  1. @LunaTick ... excellent post. Good food for thought. I'll have to forward this to my brother, who is a long time Vikings fan.

    Anheuser Busch?

NFL sponsor Anheuser-Busch 'concerned' by 'recent incidents' http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24712039/anheuser-busch-disappointed-increasingly-concerned-by-nfl-incidents
  3. Exactly. People should consider that this Rice fiasco might light a more of a fire under the league's butt to get the HGH testing agreed to. Congess, as if they have nothing better to do, has rattled their sabers before about the NFL's drug testing policy. They will get some positive press for HGH testing and they hope it will defuse some of the bad press from the train wreck that they created with this Rice situation. No one will freak out if they reduce Gordon's suspension. It doesn't mean they will but it won't be because of bad PR. Pot is now legal in two states because they need the tax revenue. More will follow. Smoking weed does not make him the pariah that it would have many years ago.

NFLPA HGH Tentative agreement reached - Breaking news.

Here is the link to the article about possibly overturning the suspensions ..... http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11471429/nflpa-wants-new-policy-reverse-drug-suspensions ...and the relevant quote .... NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith told a Washington radio station Friday that, in talks with the NFL about a new policy for performance-enhancing drugs, the union will seek to reverse suspensions that occurred this year but are based retroactively to the previous policy. "We don't want players to suffer because the union and league couldn't get it done before the league year," Smith told 106.7 The Fan, adding that the union would not agree to any policy that punishes players on simply being arrested.
  5. 12 team standard league 5 bench spots start 3WR I blindly picked brian hartline as my last pick .... ha, nice one there. I have an add drop in for Hurns or Wheaton
  6. The Stafford owner in our league looks like he starting Campbell this week. He was cruising along with no backup QB and picked up Campbell the other day.

Where are we at with Nick Foles?

Here is an interesting article on Foles: http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/SBNation_20131016_Nick_Foles__the_Eagles__new_starting_quarterback_.html Some extra info on Vick http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1813899-michael-vick-claims-hamstring-injury-worse-than-he-previously-anticipated Michael Vick said his hamstring pull is "worse than what I thought it was going to be." Vick has already missed 1 1/2 games and is almost certainly out for this week's game against the Cowboys. He has no idea when he'll be medically cleared. "I want to get back out there, but I can't," Vick said Wednesday. "I try to burst and run, I can't do it. Just hoping it's not a long time." Vick added that the injury is up high in his hamstring, in the spot where trainers usually see longer recovery timetables. Pencil Nick Foles in as the Eagles' starter indefinitely.
