Can anyody offer advice on how to set up a blog

Good advice. If you don't have the knowledge to install something on a server/computer, then just go use Blogger or something similar. It will work very well for what you're trying to do. Very simple.

Big Ten Player of the Year is....

Athletically, he reminds me of D. Wade when he came out of Marquette. Athletic enough to get to the basket and strong enough to finish with contact. His shooting from the outside has improved by leaps and bounds since his early days. And, he holds the school record for vertical, besting Michael Finley. That said, his defense could definitely use some work. It'll be interesting to see how, or if, his game translates to the next level.

    hey donhass

Maybe, but considering they are probably going to get yet another matchup with Michigan State, I have a bad, bad feeling about the Big Ten Tourney. State has really taken it to them this year.

**** ahman green to sign with texans ***

I'll miss Ahman. I'm not sure what to think about Morency. He's a hell of an athlete, and never really got a fair shake in Houston. Last year, he looked pretty good at times. Remains to be seen if he can handle the load, but I think he has some potential. I also like what I've heard about Arliss Beach. Green Bay will certainly add a running back at some point.

    Pack offers Rodgers for Moss....

This is great analysis here. Uh, the guy came in as a rookie and beat out veteran WRs for starting gig. Do all rookies do that? Personally, I don't think Jennings has a superstar ceiling, but he's going to be pretty good. Better than 'decent' I think.

    Pack offers Rodgers for Moss....

While the 'pick' logic isn't flying with me, I once again agree with samp dog here (and it scares me....again). Moss has lost a step. Moss is a cancer, when things go bad. If he comes in and wins, he'll be happy. What happens when Favre hangs it up and things don't go as well? Will Moss be happy? I doubt it. First and foremost, this trade will never happen with Moss's current contract. Remains to be seen if he'll restructure. Lastly, why not save the pick and or player and make a run at Joe Horn? Is there really that much of a difference between those two at this point? I don't see one.

    WTF people?

Congrats to the Big Ten champs. Wisconsin is a severly flawed basketball team. As concerning to me as the missed free throws was the fact that Tucker and Taylor bascially disappared for stretches. I loves me some Jason Bohanon, but when a freshman guard is the one shooting you back into a game, you got problems ahead. The upper classman on this team need to get their ###### together, or they'll be facing an early exit.

    Brewer Ball 2007!

    Your worst nightmare.
  10. We got our asses handed to us last night, with one guy on the opposing team scoring about 35 points. There was this skinny runt guy who ran around a lot but didn't do much. We've played agains them before, and this guy has done nothing in any game, including last night. Well, he broke away from his defender on a drive to the basket, so I hard fouled him to prevent the shot. Being he weighs 90 pounds and I weigh 190 pounds, he hit the deck pretty hard. I asked him if he was OK and attempted to help him up. Fast forward to under 2 to play in the game. We're down alot, and he swats the ball away from me. I dive for it, and we end up running into each other and both hit the deck. Foul called on me. This guy gets up and chest bumps me, saying "That's the third time you knocked me down". I stare him in the eye and say "Do you want to make it four?" At which point he quickly retreats while just about every other player on the courts steps in front me me. I then proceed to shout obscenity's about how he's a whiny ###### who should take it to dance class if he can't hang. He then misses a free throw as I'm escorted to the bench by a teammate. I let him know he has a pure shooting touch that you just can't teach. In any case, I never planned to be that guy. But sometimes, douchebags have it coming. I hope we get another crack at these guys. I'm a quiet guy, but when pushed, my basketball trash talking takes on a life of its own.

Almost ejected from city league basketball game

Yep, pretty much. Which is why I said I never planned to be that guy. Even I have limits. We played like dung, and this guy started something. I didn't handle it well.

Almost ejected from city league basketball game

Works for me. It's the best I could do. I hard fouled the guy who dropped 35, but he made the shot and hit a free throw. I didn't do that again. I'm not dumb.

Almost ejected from city league basketball game

I don't discriminate. I would've responded the same way to any of them. He was the only one to take offense. Clearly, he's intimidated. I hope we play them again, because I won't even need to touch him. I'm already in his head.

Why the Packers should not trade for Moss....

I agree with both of you. I can't believe that Packer fans would want a washed up, poor attitude having, team wrecker on the roster. Not good for a young, developing group.

More Randy Moss to GB/Favre talk

I may be alone, but it would be very tough for me to turn on a Packer game if Moss was on the team. Seriously, what the hell good does it do them? Lose out on a young talent by giving a pick for a washed up team cancer? Makes no sense. In addition, this is the complete opposite of Ted Thompson's style so far. He's proven to go after guys with far more character than Moss, and far younger for that matter. I think the above article is nothing more than a writer talking. I can't imagine this happening, and I'd consider giving up my "Packer Fan Card" if it did.

    Favre to play

I'm not as optimistic about the 07 Packer chances by the way. They played a very, very light schedule this season. By finishing where they did in the North, things get much tougher in 07. I like the progress, but this is still a very young team with some serious holes to fill. I don't see enough talent there to finish 8-8 again with a tough schedule. It'll be very hard to do.

    Favre to play

I don't often agree with swamp, but he makes at least on valid point in this thread. Favre has indeed looked tired and physically and emotionally beaten down at times the last two seasons. You can see it very clearly at times, expecially after bad losses. This is an astute observation. As for Packer fans 'applauding' his mediocrity or his coming back hurting the cap number. We're not applauding mediocrity at all. However, none of use want to move on to the Aaron Rodgers/Ingle Martin era. We know Favre isn't what he once was, but we also know that he's still a good pro QB, and can still play. Why wouldn't we want him back. A guy like Favre has earned the right, in my opinion, to go out on his terms. Just like Rice. Just like Montana. Just like Elway. They decide, and who are we to question that? As for the cap. Last time I checked, Green Bay is projected at 27 million or so below next year's cap. Favre isn't hurting them here at all. It's not like Thompson is out there flinging around cap money.

    MicktheGreat's Mock Draft

The interesting thing here is, I actually think Marviel Underwood would've beaten out Manual had it not been for the knee injury. And I think Thompson has shown a history of waiting out young players with potential. For instance, Brady Poppinga was in almost this exact position heading into this season. Thompson thought enough of him to wait it out, and while Poppinga had some growing pains (specifically in coverage), I thought he really improved as the year went on. I could see a very similar scenario with Underwood. However, with Blackmon never really getting healthy, I think DB is still an area of need.

    Yet another mock draft

Good effort. I'm good with Lynch to Green Bay. Gets them another weapon. I have a feeling they're going to roll into the season with Green, Morency, and Arliss Beach at RB. But still, it's hard to pass on a Lynch if he makes it to them. This pick good go a lot of different directions for Green Bay.
