I would say, that if you do not have to start a TE, then I would not do ths deal. Basically you are trading away your WR1 and getting 3 WR2's (at best) for it. I don't see how you would improve. If you had to start a TE, and didnt have a good one, then it could be a different story to gain Ertz. But I don't see what he is offering is any better than the WR2's you already have.

I have been sitting on him all season, and at this point might not have the stones to play him. He has not topped 70 yds all season long. I think the emergence of Golladay is his swan song. On the wire, I could still grab Godwin, Allison, or even Jordy Nelson (who's situation may have improved). I have a week 10 WR dilemma coming if Kupp isnt ready to roll by then. So the question becomes, is it time to cut loose from Jones for some WW wonders listed above?

Here are th options for week 8. So far I have pretty much bombed DST streaming this season, yet to crack more than 4 pts, and have had a few negatives already. Ugh..... Here's what is out there for week 8: Cards vs SF - Could be good. Colts @ Oakland - Oakland mailing it all in this year? Miami @ Houston - another possible good one Redskins @ Giants - high sack totals? Pitt vs Cleveland - maybe? KC vs Den - they did ok against them in first matchup and this one is at home. What do y'all think? WHIR

I think I'd roll with Trubisky at home. Bears offense improving week by week. Granted you'll have to deal wit 1-2 intrceptions, but I think you;d get that from Mayfield also. Trubisky likes to tuck and run too.

As I have no vested interest, I have not been following the Fournette injury closely. Why did Jax trade for Hyde? I would seriously satisfy myself with that situation before I made that trade. On the flip side, you are trading away pieces you don't necessarily need and getting a potential RB1 if Fournette returns.
-
I would roll with the Red Rocket. A banged up Watson and Thursday Night football to me sound like a potential problem. And I am a Hopkins owner.... Really not comfortable with them playing Thursday night.

Disappointing game for Engram. Not targeted enough. Luckily I stuck with Burton this week and will continue to do so until Engram proves otherwise. But man that Giants O-Line stinks. Not very optimistic for Engram to do what he did last year.
-
Looks like Engram is coming back. Eli has been brutal however. In spite of that I still lean towards Engram as he will likely see more targets. Burton still scares me, but he has been pretty good, saved by TD's a few times. I'm rolling with Engram unless yall convince me otherwise! WHIR

Chubb avaialble?
-
I had to make a very similar decision. Didn't have aLex Collins, but I decided between Ito and Carson on who to drop. I dropped Carson as I just don't trust their HC and every week it can change over there. I think Ito has more potential upside than Carson. I think I'd also keep Collins over Carson. So in a roundabout way, that is my answer.
-
Whoa! Thanks for the heads up. Just snagged Chubb.
-
Agree with above. Crabtree and Winston.
-
I decided to roll with San Diego this week against Tenn. It was between them and the Colts. I was all set to use the colts but then I heard Derek Anderson was playing for the bills and that gave me a brief instance of pause. Switched to SD instead only becuase Anderson could come in and pull an Osweiler (against the Bears). LOL

Im biased probably becasue I have Kerryon, and am hoping his HC gets his head out of his arse and gives Kerryon more touches. The difference between him and any other RB on the Lions is staggering. This said, right now, I'd rather have Breida simply for touch count, but I have to think common sense will prevail in Detroit and Kerryon could move up to cloer to 20 touches. He is uber talented and could put up big numbers if he were to get that... So Breida has higher floor right now. Kerryon is a long play with high potential.
-
Ok, so, mr RB's for week 7 are: Hunt - auto start Connor - bye - and may be done D. Freeman - was ready to slate him in when connor done, but now he's out until week 9, ugh... C. Carson - bye Kerryon - not sure if hes in. If he is, I guess for I could start him, but he is capped by a stupid HC Waiver wire wonders: L. Murray - dalvin still out? Gore - really worth picking up and starting over Kerryon? M. Mack - I actually dropped him several weeks ago LOL - maybe I need ot grab him? Ito smith - a rental until D. Freeman comes back Duke Johnson - against tampa, could be a sneaky play So, it looks like it comes down to Kerryon being healthy or not. If he is, I'll roll with him, but should I consider picking one of these guys off waivers? And if so, the real big question is who to drop? My team is in my sig. Thoughts? WHIR

Do you have both? I'd roll with Ebron until he gives you reason not to. Burton is TD dependent, and otherwise doesn't get many targets.

