limping into the playoffs with injured players
Vols replied to madd futher mucker's topic in FFToday Board
I'm in the exact opposite scenario. I struggled through the regular season with tons of injuries and am looking pretty solid now. My injuries included SA (7 games), Hasselbeck (4.5 games), Fitz (4 games), and Steve Smith (first 2 games). -
If you move the Broncos up about 3 spots, it's not a bad list.
-
I'm riding out the storm, but that's because I can. For starters, I'm 6-2 with a 2 game lead in my division. I also have decent options at RB until his return. Chester Taylor, Thomas Jones, and Deuce are all performing ok for now in SA's absence.
-
It's one thing to not field a TE, but to not put a Defense in is idiotic. You act like your roster is made up of studs that can't be dropped. I would drop Washington or Leinart in a heartbeat for a Defense/ST. You're likely giving up 8-10 points by not putting a D on the roster. I have both Heap and the BAL defense, so I'm in a similar situation (can't drop Alexander or Fitz from my bench). I'll likely keep Heap in the lineup since the waiver options at TE will only net me 2-3 points, but I made the tough decision to dump Reggie Williams for a second defense (Arizona).

Funniest post of the day. Why would a SA owner, who has ridden out his injury weeks, trade him now? You must play with some real novices, because any owner that knows anything would be salivating right now with him returning next week and his easy schedule.
-
If you need a RB, I'd jump all over that deal. I actually traded for Fitz, but I have a 4-1 record and enough WR depth to be able to wait 4-5 weeks for him to get healthy. I'm rolling the dice that he'll be a stud again come playoff time.
-
Just my 2 cents, but I can't imagine Fitz coming back before his bye week. He's a receiver and his legs are his "life". He's out this week and probably next, so if they brought him back after that, it we be for one game before the bye week....I just don't see that happening.
-
I drafted him as my #4 WR, and he's actually number 2 in WR points in our league (behind AJ) overall. Our scoring really favors guys who return punts/kicks (1 pt per 15 yards).
-
The other thing about going with Denver this week is that they don't have any double digit spreads over the next several weeks, so use them now.
-
I just picked him up in a trade. I now have Steve Smith, Ward, and Fitz as my WRs. Hopefully, Leinart can step right in and start hooking up with those stud WRs.
-
Keep in mind....Seattle's offensive line has a lot of injuries right now. Chicago D plus a shaky O line equals a tough day for Hass. I'm starting Brady instead.
