    ++ Update: Ray Rice Released

    I could at least give him the benefit of the doubt with no video. Maybe he shoved her and she fell and hit her head (still not ok). Maybe she was drunk and he knocked her off balance and she hit her head (still not ok). Maybe he tried to parry one of her advances and she hit her head. No, with the video, you clearly see he knocked her the eff out and then stood over her with no remorse or concern for her well-being, then tried to push her out of the elevator with his feet.

    Goodell should resign

    Gee, maybe it is too much to ask the man making millions to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident before making any decisions. If he saw the video of the elevator incident prior to suspending Rice for two games, that makes him heartless and a liar. If he didn't see the video prior to suspending Rice, that makes him incompetent. I bet he was more concerned with Rice injuring his hand on Janay Palmer's face and the fallout if that video ever was made public than any victim of domestic violence.

    Goodell should resign

    So how much money he makes the owners and the popularity of the league are the only two pieces of criteria you use to judge him on how well he does his job?

    ++ Update: Ray Rice Released

    Seriously...Roger Goodell makes a ton of money in a high profile job. How hard is it to make the right decision the first time? If evidence surfaces that he saw the elevator video before suspending Rice for two games, he and Rice should both be selling used cars in Cleveland.

    Yeah, too bad I started Amendola instead of him in my PPR flex.

    League, union strike tentative deal

    What is Gordon worth?

    Here are my thoughts: The NFL is all about money. What do they have to gain financially by having a star player sit out a season? Will that sell any more Gordon shirts, put more fans in the seats in stadiums where Cleveland plays, or have more people tune in to watch? No. Goodell and the NFL management have egg on their collective faces over the Ray Rice/Josh Gordon suspensions. If they can hammer out a deal it will be win-win for the NFL and the NFLPA. If you get him at 25% and he plays the whole season, you got a steal. If he plays half the season, you are probably breaking even. If they don't reach a deal, go to the FU thread and rail on Goodell.

    What is Gordon worth?

    Would it be worth it if he came back for half the season? I can't see spending 70-80% on him. Waiver goes through tonight. What if negotiations fall apart Sunday and you have blown all your money on a suspended player? I guess that's why they call it gambling.

    Moreno or Amendola in flex?

    PPR. Starting AJ, Jordy, and Fitz and Foster and Pierce. Leaning towards Amendola.
  18. phillygrrl08

    Witten/Davis

    I'd take it. Witten is injury prone with a QB coming off of back surgery. VD is healthy with a young and resurgent QB. I really like VD this year.

    If you want your team rated.

    10 team 1 ppr. 6 points for all TDs. QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, Flex (WR/RB/TE), K, D/ST Crazy draft. Run on QBs early... Picked 9th. QB: Kaepernick WRs: DT, J. Jones, A. Brown, VJax, Cooks, E. Sanders, Mike Evans, Gordon RBs: Ryan Matthews, J. Bell, B. Pierce, F Jackson TEs: Gronkowski, Rudolph (both have the same bye, but went with best player available) D: Chi I am WR rich and RB poor, but may be able to trade Evans to a TB homer if he plays well. If Gordon is out for the season, I drop him for a kicker. If not, I'll drop Fred Jackson.
  22. phillygrrl08

    Trade? Offered Jeffery for Foster in ppr league?

    It would be nice if you could get VJax and J. Bell in exchange...see if you could parlay Foster and Crabtree or Patterson into something that got you both. If he wants Foster badly enough, maybe he'd bite.

    Help My Team

    Drop Bradford and Prater and see if there are any promising backups on a team with a decent offense. I have been skipping over Ball and Gerhart and targeting J. Bell in later rounds, but I am in all PPR leagues.
  24. I think Foles is an above average quarterback who will succeed because the Eagle's oline is solid and he throws a lot to his RBs. He doesn't have to be spectacular; as long as he can hand the ball off to McCoy, get rid of the ball quickly, and avoid throwing interceptions he'll be fine.

    Michael Sam will not play a down of NFL football.

    He came out publicly to beat an SI story that was going to run outing him. He came out on his own terms. He was also getting ready for the onslaught of questions about girlfriends, etc, that all players are asked at the combine. Don't think for a second that he didn't consider everything that comes along with coming out before the draft--draft value, being passed over, having his personal life discussed. He got ahead of the story. The worst is over. I predict he has a productive, prosperous, and welcome career in the NFL.
