I think Berry could be a lot better if he were to go to a niche website, where he can go into intricacies, but the ESPN producers don't want that. They want a guy to explain the basics, that is creative enough to do it in a semi goofy, entertaining way. A big reason why we think ESPN sucks is because they weren't trying to get us to play fantasy football, we already do (or have a site we are loyal to already). ESPN is for a broad audience, where this site is for a very specific niche. ESPN goes over the ABC's of fantasy because that's what the vast majority of their viewers want and understand.

Those RBs are more likely to make a difference in your season, but you're still far more likely to use a second TE than a late round flier RB.

I was really hoping daily would be banned everywhere, so I wouldn't have to sit through another season of those awful commercials playing on repeat.

Late Round RB Lottery Ticket? Booker, Washington, C-Mike, Howard?
Brutal Brutus replied to MissionCoach's topic in FFToday Board
I'm jumping on the D wash bandwagon. The Raiders offense is better than most people give them credit. Carr is a QB who has improved every year. Cooper looks like he will be a legit #1 WR and Crabtree is finding his groove as solid #2 option in that offense. The o-line is being hyped as one of the best in the league, making any running back they have a potential top 12. The d isn't great, but good enough to hold onto most leads, making 4th quarter ground and pound a real possibility. I think Murray will be the guy for them this year, but if he goes down Washington becomes a borderline #1 just based on the situation. I believe Washington will carve out a role regardless of Murrays health and could turn into a decent flex option in some deeper leagues. Booker is in the Kubiak offense which gives him a solid chance at starting one week and being benched the next. The Raven back field is cluttered with guys, so I'll pass on all of them. I own Rawls in a keeper league (17th round) so CMike at the right price I'll be interested in, but I'm not reaching for any of the Seattle backups. Howard is probably the second most interesting to me, but with Langford being the current starter, Kadeem seems to have the trust around the red zone and the o-line is awful. There are more late round WR fliers that are interesting to me than RBs. -

My main problem with Dez is you have to hope both he and Romo stay healthy for him to produce at a top 10 level....Big if -
I understand the sentiment, but if you end up with a TE1 with an injury history, the chances of you using a mid tier TE 2 is a lot greater than that RB/WR flier paying off. If I draft a TE2 it's an insurance policy not a lottery ticket.

He just doesn't do anything exceptionally well. I can't think of a single thing he does that is "elite." Goods size and speed, decent hands but will drop some he shouldn't and always seems to be battling some injury that hampers him a bit. He's a jack of all trades but master of none. He's a fine #2 or 3 receiver for an NFL team, but when you're on a team that spreads the ball around, has a receiver with truly elite speed in John Brown, and Fitz who is a better route runner, has better hands and is more trusted by the QB, you're a WR 3 in fantasy.
-
Living in AZ I hear hype for this guy every year, and every year he disappoints. He's not good enough to be a true WR1 in fantasy or real life. He'll have a couple of games with a TD and maybe a 100 yards receiving, but I think a he's more of a steady WR3 in that offense.

In a 12 team league I'm eying Allen and Miller as my TE's. Depending on how the draft pans out, Allen I can grab around 9 or 10 with Miller being an 11 or 12th rounder. Both have shown flashes in the past and are finally a lone starter in an offense that throws a lot.
-
I'm not sure there is a more polarizing topic in fantasy draft strategies. I see over twenty QBs this year that could form a decent platoon situation, is it crazy to wait until the last 4 or 5 rounds before drafting a couple QBs? Do you think a Dalton/Tannehill esque combo will be good enough?
-
I like a potential of a Fitzpatrick/Winston combo. Winston has a decent upside with Fitz being a steady 18ish point guy.
-
This just reassures me that the Titans are going to be a ball control offense. I think both Murray and Henry will be solid values where they are currently being drafted. Matthews will be a steal in ppr leagues a consistent WR3 in standard.

Doug Martin vs Thomas Rawls How close are they?
Brutal Brutus replied to ouradu's topic in FFToday Board
Seattle isn't a team that does a time share. Last year when Lynch was healthy the job was his, when he returned, despite Rawls being productive, Lynch was still the bell cow. I think Seattle spent those draft picks trying to find a replacement for Fred Jackson and a better insurance policy for Rawls. I don't buy the Christine hype, they've had ample time to look at him and if they thought he was capable they wouldn't have spent those picks. . I may lean Rawls because of the offense and Sims is a more capable back than any of the ones behind Rawls. Although, with Martin at least you know who is back up /cuff is. -
WR is the easiest position to find servicable talent at. I would do it.

Trade - Gronk (TE) for Julius Thomas (TE)
Brutal Brutus replied to tronix7787's topic in A Little Help!
Really depends on your teams position. If your team is in lower half of the league and need a pick me up Gronk is a good place to be looking. If youre in a good position and feel strong about your team I'd stick with Thomas. He (and the Broncos offense) seem to be a much safer bet at this time. -
Agree. If you have guys that can replace Lynch, you may have done okay. If losing lynch is going to hurt you (I'd be shocked if it didn't) then this trade isn't going to work out well for you. I'd much rather have an iffy TE spot than an iffy RB spot.
-
I would think you could get a better WR for Lacy in this deprived RB league. If I were you i would try and hold on to the three starting RBs you have and package one of your back ups with a receiver. Woodhead has been playing solid but hes in a platoon situation, and the Panthers are about to get Stewart and Barner back to throw into the mix of Williams and biggest fantasy vulchure of all time Tolbert. Woodhead and Johnson could land you a decent WR, if you find the right owner.

Which 3 WR's to start in week 6? Please Help!
Brutal Brutus replied to smashleybs's topic in A Little Help!
Thomas, Boldin Blackman....The first two are obvious and Blackman is coming off a strong week against a Denver D that isn't. -
If Garret Graham (Hou) is available he should be your first choice. He was a top 15 TE before Daniels was hurt he should easily be asufficent bye week replacement, and possible a top 12 TE for the next 4-6 weeks.

MY FANTASY FELLAS! HUuuGE TRADE NEED YOUR HELP! Leave link
Brutal Brutus replied to Kibbles N' Fitz's topic in A Little Help!
I can tell you how you're 0-5. You have a team of under performing duds. As far the trade goes, do it. Forte gives a consistent scorer at RB, and T Rich will be better than CJ0K. Colston, Bowe, Gordon, and Wallace may not be a great WR core but its more than adaquate if you play match ups right. Either way, you're 0-5 and probably hate looking at your roster, at least now its a different roster. -
I'd drop Miller. Fleener is in a better offfense, and even though this has been said about Finley for the past 3 years and has amount to nothing so far, he has the potential to be a very good TE, which is more than you can say about Miller.
-
Romo is looking like the safer bet at this time. Even before this week, Romo has always put up consistant numbers and hes playing in the NFC East and there isnt a better division for a QB to be in. 2 games against the pass D's of Philly, Wash and 1 agianst NYG. Thats the defintion of an owners fantasy dream. Throw in his non conference schedule and you're looking at a dream with a possible happy ending (championship of course).
-
Really depends on what the rest of your roster looks like. If youre set at QB and RB then I'd say you made out just fine.
