Odell Beckham Jr. traded to Cleveland

His target share may go down, but I expect his quality targets to go up. Less defensive attention, and he has a QB that extends plays. Essentially, I see him getting less defensive coverage, and more time to get open on an offense that should score more and be on the field longer than the Giants. As of now, I'm buying Beckham and he's on my draft radar.

Odell Beckham Jr. traded to Cleveland

Steelers and Ravens have taken a beating in trades and free agency. Bengals always suck. Browns are now the favorite. Mayfield extending plays with those weapons, good luck to the defensive backs covering Beckham and company for that long.

Is Full PPR Too Much Nowadays?

I don't play ppr. As others have said it was meant to make WRs more valuable, so fantasy drafts weren't all RBs in the first 3 rounds. Now that WRs have caught up to RBs, the only purpose it serves is to down play the importance of TDs, and make third down backs relevant to a fault.

    Mr Guru re Tyreek Hill

In fantasy, would rather have a Hill type who is more likely to get you 30 points or 5 points, or a guy like Davante Adams who was consistently around the 15 point mark? I lean Adams, but I understand the love for Hill and his ability to win you weeks.

    The Free Agency Thread

The Cardinals need to sign 2 or 3 top linemen and I think they should make a strong push for Tyrell Williams. He fits their need for a big outside receiver that has some speed.

    Krafty move

This part of your statement is completely untrue. Prostitution has opened the door for sex trafficking. Its become a massive problem and it's one of the worst crimes. Women and young girls are being abducted, ripped away from their lives and forced to live in terrible conditions and do unspeakable things all because perverted men want to pay for sex and some men want to make money on the perverts desires.

Just heard Crabtree was released by Balt.

Why? Are you Bears or Packers fan?

Kareem Hunt signed by Brownies - 8 Game Suspension

Unless I'm missing something, this contract could be for 10 games or less. It's a one year deal and he'll be suspended for a good portion of that. He'll be a restricted free agent, so I guess the Browns get the ability to match an offer but is it worth the bad press?

Kareem Hunt signed by Brownies - 8 Game Suspension

It will hurt Cubbs value, but there's likely a lengthy suspension coming.

Least important position other than K/P?

He probably doesn't hit the 50% Superbowl mark, but I think the hoody has proven he can win a lot of games with lesser QBs.

That's the great debate isn't it? Their sustained success is a result of consistently having the combination of elite game planning and elite execution.

The coach is the Superbowl formula.

Least important position other than K/P?

A coach can elevate a QB in the same way. If Goff isn't a franchise QB, which I agree with, how did he lead a top 3 offense? Foles with the wrong coach is trash but with the right one is a Superbowl mvp. It's not about having an elite QB but elite QB play. Which can be achieved with a coach not just a QB.

Least important position other than K/P?

Certainly there's more than one way to construct a Superbowl team. I just think the NFL is changing. The formula has been do whatever it takes to find a top 10 QB and then do whatever it takes to keep him. Teams are realizing that there's a different way to get top end QB play, and that's through finding a top offensive coach. It doesn't eat up precious cap and you don't spend years searching and spending tons of draft capital on a shot in the dark QB. Because of this I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rams trade Goff before his big pay day. They traded draft picks and handed out contracts to non QB players like they were candy this off season. The best way to get the picks back and stay under the cap is to trade Goff and have a journeyman QB come in.

Brees and Brady are both on the below market contracts I referred to. Both being top 3 QBs regardless of coaching, but giving home town discounts. Goff and Mahomes are on rookie deals. Also, Goff was atrocious before Mcvay and I'm still not sold on him being a true franchise QB without a great OC/coach. The points you made about the last 4 QBs playing actually gives more credence to my point. Between Donald, Suh, Brockers, Talib and Peters, the Rams have a lot of their cap tied to their defense. Which they can do, since they have a QB on a rookie deal. If the Chiefs had spent more on defense, particularly defensive tackles, they probably would playing this weekend. On your last point about what to do when a QB wants a new deal. You draw the line at certain dollar amount. Right now, if a QB is making more than $25 mill per year, the teams ability to assemble a talented team around him starts decreasing rapidly. If you have a true franchise QB, you set the line at a certain amount. If he wants more than that, trade him for a kings ransom and let his contract impede a different team. The ability to find bargain players in the draft is vastly underrated right now, but teams that have high dollar QBs need to find a lot more of it. Spend your time and money finding and keeping a great offensive minded coach, and you'll always have solid QB play.

I don't think QBs are worth the money. You really need to have a top QB on a below market contract or a middling QB on an affordable contract. A top offensive coach is proving to be more important than a top QB.

Least important position other than K/P?

Does the fact so many are projected in the top 10 say they're are a lot of good ones, or that it's really important to find a good one? The sack leader was an interior lineman, the position is changing. Maybe the run stuffers are less important, but a pass rush up the middle is how you disrupt a lot of the passing schemes. If Donald can get pressure on Brady, it may be the difference in the game. It's known that the best way to beat Brady is to get pressure up the middle while only bringing four.

KC better win in the next couple years...

Touche, but I stand by that you need to find a bargain at QB that plays above his market value.

KC better win in the next couple years...

Two of the top 10 highest paid QBs made the playoffs. It's much easier to win when you have a good QB on a rookie contract.

Remember when we all that Jared Goff was a bust?

I wouldn't be shocked to see him traded before he gets his big contract extension. Big QB contracts weigh down franchises, especially QBs that aren't elite. If the Rams feel like it's a lot more McVay than Goff, then I think they may try and trade him. The Rams traded picks, and then handed out a lot extensions and cash this past year. Trading Goff could recoup those picks and keep them under the cap.

That's not being fortunate, that's making plays. You can say the same about plays the Patriots made.

A "true fan" should want to watch an organization clouded in scandals? Most of us are just waiting for this year's to come out. Not sure how anyone can definitivly say the Patriots are the better team. They were just the one to win the coin toss.

The NFL must have decided that a Boston vs LA Superbowl is more appealing than a New Orleans vs Kansas City. It's the only way I can understand the officiating I saw today.
