Mixon, Adams, & Mayfield made sure that I would have no chance tonight...on to week two.
-
It shows how undisciplined they are and with the personalities on that team that's a big red flag.
-
So many to hand out today. Mayfield, Adams, Julio, Mixon, Ertz, Breida, Browns DST, ....leading me to the worst week 1 I've ever had

Renfrow becomes the WR to own in Oakland. He's a poor man's Eldeman, also known as a Cole Beasley.
-
Yeah, a guy drafted as a wr2 is a massive sleeper.
-
I guess the Falcons have come to appreciate having an elite WR that isn't an a$$ hat.
-
Based on his new contract Falcons seem to think Julio is.

Shall we kick off the Week 1 overreaction thread?

Adams is putting up the worst season of his career -
A fourth round pick seems like a steep price to pay for a laundry man

I don't think Hill is behind Edwards. I think Hill has a different role than the other RBs there.
-
I like Mcdonald and the guys you would have to drop, so I'd pass on him if I'm you. Waller is a fine flier at TE for those that are streaming, but I think Mcdonald is a tier above weekly streaming and the late round options that Waller should be lumped with at this point.

I think there's a difference between Gordon who just wants some weed, Randy Moss who wanted the d@mn ball, and Brown who wants his old helmet to protect his dumb a$$, dramatic head. Brown has never given those in authority respect, and has never been a team player. He's taken diva WR to a new level.

Would have been nice knowing this going into my draft.

I see two potential headlines for Sony going into the NFL playoffs. Option 1: "NFL leading rusher Sony Michel is ready to lead the Patriots offense to another Superbowl" Option 2: "Sony Michel suffers set back from his third knee scope this season and is likely to miss the entire NFL playoffs"

12 Team Standard - Ended up going WR heavy, as the RB value just wasn't there at my spots. Picked enough backs with upside and proven roles in the later rounds where season long I think I'll be okay. QB: Mayfield RB: Mixon, L. Murray, M. Breida, R. Freeman, J. Hill, D. Thompson (), D. Hilliard WR: J. Jones, D. Adams, J. Gordon, M. Gallup, M. Hardman TE: Ertz K: Prater Def: Browns

Both Winston and Arians are chuckers. It should result in solid stats, but I don't see the int's decreasing.

I guess it depends on the criteria considered. For Fantasy football MVP, I think value is as important as anything in this debate. Mahomes draft spot made him the MVP last year. His stats are now baked into his draft price, which to me, decreases his case for fantasy MVP unless he exceeds those from last year. I think it's going to be a rookie RB. If Montgomery or Sanders get the primary job, they're going to have a strong case at their draft day price. If Williams in KC gets hurt or is dethroned by Thompson by the mid season, he's going make a strong run at it.

Assuming you start two RB two WR, I like your starters, but I hate your bench. Penny has looked like trash, and Hunt is eating a spot for 8 weeks. I like Hill if that's who you have. Fitz it's pretty meh for a WR3.
-
I didnt see the game. Is he actually looking like vintage Thomas or was this just a preseason statline ?
-
Edelman and Gordon both played tonight, so it was worth asking.
-
Based on the way RBs are handling their contracts, we won't have to wait until it's up.
-
League size, starting lineups and scoring system are required to give an accurate response.

Have you ever won a title when drafting.....
Brutal Brutus replied to oldtimer's topic in FFToday Board
I cant recall ever winning a title while drafting those positions early. However if you go back far enough to the days where Manning and Tony G. were head and shoulders above everyone else at their position, and I wouldn't be surprised if someone walked away with a title because of that advantage. -
The Ravens used a fourth round pick on Hill and it would make very little sense to do that if you are truly happy with the backfield you have in place or if you thought the player being selected didn't offer something your team was missing at RB. This is really the first off season they are building a scheme around Jackson and his abilities. I think they saw something in Hill that will compliment Jackson and the scheme they want to run. I don't know if Hill becomes a workhorse if Ingram goes down, but I think he has a role in this offense. Edwards might be a better handcuff for Ingram, but I don't think he's a better compliment to Ingram and this offense.