Which TE to Play Rest of Season, Burton, Njoku or OJ Howard?
skydiverd replied to fatguylittlecoat's topic in A Little Help!
As a Burton owner myself, it saddens me to say Njoku. Burton just isnt getting yardage. -
Drop J Cook, Baldwin or Fitzgerald for a WK 7 QB?
skydiverd replied to FootballT's topic in A Little Help!
I agree. Baldwin and Fitz are trending upwards. Cook trending down. I'd drop cook as well. I'd grab Dalton or Winston. Dalton has the better matchup this week. Winston though, could be great ROS. I grabbed him in my league and he gave me a win in week 6 -
Week 7: Dalton @ KC… Or Flacco Home Vs The Saints ?
skydiverd replied to easilyscan's topic in A Little Help!
I think I would grab the red rocket. I think this week it will be a coin flip between him and flacco, but your strategy is sound for prevent defense. And honestly you may want to take advantage of one of those upcoming matchups. -
I gave that a lot of thought also, and more or less went on player ascending vs player descending. Looking at ROS rankings they are both close, but perhaps I should have held Jones. He's still there, I may make a claim to grab him. In either case, If I'm starting one of them, I am in trouble. LOL. Probably should not be holding 2 TE's (as that would have eliminated this problem) but I don't have confidence in Burton yet (meaning Trubisky), and hoping Engram can come back and do what he was projected to do.

Looking ahead to week 8 Rivers has a bye. Winston is available now, but I fear that he might not be after this week. Team is in my signature. Really not sure who I would want to drop to carry a 2nd QB. I just grabbed Evan Engram for a future stash as I'm not yet confident in Burton. Im leaning toward Jones. He seems to be declining with emergence of Golladay, and at this point the person I'd least likely plug into my lineup. Still holding hope that Kerryon will get more work, and I think he will, incrementally. Carson is another option but it seems like even in is timeshare may get a significant amount of carries. I also like the idea of starting Winston this week over Rivers. Arghh. Why is this so hard? LOL

Ok, It;s done. I anguished over the decision, but I did let go of M. jones. He may have a better floor, but I think Alison has a higher ceiling. Hope I didnt F myself LOL Winston is in the lineup, giving Rivers a rest. I hope that ATL TB game is all it should be.

I think I woud do this deal. In 1 week Connor may be worth nothing, exept to the Bell owner. I have been trying to shop Connor around but my league just doesnt trade very often. So, I'm using Connor this week and fully prepared for him to be nada after that. I think once Bell is back then the Bell owner may give me something for Connor. I won't flat out drop him, as you never know what could happen. But to get someting of season long value for a guy that the odds seem in favor of only playing one more week, make sense to me. I would have no problem having Kupp and Cooks. Can play them both when you feel the matchup is right, or look to trade one of them as they both have worth. M. Jones is about useless now. Golladay has seen to that. LOL

Drop Burton, John Brown, Tevin Coleman, Philip Lindsey, or Ridley for V. McDonald
skydiverd replied to Eddie Kennison's topic in A Little Help!
Soo, I noticed Evan Engram was dropped a few weeks back, and decided to eye that situation..... He is close to healthy now, so I decdided to swap V. McDonald and stash Engram on my bench behind Burton, with the hopes that Engram will play week 7. Hope this doesnt bite me in the butt... No more Vance Dance. LOL -
While I don't have too high an opinion of Drake, I'd say no. You may only have Conner one more week, not sure how this is all going to play out. Williams is still hit or miss, as Rivers loves spreading the ball around. Drake did pretty well this week, right after I cut him (long story). If you had more RB depth, I'd say yes. WR waiver wires are easier to come by than RB waivers.
