For all, see here: http://www.ffblife.com/Fantasy-Football-Start-Sit/startsit12week3.html Start Robert Griffin III, WAS, vs CIN: 3 weeks in a row, but I know a lot of people still haven’t put him in their line up so I’m going to still put him here because I have him as my number 1 overall QB this week. With Brady and Brees struggling, Aaron Rodgers against a very tough opponent on the road, and RG3’s match up I feel like it’s time. Cincinnati just gave up 300 yards passing and 2 TDs to Brandon Wheeden! The same Brandon Wheeden who had a 5 QB rating the week prior was made to look like a regular Aaron Rodgers. Now it’s RG3’s turn. Michael Bush, CHI, vs STL: I loved Michael Bush coming into the season, and I love him this week. When Bush is the featured back he nearly never disappoints. St. Louis has played much better the first two weeks of the season, but by no means have they completely fixed what was one of the worst run defenses we’ve seen in awhile. Whether you own Forte and need a replacement, or were lucky enough to stash Bush, get him active. Sit Peyton Manning, DEN, vs HOU: I thought it was just me, and then I heard a lot of commentary which made me feel a little saner, and Peyton’s arm looked very bad on Monday night. All of the worry about throwing to his right came completely true on Monday. Each of his 3 picks came from challenging the right side of the field on intermediate to deep throw attempts. If Peyton can’t use the whole field, he can’t completely play with defenses the way he is accustomed too. This week he gets the best pass D in the NFL in the Houston Texans. Bad combo. Willis McGahee, DEN, vs HOU: Houston has one of the tougher defenses around, which we noted up with Peyton Manning, and things will be nearly just as tough in the run game as we mentioned in the pass. McGahee isn’t expected to top 20 carries very often this season and I don’t anticipate it happening in back to back weeks. Running backs isn’t exactly a deep position this year so I understand options are thin, but if you are one of the lucky ones with some depth, consider using it this week. That was the average total that they New England Patriots gave up through the air last season. Sure things can change over the course of a full offseason but is there some coincidence that the Packers, Patriots, Saints and Giants were the 4 teams that gave up the most passing yards per game? 4 teams that happen to all be among the top teams in the league in pass attempts? Of course there is a correlation. The Patriots throw the ball all over the field, they score points and thus get into shootouts. Conversely, their opponents are baited into a similar required strategy to repeat. Locker will get a pristine opportunity right out of the gate to test out the Titans new Run N Shoot offense they hope to excel with. Michael Bush – CHI vs. IND: Michael Bush is not the lead dog in Chicago, and I’m sure every Matt Forte owner is starting him, but the Indy defense has not looked physical at all this preseason. I think there could be some nice rushing stats to go around and I feel pretty confident Bush will score at least one rushing touchdown. If you are playing a committee type backfield, this is a great week to play Bush, Michael this time. Justin Blackmon – JAC @MIN: My second wide receiver rookie, but this one with the bigger name and pedigree. The Jags plan to line Blackmon up all over the field this Sunday against the Vikings, not exactly known for their pass defense. Blaine Gabbert actually showed some semblance of an NFL QB this preseason and a great early rapport with the young wide out. The end zone visits will be tough to predict all season with the Jags, but there should be targets and yards galore for Blackmon to gobble up. SIT Andrew Luck – IND @CHI: Everything about Luck has impressed me so far up to this point. I, like everyone else seemingly in the history of world, think he will be an absolute stud at some point soon and will probably be too good to ever need to be listed in this article. Not today. Not in his first real NFL game against the Bears, in Chicago. No thanks. All Washington Running Backs: This is a mess. I heard the Chris Cooley story the other day (he walked up to Ryan Torain in the locker room last season before a game and said he needed Torain to do well because he was starting him that week against his wife in his fantasy league. Roy Helu went on to rush for 140+ with 2 TDS) and when a guy on the team is getting screwed over, why should any of us take a shot? Miles Austin – DAL @NYG: Call me a worry wart but something about this guy’s hammys scares me. The last thing anybody wants week 1, or any week really, is to start a guy and expect something great, only to have him leave in the second quarter with 2 catches for 17 yards. I would feel much better seeing Miles get through a full game’s worth of action unscathed before I felt good about putting him in my starting lineup. MJD is tough, wasn't this much info when doing the content. Lynch on the other hand will be fine and the entire offense is built for and around him. If you pick up most mags, due to the time they have to make the content you'll see the same MJD issue. If he comes back though, he should be successful, especially with more around him.

I like Meachem this year as well, Floyd too. Without VJax, Rivers could spread it more but Floyd looked good late in the year, even with VJax. Mathews should catch a good amount as well. Marty Booker to be exact…I know disgusting right? Well Jay Cutler finally has some targets. An offensive line on the other hand, who knows? The almighty Gabe Carimi is supposedly healthy now and will help the Bears’ dreaded offensive line, or at least that’s what the front office is praying. Mike Martz is gone (exit 5-7 step drop backs). Mike Tice is in (enter 3-5 step drop backs). Jeremy Bates is reunited again with Jay, who says Bates is one of his favorite coaches. Brandon Marshall is here. Chicago drafted Alshon Jeffery to fill the deep threat that the Bears have been missing since...well forever. Earl Bennett has grown and been reliable. Devin Hester is somewhere in the mix though Johnny Knox might not play a down this year. Still Chicago finally has some better targets for Jay Cutler, so a breakout season is in the works here. This is going to be one of Jay Cutler’s most productive years in recent history. We all know about the connection of him and Marshall back in the Denver days. Two consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and NOBODY in the NFL had more receptions besides the great Wes Welker. I know Cutler isn’t really that “likeable” of a guy, but c’mon people! Robert Griffin III currently has a higher ADP (8.06) over Jay Cutler’s (9.06). Big Ben is also being drafted ahead of Jay. Sorry, but there is no way I would ever draft RGIII over Cutler that early. No thank you. Big Ben possibly, but Cutler still should turn out statistically better than both of those guys. Stevan Ridley, New England Patriots – I know, New England is a passing team on every down. I get it. The thing is, BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 24 touchdowns the last two years. 24 touchdowns in 410 carries. New England is a passing team, but has no problem rushing at the goal line. Joseph Addai is no guarantee to make the team, and judging from what we saw in glimpses last season, my money is on Ridley’s talent to win out. He won’t be a 300 carry guy, but a lesser talented Green-Ellis had over 1000 yards and 13 TDs just two years ago on 229 carries. A more talented Ridley could top that. Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos – In 5 games started last season, with Tim Tebow as his quarterback, DT finished with 551 yards and 4 touchdowns. And that doesn’t include his 204 yard TD performance against the Steelers in the playoffs! If that wasn’t enough to excite someone going into his next year, how about this? His team added some guy named Peyton Manning to throw to him. The number 1 receiver with great size and athletic ability in a Peyton Manning led offense? Saying anything else is a repetitive read. Jared Cook, Tennessee Titans – I had Jared Cook as a sleeper last year and he provided some quality games for his owners. I, like I think he is, am ready to take the next step and list him as a full blown breakout candidate. Cook had all world talent at tight end; size, speed, and athleticism, he just needed to put everything together. Final 3 games: 21 catches, 335 yards, 1 touchdown. With Chris Johnson holding safeties, Kenny Britt back out wide, and newly drafted Kendall Wright providing another speed threat outside, Cook could thrive.
