If you like sauce on your steak, it belongs on your steak. If you don't like sauce on your steak, it doesn't belong on your steak.

Let's see....I'm one year closer to retirement, and my nest egg grew 17%. Yeah, I'm more satisfied. -

Thornton Melon replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Geez, my sister applied for Italian citizenship 3 or 4 years ago. They told her it would be around 2029 when it's approved. I guess you gotta be a celebrity... -
AOL ends dial-up service after more than 30 years...
Thornton Melon replied to posty's topic in The Geek Club
I never had the pleasure of dial-up internet. I only know those modem sounds from old commercials and videos. Broadband was available in my area when I first got internet in '99, and there was no way I was gonna use a house phone for that. -

"Smooth Criminal" by Alien Ant Farm at #6??? I think that's a great cover. I never thought much about the original, but the cover made me actually like the song.

There was some hair metal band in the '80s that did a "Radar Love" cover. The girl in the video had a great ass. -

The "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" was meant to exclude royalty and invaders. If you sneak into the country, you're an invader.

If I was riding in your car, I'd jump out. Or, I'd just fix the clock.

Time....every daylight savings time, I go around to all the digital clocks in my house and our cars, and synchronize them to the time on my phone. If one lags or speeds up during the ensuing months, I'll readjust it. For any analog clock, I'll get it as close as possible. There's only one correct answer to "What time is it?" : Ask the Melons!

Loved the show, but 15 years later? I'll give it a shot, with low expectations. Maybe that's a good thing.... -

Libertarianism is also by definition limited, constitutional government and personal responsibility. So....no Welfare, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, no gun control, very limited business regulations. So, I guess you can't be a libertarian if you don't believe all these things either, right? You know, you can identify with a political party and not agree with everything they stand for. That goes for Democrat, Republicans, or any 3rd party. By the way, the Libertarian party no longer espouses open borders. Since 9/11, they've been in favor of regulated immigration.
