    Who wins this trade?

was just the perfect storm of injuries, consecutive losses, and roster needs that the other owner was in a desperate situation for me. i'm surprised he let alshon go honestly. I'd asked for Landry in a similar package minus Hill. I've been trying to get Martavis since week 1 but his owner knows better. He'd be my 'value' pick for best chance to explode ROS that shouldn't necessarily cost an arm and a leg. I know that's not going out on a limb but maybe another target for you to consider. I think you could package some of those players and snag him.

    Who wins this trade?

Thanks for the input! This trade was actually accepted this afternoon. The league has been pretty trade-adverse over the years, maybe 2-3 per season if any at all. I'm actually the Team 2 owner. Team 1 had Jamaal Charles, and has been on a downward slide since his injury. He initially told me he didn't want Luck, but i rebutted that Luck is only 12 points behind Ryan in 2 fewer games so that must have struck a chord. In my view I basically upgraded my starting roster by inserting Alshon for Hill at the cost of, as you said, mediocre RB depth. Now I just have to reverse course on the "Hill will be a beast down the stretch" i've been telling myself since I kept him in the 4th round.

    Matty Ice or Big Ben?

I'd start Ben as well. Steelers' passing O is gonna start rolling again down the stretch. If you (anyone reading this, really) can potentially acquire Bryant then I would pursue that aggressively.

RB Help Gore, Anderson or Andrews pick 2!

tough call. ultimately, the final decision for me would come down to the titans O being pathetic. i'm a fan so it's been tough to watch. I'd probably avoid starting any Titans players until further notice. Delanie Walker would be the only exception and even then I'd pause.

    Keeper Draft Suggestions

weepaws i accept your silent apology

I am close to accepting it...need opinions

tough call honestly, since you aren't that strong at RB to begin with. i'm guessing your starting roster (besides Rodgers obv) the past 2 weeks looked something like: RB: Hill RB: Abdullah (or dion) WR: JMatt WR: Keenan Flex: A Rob (or abdullah/dion) After the trade, it would probably look like this: RB: Latavius Murray RB: Abdullah WR: JMatt WR: Moncrief Flex: Keenan/ARob or something pretty similar. really it's up to you to choose which lineup you prefer. If i didn't think Hill was going to meet his preseason expectations, I'd probably go with the 2nd lineup. Moncrief has looked great (in a small sample size thus far) and it looks like the Colts will be forced to air it out all season. If you want to keep the faith in J Hill then I would decline. I'd look to start shopping Kelvin Benjamin for any needed upgrades you might need as teh season goes on. I took him in 2 keeper leagues, traded him in one and holding on for a few more weeks before doing the same in the other. He can be someone else's headache coming back from an ACL injury next year, but still holds plenty of value in keeper leagues regardless.

Crowell, J brown, or tate on flex?

i've really come around on John Brown, not that I was ever that low on him. Everything I read and watch just screams "breakout" to me. Larry Fitz calling JB "the future" in a live ingame interview this preseason, living and practicing with Carson Palmer over the offseason, his preseason production to date, it has me pretty excited to see what he can do. I really like him this week and this season.

    Keeper Decisions

12 team league, .5 ppr, 100 yard rush/rec bonus and 300 yard passing bonus, big play bonus. 6pt TDs. I pick 11th. 1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 FLEX, DST - got rid of kicker this season We keep 4 players, and I'm already keeping: Jeremy Hill (4th) Demaryius T (6th) Latavius Murray (12th) Which 1 of the following would you keep? (round cost in parentheses) Andrew Luck (2nd) Lamar Miller (3rd) Travis Kelce (9th) All summer I've been thinking Kelce bc of the obvious value. I've been reconsidering Lamar lately because a quick mock with everyone's predicted keepers left me with a bare cupboard to choose from in the 3rd - which is more like the 5th in redraft leagues. (Desean Jax/Maclin types). I do love Kelce but TE is fairly replaceable, and with so many keepers RBs are at a higher premium than ever. I also mocked myself drafting Luck or Rodgers in the 2nd, but I could assure Luck in the 2nd by keeping him. Who would you keep?

    Keeper Decisions

bump for more opinions? keeper deadline approaching soon. i will help you with your ?? as well.
  11. in this format, i'd swing for the fences and draft WRs all day long here. I'd rather secure a stud WR (or 3) before worrying about a lone RB position. In PPR there are plenty of serviceable RBs. aim to get foster in the middle rounds (5-7) and in a month your squad will look beastly on paper. *this strategy might also blow up in your face and you'd have to watch AD/Lacy both rush for 2000 yds and 20+ tds each.

KEEPER Help - M Bryant, Watkins or Olson

I'd keep Bryant at that value. He will be a stud when he gets back on the field. His talent is undeniable and his role as a deep threat will win you weeks this season. Of course, this is betting he's not josh gordon off the field the next month or so.

so does this team, outside of your top 3-4 picks. at least you got that backup D everyone's been sleeping on

    Think I got lucky. Comments?

