Kappy opted out of the last year of his contract with SF. March 1, 2017, SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- For the first time in his NFL career, quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be a free agent. Kaepernick is planning to opt out of the final season of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The league was notified in a letter sent to all teams by Kaepernick's representation, Select Sports Group. Thursday is the first day Kaepernick can opt out, and he has until the new league year begins March 9 to do it. Kaepernick's contract was originally supposed to keep him with the Niners through 2020, but the team worked with the 29-year-old to revamp it before he reclaimed the starting job in October. As part of the deal's reconfiguration, Kaepernick traded $14.5 million in injury guarantees during the 2017 season for the opportunity to opt out of his deal early and become a free agent. His decision saves the Niners his $14.5 million base salary in 2017 though he will still count nearly $2.5 million in dead money.

Do you still think he will get a shot? Kappy had offers to play in the CFL. Had he really wanted to play he would have taken a 1 year deal and showed his goods on an actual football field. Then came to the NFL ala Warren Moon, Doug Flutie, Jeff Garcia. Joe Theisman, and one more from your era Joe Kapp. Reality is Kappy was not willing to put in the work to return to the league.

Even Squid stopped carrying the Kappy torch!

Kappy flamed out fast. In football terms it was been a decade since he was relevant. HS players now don`t even know who he is as a player. Allen, Mahomes, Jackson, Burrough. Hurts, all were all still in college last time he played.

Kappy just said he is working out every day and is in the best shape of his life.

Are you doing anything in your community to help shut them down? Or just posting on a random message board while drinking your latte at Starbucks? -
Stern just got old and aged out. Stern got too old to do they type of humor that made him popular 30 years ago because he would just sound like an old pervert. So hence the show got stale and boring when he tried to do serious interviews.

Good read. Finally, someone is standing up to these thugs. Would be a good thing for all. I stayed near that area for work last year and everyone around there including locals fear for their safety. -
Sanders probably looked into the future at UC and realized it was never going to be what he thought it would be. Since he is always interesting to listen to, I am sure he will get plenty of offers to sit at a round table and discuss NFL football for much less time and stress.

Democrats America! They trashed LA now moving to Northern vacation towns. -
Every time I watch this it gets more disgusting as to how he was allowed to get away with all this kissing and groping women and children. The first young lady looks mortified. And this is just what was caught on camera. Imagine all the groping that went unseen!

Stern is 72 years old and made his name on HS type of humor and nonsense, at his age he just is not funny or as entertaining anymore.

Wonder if Squistion was there as he likes music?? -
Colbert thought he was "above" it all and got his comeuppance. Colbert trashed his employer on the show that pays him, the employer who pays the shows employees, the employer that provides the platform for him to do his so called "entertainment" show and is it let go? That is not a surprise at all. It would have been more of a surprise if they kept him. What Colbert and Kimmel will start to realize is that starting off an entertainment show that is losing $$$$ night after night with anger and hate filled rhetoric is not good for business. Make one joke or comment and move on..but they can`t.

Schiff, Warren demand to know if CBS is ending Stephen Colbert's 'Late Show' for 'political reasons'
Mike Hunt replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Have you watched those shows since the election? They are really not "late night" entertainment anymore. Colbert and Kimmel are so obsessed with Trump they can`t go even one show without constant Trump talk. By now we all know their dislike of Trump. We get it. At this stage it just gets tiresome and stale because the so-called humor of these hosts has been replaced with pure hate. I never like Colbert that much even before Trump but I used to like and watch Kimmel. Now Trump has taken his whole funny persona away from him and made him bitter to where his monologue has been ruined. Make one joke and move on, but it carries in through their whole shows. TDS is real for them. -

Transgender swimming champion Lia Thomas will be stripped of the swimming titles won at the University of Pennsylvania. The University of Pennsylvania will also offer formal apologies to every biological female competitor who lost to a transgender athlete as a result of an investigation into title IX violations. -

Disagree with some of what was said. Even though he was before my time I like Springsteen's music. Seen a couple interviews with Bruce and he is not the sharpest guy, but come on most rockers are not.
