romo next week against Carolina then will figure out what to do with him.

    RG3 Trade

To me it looks like a two for one with RG3 for Dez and Palmer. Lions DEF/ST is just an add on. If you RG3 can keep up what he is doing then I would do it immediately. Not sure what you have for another defense or what is available but that should not be too difficult to find a replacement. Pick up Ariz if available. Dallas can become better as the season goes and Dez's value could go up. Overall I like the trade.

Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks

I don't have a dog in the fight and I'm not looking for one, but I played WR at the college level (although small college) and I would be pissed if I did 99% of the work and someone else got the credit. I get how the rule reads but no way in hell Tate made that catch. To me simultaneous possession did not take place until they were both on their backs and fighting for the ball. By that time the play has concluded. The catch is completed and progression of the catch is finalized. It was in plain sight of the referees and should not have been so grey. The league had no choice but to back up the replacement refs. No way they would come out and go against the call. If they did just imagine the sh*t storm that would have erupted, but they did say the offensive pass interference sould have been called. Thanks but no thanks. The 99% to 1% thinking reminds me of some of the other thinking that is going on in this country. Where is the logical thinking at. Everything is not always black and white. Just my two cents. Now give to me.

    Sidney Rice

Does anyone think Simpson hurts Harvin's value a little or strengthen it. I want to believe that with Simpson being the vertical threat that Harvin may be able to take advantage of the mid-level routes across the field. Which I hope plays into his catch and run phase of his game.

    Peyton Hillis

He was drafted but he guy who had him had to drop him because of injuries at other spots and could not wait on him. He sat there last week and I couldn't believe he was still there. Someone else's injury bug gave me a chance to pick him up. Has nothing to do with the league being weak. Ask about the situation before assuming something. I could have added that little info, so I apologize for that.

    Denver's Running backs

The Dnever situation is in total disarray. I think Fox will go with who is having the hot hand. So if McGahee cant go I think they will work down the depth chart and see who is getting it done. Once that guy is found that is who will get the bulk of the carries for the night.

    Powell

Seriously considered him this week as a replacement for Hillis. When I looked at the wire I saw Mendy so I chose him over Powell. If I didnt get Mendy I would have picked up Powell to see what the next couple of weeks bring.

    Week 4 DEF

I also picked up the Arz Def to go along with Houston on my squad. Houston hasn't really hurt me but was hoping for a few more points. I like Arz for the rest of the year (most weeks). I like their style playing with reckless abandonment and very aggressive (similar to Seattle).
  19. NE-TheGoodLife

    Peyton Hillis

I dropped him this week and was able to grab Mendy off the waiver wire. Stashing him for now and hoping he comes back kicking butt and taking names.

So, before Mathews has his first game...

Blade, thank you for your thought process. I understand where you are coming from and SJax is going to fall off the cliff sometime. The thing is people have been pretty much saying that for the last 2 or 3 years on this site (not for sure though) but he keeps chugging along and proving everyone wrong year in and year out. Is St Louis in a position to break into the playoffs, heck no. They do produce inconsistently and SJax does get his. That is approximately 1500 yards (run and catch). The only thing that varies is the td's. Will this groin keep him from playing week to week, we will see. I actually drafted him as my RB2 so to think I was going to get Mathews was pretty weak. I was just following the thread and listing my offer to get Mathews. The other guy can counter will see tomorrow morning. That is the deadline. Thank you for your thoughts and I agree with them. I just think it is crazy that people sometimes tear others down without an explanation of their opinions. Not expecting a long drawn out affiair just a couple of sentences backing up their claims. So kudos to you and I never took what you said as ridicule.

So, before Mathews has his first game...

I appreciate everything you guys are saying and I somewhat agree with you all, but Jackson is not a piece of crap RB. They are not that far apart. Sure Mathews can be a top 5 Rb where Jackson will be closer to 10 to 15. I just don't think they are that far apart. Besides Jackson will probably play this week, so the supposed groin injury probalby is not as bad as some are making out to be. Now I do agree Jackson has a norrible schedule this year so his overall numbers will probably be down a little this year. The thread stated what is the lowest one can get for Mathews for impatient owners. So I posted my potential trade. Do I think it will go through, no. Don't crucify me because you don't value Jackson as high as some other people. If you wouldn't do the trade that is fine, but don't try and belittle me because you don't agree with the offer. By the way if the trade would happen to go through, that doesn't mean I am a s.o.b. or the guy who did the trade is a bonehead. You may think he is but no one knows for sure how the season will play out. Finally no one still has given me any concrete logic as to why the offer is so lopsided. Where is the critical thinking that is very common to this site and its patrons. I have coming to the site for the last five years but only started posting last year. I have totally enjoyed the in depth knowledge a lot of people give on this site and it has served me very well. Anyway no big deal that everyone may disagree with me. I would like a little more substance as to why.

So, before Mathews has his first game...

Well the guy I'm trying to trade with has already considered it and has indicated he will give me an answer by the end of the day. He seems to like the scenario, but we will see. I personal opinion is S. Jackson has perforemd well, maybe not up to Mathews but not far off. Just have to wait and see if he accepts the trade or comes back with a counter offer.
  23. NE-TheGoodLife

So, before Mathews has his first game...

Your opinion and that is alright. With jackson a little nicked this week and mathews potential I believe I'm alright. The other side of the trade may seem a little off but I think Johnson performs at the same level as Floyd first half of the season then I will try and move Johnson in a trade when the weather begins to diminish. Had him last year and he did really well until weather went cold and buffalo played tougher defenses at the end of the season. I just wish you would have given a little explanation to your "You are an idiot response".Its hard for me to take you seriously otherwise.

Garcon's "foot" injury is giving me flashbacks....

Don't you know men do not fight (are wrong) we just explain why we are right!
  25. NE-TheGoodLife

Higher upside the rest of the way...Decker or S. Johnson

I agree. I had Johnson last year and he was pretty good while the weather was decent and Fitzpatrick was able to stay in the pocket and throw. Once the weather turns crappy and they play potentially better defenses later in the year, then watch his productivity go down. I am trying to get him in a trade for the next 6 to 8 weeks then will try and trade for the playoff run.
