Who is Bad Bunny? SB Half Time Show Performer 2026
Thornton Melon replied to TheNewGirl's topic in The Geek Club
I've heard 90% of his "songs" are done in Spanish. So, it'll be a genre I can't stand done in a language I don't understand. Yippie! Rat's ass. I watch for the game, and hope my squares and prop bets hit. -
A Massachusetts city was named among the best places to live on the East Coast

By the amount of glue sniffing that goes on there, that's not a bad guess. But, it's Glawstuh -

How come they never give black names to hurricanes?
Thornton Melon replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character, and they will one day see a hurricane with an apostrophe in its name. - Dr. Martin Luther King -
Median home prices by state - As of April 2025

Yeah, I know NH property taxes are high. I was really referring to living "close to" NH, as you said. It's worth living close to NH, like I do, to have convenient tax free shopping. My daughter and SIL just bought a house in southern NH. Going forward, we just might have our online purchases delivered there to avoid the sales tax. -

You must be forgetting the sales tax, or lack thereof, in NH. -
While I despise liberals just as much as the next sane adult, Cruz is %100 right here. No government official or entity has any business even commenting on the Kimmel situation.

I saw them 6 years ago, also in November when they do a Christmas themed show. Yeah, it was a good show. They have a bit of a hair metal vibe, which isn't my cup of tea, but they pull it off. Good musicianship, a couple of hot backup singers...you'll enjoy it.

I have a Credit Karma account, and it supposedly shows my Transunion and Equifax credit scores. Suspiciously, they're always exactly the same, and always 20 to 30 points higher than the Experian score I get from my Bank of America account. Going by Experian, mine is typically 800 - 810

It's Springsteen, and not even close, for me. I've owned a half dozen Springsteen albums and zero Joel albums. They're two different styles, Joel is pop, and Springsteen is rock. That said, I don't know why anyone argues over music. It's like food. You like what you like.

I always hated him, because he was a Hab, and the Bruin's nemesis. But I grew to respect him. RIP

Most ridiculous home run you will ever see. Not counting Canseco's off the dome
Thornton Melon replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I don't know why you say "impossible". The glove could hit something while the ball is in it, causing the ball to pop out. But, that still picture is better and does show the glove open. I just couldn't see that, even in slo-mo. Then again, I'm old -

Just looks like it bounced around in the webbing after his glove hit the pole. Looks like his glove is between the ball and the pole the whole time. -

I still don't see it. It looks like it may have hit that support that juts out from the base of the pole, but not the face of the pole itself. The support is painted yellow too, so I assume it's considered HR territory. -

I've watched this 100 times, and I still can't see where there is irrefutable evidence the ball hit the foul pole. I was thinking they ruled it a HR since the ball was in his glove when his glove hit the pole, then he dropped the ball, i.e., his glove was an extension of the ball.
