    Stories of fantasy dedication

My league is a work league and one of the guys in it had a minor heart attack during our shift and while he was being stretchered out on a gurney by the ambulance crew he was making sure with another owner that the trade they made was officially a done deal before he went to the hospital.

I'd be going to the championship BUT ...

I feel your pain. Going into Sunday night in my non-keeper leagues conference finals I noticed that the ESPN site had errored (which it did also in my 2 other ESPN leagues) and matched me up with the ESPN ranked opponent and not my conference semi-finalist. In the other 2 leagues the commishes simply changed the matchups and made it right but when I e-mailed this league's commish about the error he "didn't want to hurt anybody's (his close friends) feelings and didn't correct the matchups. I lost 138 to 134 to someone I shouldn't have even played and the opponent I should have played won 98 to 92. I've since dropped out the league, but seriously?

    Grossman?

I'm most concerned with the week 9 scenario with Houston where Pittsburgh gets up big in the 1st half (21-3 or something) and Tomlin does his typical "going in a shell" offense and does nothing but run the entire 2nd half. There's something to be said about some Sexy Rexy garbage time points against the Pats when the Skins get down by about 4 TDs and have to pass all day. If Rex could just stay away from throwing to the other team...

    Grossman?

I'm in the same boat with Big Ben. He's usually good for a 180-200 yards and a TD or 2 but the good/bad Grossman matchup against the Pats is pretty interesting. Am I getting to cute and reaching? Hate to blow a playoff game getting away from who got me there.

Joe Paterno just hit the Waiver wire.....

Joe Pa is definitely guilty of not pushing the issue more with the university trustees, but as far as going to the authorities, a big issue is everything he knew was second hand accusations at the time. Now in hindsight it's a no-brainer the police should have been called but to have Joe go to the authorities at the time with heresay from an assistant may have been different. McQueary, his son, and the parents who informed the campus police about the allegations who did not go the authorities WITH THEIR FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE and push the issue are the bigger problem. I would call Joe Pa the Mussolini to a whole bunch of Hitlers running around that campus.

    Week 5 QB blues

Stuck in a predicament for week 5 at QB. I've got a banged up Big Ben v TEN or scatter armed Cutler @ DET. On the WW is McNabb v AZ, T.Jackson @ NYG, J.Campbell @ HOU, A.Smith v TB, or Painter v KC. Should I go with what I got or pick up a WW bum for this week?
