Ohio State's Troy Smith lobbying for Browns to draft him
DankNuggs replied to ShaneFalco's topic in FFToday Board
i hope smith isn't implying they should take him in the first. -
Huge advantage for the Bears that I haven't heard mentioned
DankNuggs replied to Chronic Husker's topic in FFToday Board
They are the best D in the league. Not just the NFC. This game is truly a match between two bi-polar children in Peyton and Rex. The first one to turn to the darkside loses. Both can snap in an instant -
Actually, no. I was long out of the FF race at that point after drafting Ronnie #1 in two different leagues. Im a pats homer, I got to see plenty of that offense. After the 10th 15 carries for 32 yards performance, I got numb.

I think Joey played pretty well in Miami. Was clearly better than C-Pep, another year learning the offense can only help.

To make a declarative statement like that without any consideration to the offense, or division they play in is assinine. The dolphins can't run the ball. They play NE, Buf, NYJ, all three have strong run defenses. Their O-line is garbage. He is a solid back, but Ricky Williams will also have a chance to platoon next year. He may have a good season, but is no lock to rush for a grand and 8 scores, much less 1500 and 14

"Bears...finishing what Katrina started"...what class
DankNuggs replied to lifelongcowboysfan's topic in FFToday Board
Simmer down, its kinda funny in a twisted way. It obviously isn't serious or belittles the actual struggle -
if manning goes for 300 and 2 scores, the MVP is his.

there is speculation the lions could get bumped from their spot on Thanksgiving
DankNuggs replied to Bugs Bunny wuz here's topic in FFToday Board
I think the tradition should stay. I like watching the Lions on thanksgiving, they are so terrible, i never get the chance to watch them any other time in the season. Because of parity, everything is cyclical, Millen has done as good a job as he can to keep the Lions from following this path, but they'll be back soon enough Keep the tradition -
bottom line is the guy is maybe a #2, most likely a #3 backup. Short, weak arm, played on arguably the most stacked team in the nation skillposition-wise.

Colts and Bears homers food question for you guys.
DankNuggs replied to rottytiny's topic in FFToday Board
My Sour grapes are not anywhere pointed towards Peyton Manning. We choked away the game ourselves, manning did all he could in the first half to put the game out of reach. While i wish you the best in the SB, Your best hope to win is having Mannings thumb flare up and have Paul Justin pull a Romo/Garcia The vast vast majority of posts here seeking advice don't provide the framework to make a reasonable analysis. You find a thread where the guy posts detailed rules, lineup and scoring background vs. "Reggie Bush vs Westbrook" who is better? I read here for entertainment, although 99% is ###### Grano Salis -
I think discounting Peterson is a mistake.

Its almost been 4 years here. Which is a short tenure as compared Mannings tendencies -
guy is 5'10" No chance to make an impact in the NFL. Stick a fork in him. I think he'll be sitting next to Michael Bishop
-
If Lovie Smith gets his head out of his @ss, Thomas Jones will be the MVP. Benson isn't even close to the back that TJ is. He'll tear up the indy D, put in a few TDs, and get the MVP.

In the movie Caddyshack, there is a black guy in a row boat during the scene where dangerfield drives around his yacht... Always reminds me of Reche

Colts and Bears homers food question for you guys.
DankNuggs replied to rottytiny's topic in FFToday Board
Manning has been working on it his whole career Actually - Tee Martin won a championship in Tennessee with the same team Peyton choked with... So maybe its not a native indy dish Its a manning genetic defect, like autism -
Colts and Bears homers food question for you guys.
DankNuggs replied to rottytiny's topic in FFToday Board
I beleive Mannings favorite native Indy dish starts with collecting a bowl full of salmon bones, the tiny ones you pick out of your teeth occasionally.. He then ingests them continually until asphixiation and coughing commences... He will then pass out, probably near the 4th quarter as his 'laser-rocket arm' throws a duck to a Bears DB who takes it to the house for a victory. -
Fortunately, the strength of the draft is very similar to the needs of the pats. They won't draft another WR in the first round, and I think they can get an LB like Poz. in the second. I'd love to see them draft Landry and have E. Wilson as the two safeties, go after Poz in the second, and see if you can get some defensive depth through the rest of the draft. They can sign a WR FA. and let Jackson develop for another year. Beyond that, we are in very good shape.

Brian Westbrook and Reggie Bush
DankNuggs replied to Nate Burleson's Burly Son's topic in FFToday Board
If you can only keep the guy for one year, I'd take Westbrook (6th) Think about it as Westbrook + 3rd Round Pick vs Bush + 6th Round Pick. They will be comperable enough that the upside you can get in the 3rd round makes it worth it
