The world around us is ever changing. That’s a great point of why people read/study the Bible. The Word doesn’t change, preachers don’t invent new ways, like any teacher they knows more than their students, they teach it, many Christians don’t always understand everything that’s in the Bible, why not help them understand the Bible? The Bible shows us God’s character and provides us God’s revelation of Himself to those that don’t understand the Bible, why not have preachers teach them how to understand, just like educators do outside of the church, yes? 1. It gives instruction for daily life. 2 Teaches us how to pray, that’s not an easy one for new Christians, preachers help with that often. 3. Preachers help explain the Bible, just like any teachers helps explain any text book. why is that a bad thing? 4. Preachers help explain how to share the Gospel, very important to any true Christians, Jesus said to go out and reach all creation. 5. Preachers help us to understand how the Bible is teaching us how to trust God. Very important to have a true relationship with God, what’s wrong with that? Many reason for preachers to preach the importance of God’s Word, it can save souls like yours, but you choose not to believe, even though like everyone you know it’s true.