Apollo, my friend, I may be new to this forum but I've been playing FF for many many years. If you draft 2 DSTs you are wasting a roster spot. The amount of turnover at DST every year guarantees you can find better options on the WW after only a couple weeks. Sure, later in the season it doesn't hurt to pick up another strong option for the stretch run, but drafting 2 Ds is redundant and unnecessary. I'd rather use those last spots on lotto tickets.

5th Pick in 12 Team PPR --- RB Heavy League

Lynch > Forte this year imo, but if its PPR i'd consider a stud WR here too.

    Think I got lucky. Comments?

since it is the league that requires 2DST/2K, it is the league that i rate 0/10 based on principle. within that league, though, i really like your squad. problem is every team should look really good on paper in 10 team leagues. You've set yourself up nicely and i agree with polecatt, dark horse contender.

thanks for answering mine earlier. first off, can you clarify the keeper situation? did that mean in 2016 you will have a keeper from this year's squad or did you get a player from your 2014 squad to keep? i am assuming the former for this post. also, how do you like redrawing your position every 2 rounds? seems it could go south really quickly. here's how i see your squad. QB: you're set. for now and the next 4+ years likely. i am assuming this is why you took rodgers #2. RB/WR: putting them together since your settings are unique - assuming full health, you're starting Forsett, Cobb, and Jeffery every week. Deciding your last 2 flex players is going to be nerve-wracking every week of the season, unless Hyde/Ivory takes off (which they both very well might - i like Ivory this year). If that doesn't happen, though, you will need to hit on the FA/waiver wire to find a stud. I'd also consider trying to package gio with a WR to the JHill owner for another sure-fire every-week starter. I'm not owning roddy white in any leagues so he's basically droppable imo if you find an available player with upside. weepaws makes a solid point, you may be forced to rely on your RBs early so I hope they all hit! not knowing the other rosters, i'd say going QB 2nd overall put you behind the curve this season at a cost of a top 2 QB for the foreseeable future. savvy mgmt is crucial. DST: kenjon barner (sp?) has looked great on returns, and they scored a ton of DST TDs last year. like panthers D to rebound a good bit as well.

    Rate my team please!

thanks for having a look at mine earlier. QB: Stafford, Mariota - A healthy Calvin is a qb-saver some weeks, but i wouldn't want to start either of these guys if i didn't have to. Look to upgrade or stream if stafford really struggles. He could shine but that's a risky bet consistency-wise. RB: J.Hill, Hyde, J.Bell, Vereen, Grimes - love Hill, think you'll be waffling on Hyde and Joique for the RB2/flex as the season goes along. WR: A. Brown, Cooks, Tate, Smith Sr., Hurns - great for you that Brown fell to 5th in this setup, and Cooks will light it up. Tate and possibly Steve Smith will be part of that flex decision headache all year. At the end of the day, you get to cheer on AB and Cooks, two of the most 'fun to watch' players out there this year. i'd be excited about this. TE: Bennett, D. Allen - could be worse. Bennett will see plenty of targets. Like most teams in 12+ ppr leagues, RB is a little weak but that is mitigated because most everyone deals with it. I'd be more concerned you don't really have a clear-cut standout flex, which is really important imo. I'd say this looks like a classic "make the playoffs and lose first round" middle-of-the-road squads. Great in-season mgmt could push you over that 'mediocre' label. remember you just gotta make the playoffs, and anything can happen.

thanks for the reply. RB1 is definitely the glaring hole. My hope is that one team with a stud RB starts really poorly so that I can flip Kelvin Benjamin (10th round keeper next year) in some sort of trade for a better RB after the first few games. will have a look at yours later today.

does this league start 2 DSTs and 2 kickers? because i'm pretty sure you have 2 DSTs and 2 kickers on this team. i rate this team a 0 just based on principle. you were doing fine the first 11 rounds then you had to leave, right? RIGHT?

    Bonus leagues

one of my leagues is very similar. here's some screenshots of last year's top 20ish results posted below (sorry don't know how to rename links): first, my rules for comparison: http://i.imgur.com/y18q6D6.png *** fumbles -2 got cut off btw QBs: http://i.imgur.com/kE3BwmW.png RBs: http://i.imgur.com/0sfSpXU.png WRs: http://i.imgur.com/PdjroJT.png TEs: http://i.imgur.com/RDdKbud.png All Flex: http://i.imgur.com/JMdrQYu.png
  23. no worries! to each their own. elite RBs (not just 'solid') still rule the roost in standard is all i'm saying.
  24. barring a miracle i'd think, on paper, AP and Lacy would be hands down the best RB combo in your league. in a standard league that is easy $$

In a 1-2 player keeper league

i would probably only keep antonio brown, depending on who else you think might be available to draft in the 2nd round. McCoy scares me this year, so I'm probably avoiding him in the 2nd round. Big Ben is not worth a round 3 pick imo, unless its a 2QB or point-per-completion league. Aim for best available RB/WR in the early rounds unless you find a crazy good value at QB/TE.
