  1. If I take Murray I'm reaching for Henry, if I don't take Murray, I'll still take Henry at the right spot.

Worst case scenario for that is ending up with a mid to low RB 2 and potential flex play. Thats as safe as it gets for where they're being taken.

  2. He has an injury history but you can get his handcuff for dirt if you want. Pay attention to see if it's barner or Smallwood. Whether you draft Matthews or not, they should be on your list of late round fliers.

Also, what back that's in line to be the starter doesn't have a big question about injuries? Only missed three games last year, which isn't that bad for where he's going.

  3. Can someone please explain why the experts like Anderson so much? I see him ranked ahead of Latavius Murray and I can't figure out why. It looks like Murray has a better o-line, has a more proven track record and probably has a longer leash due to the unproven back behind him. I'm in a keeper league and I may be deciding between one of those two or a receiver like a Cooks, Evans, and Jeffery.

  4. Different take here.

I am all in on Henry at his current price. Muddled mess until one gets hurt, but if it is Murray, then Henry becomes a potential championship pick that you acquired for pennies. I am grabbing him in every draft.

Just curious, around what other RBs do you have him ranked? I see him going just after Jennings a lot of times, which isn't terrible value, but I wouldn't classify it as pennies.

  5.

Henry is definitely the goal line back, not Murray.

Maybe, but Henry won't vulture all the goal line work. Murray is a capable goal line back, and I think it will be whoever is on the field will stay on the field situation. They drafted Henry to be the back of the future, but they're paying Murray a lot of money to take him it out in the red zone.

  6. Is it the DeMarco show or will it be a two headed monster with DeMarco and Henry?

Which tier do you have the two ranked ppr?

I like both of them. The offense should be all about ball control, with plenty of carries to go around. I see Murray taking the majority of carries early on, with Henry getting a few more touches as the year goes on. If either of them goes down, the other becomes an RB1 instantly.

  7. Which of the RB's on this list can you assume will play 16 games.

    McCoy - No

    Ingram - No

    Lacy - Yes

    Charles - No

    Martin - Yes

I realize that Bell has an injury history but very few RB's don't. That's why I didn't try to factor that in.

Read the first part of my previous statement. They may have an injury history, but they don't have two significant knee injuries in the previous two seasons. You have to factor in his injury history if you're going to draft him.

  8. It's not 13 games of Bell vs 16 games of these guys. It's 13 Games of Bell + 3 games of your number 3 RB vs 16 games of the players in this tier. That's why Bell for most, stays in Tier 1.

I realize assuming any RB plays the entire season isn't wise, but assuming Bell plays the 13 games he is eligible for is crazy.

  9. Mccoy - I think he finishes as a top 5 back this year. Zero competition after the release of Williams, and should get a decent amount of receptions. Watkins is good enough to keep defenses from stacking the box.

Ingram - Not a ton of competition for touches, but Hightower will steal a few TD's away this year.

Lacy - Looks good so far and I'm intrigued, but the Packers trust Starks. If Lacy can't get it done they'll switch to Starks, and your 2nd rounder is on the bench for the Packers and you.

Martin - Hit and miss every year, call me a skeptic.

Charles- too much risk at his price

  10. Counteroffer!! He has opened negotiations and his overall point is valid - you have excellent WRs and a problem at RB.

Since he has expressed interest I would suggest a counter of A Brown, D Lewis, and Henery (whoever that guy is) for his top RB (A Peterson/Gurley/D Johnson/L Miller/maybe M Ingram), Moncrief and a lower RB Stewart.

You have the top WRs by far and a problem at RB. Bell is out for 3 weeks and you have no depth. DLewis is out 8-10 which makes him useless. K Williams is fat and in rehab and just got cut. You can't seriously be thinking about starting Henery at RB2, can you?

Of course more info is needed, like what starting rosters are like, ie 2 WRs or 3, whether there is a flex, etc. But from the surface info I see, if I were you, I would make inquiries into trading a top tier WR for a top tier RB before the season starts.

Brown by himself should net you one of those guys. Henery will probably be a decent flex play by the time this year is up so I would hold onto him. I would see if he is interested in Cooper. If I were you, a Cooper for Stewart/Gordon/Johnson and Moncrief would be more appealing to me. A minor hit at receiver and gives you a little more RB depth to play with. You also haven't specified the league type you're in, PPR or Standard and also starting lineups, both of which play big roles in this trade.

  11. i do like moncrief as much as ty

i do like lockett as much as baldwin

i do like marvin jones as much as tate

but this one here i might have to pause a bit......i do like parker alot...and i could see him putting up some nice td totals and maybe having an allen robinson year....at the same time gase was able to get welker in the endzone 10x...if he gets landry in there 10x landry is going to be tough to top for parker i think

Valid point, but Demaryius Thomas, and Alshon Jeffery. Two guys that have had Parker's role in Gases offense. Parker has talent, and is being drafted as a #3 receiver Landry is going 2-3 rounds earlier.

  12. I'm in a league with similar keeper rules with a few differences. We have a two keeper limit, with a two year max for keeping the same player. The first year you keep a player, his cost is the round he was picked last year. All keepers that were claimed off the waiver wire and were not picked in the previous draft, count as last round picks. Players that were dropped during the year and picked up can be kept, but still count as the round they were picked in. You can't keep two players that will cost you two first round picks, any other over lap in draft value keepers results in losing the previous pick (trying to keep two players in the 8th, will cost a 7th and 8th rounder). The second year to keep a player we use the players ADP based on a website we decided on. This is complicated, but it keeps players moving around and a person only really benefits with a great value for one year, forcing people to draft well every year.

  13. Other than fftoday, what other sites do you guys love to pull info from?

I like fantasypros.com. The articles aren't great, but each player has a list of different articles from various websites. It's an easy way to see different opinions and why certain people are drafting or avoiding someone in a draft. If you want real indepth websites, some of the articles on the players will have links to the other websites which go into a little more detail. Also, their draft simulator is about as useful as any mock draft on ESPN or the other websites, but only takes about 5 minutes. So it may not be great but if nothing else it's a decent way to kill 5 minutes.

  14. Funnily enough, I've actually started to feel the desire to start a dynasty league that is RB heavy (.25 a carry, no PPR for WR, .5 PPR tight ends). I love watching running backs, particularly good ones, over a long course of time.

Might have to think about getting wheels on the ground for a league like that...

PPR made sense when fantasy first started where every pick in the first two rounds was running back. It helped balance the WR RB positions a little bit. Now it almost has the opposite effect, with the only saving grace being it gives certain the 3rd down backs some value.

  15. Nothing worse than a fantasy snob thinking, the only way to do it is the way he does it. Ppr sucks to me. Everyone catches passes, finding a solid running back who gets carries is more difficult these days. The best leagues to me are the ones with your friends, where you get hammered on draft day and take there money at the end of the season.

  16. I think people are being far too dismissive of the idea. Every league is different and every person should draft based on that league. I'm not saying I'll do it, but I can see where having a #2 TE that you actually think can put up TE#1 like numbers is a worthwhile pick late in the draft.

  17.

Really? What back up TE am I going to use over my starter on his bye week? If my TE goes down I'll just grab a TE off waivers and most likely be fine but if my RB goes down it's going to be hard to find that replacement off waivers.

Your example is what I conceided, and nothing what you said contradicted what I said. TE is easier to fill but you're also more likely to actually use a TE #2 due to bye week or injury, than a RB that we are simply assuming is the #2 in line, and may or may not carve out a role.
