It is true...but she was sorry after being outed. And she is a Dem so her apology was accepted right away. MSNBC host Joy Reid has issued an apology on Sunday for a series of her blog posts, mostly critical of former Gov. Charlie Crist of Florida. Reid has been criticized as being homophobic and “anti-gay.” “This note is my apology to all who are disappointed by the content of blogs I wrote a decade ago, for which my choice of words and tone have legitimately been criticized,” Reid said in a statement shared with NBC News, which, like MSNBC, is owned by NBCUniversal. -

From 2007 to 2009 Joy Reid authored over a dozen homophobic posts attempting to out Charlie Crist as gay, Reid also attacked & mocked him for being gay. She repeatedly referred to him as "Miss Charlie and Charlene" and tagged multiple posts about him under "gay politicians." -

Talking heads ranging from Jake Tapper to Joy Reid have failed to stop the ratings bleeding at CNN and MSNBC - as did a move from MSNBC that brought back Rachel Maddow to TV sets five times a week, at least for the first 100 days of the new administration. MSNBC lagged to just 45,000 viewers during the day and just 63,000 during the peak hours of night, lowest rating in the channel's history - with the Maddow experiment failing to attract viewers. In terms of percentages, though, the figures were even more alarming; MSNBC essentially lost nearly half of its 25-54 audience since this time last year, continuing a 65 percent slide seen since the election. In primetime, the network's numbers are down 41 percent from 2024. When it came to programming delivered during the day, the percentage dip was the same. Given the timing and recent events surrounding, the new Nielsen numbers appear to show that relationship continuing in spades. -

Shocked they kept that homophobe so long. -
Lik any team everyone has a role. The blacks seem to be better cut out for front line combat duty from experience in the streets. Gunshots won`t scare them.

Kennedy Center Cancels Gay Men’s Chorus LGBTQIA+ Pride Performance
Mike Hunt replied to Patented Phil's topic in The Geek Club
So instead of just blending in, you want to be a separate identity? My cousin is gay, been with her partner for years but never mentions it, or does outlandish acts in public to show she is gay. Told me why should tell anyone just because i am gay? I live my life and if they know me, they eventually find out. -

Why do the gays, trannies and queers feel the need to constantly put labels on themselves? -
No doubt. Dems only chance going forward is to fight for the middle ground.

Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading
Mike Hunt replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Does anyone actually think Russia was ever going to stop? I am not sure what the answer is in Ukraine, but Russia would continue this forever if it took that long. The war would just become a way of life for them., it has already. They do not fear loss of life and will keep sending men into the meat grinder. In a perfect world Ukraine would have pushed them back and Russia calls off invasion. That was never going to happen. -
1500 hours is not much to be in control of a landing in bad weather. Figure around 1200 or more of those hours are on auto pilot at cruising altitude. Sadly her pilot days are over for a major airline.

It is exhibition/All Star hockey in the middle of the NHL season. It was good entertainment, but 4 games are more than enough. If any team loses their star players it is not worth it. Hockey is not like the NBA where the players don`t give a chit and put out no effort.

Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading

Obama rolled over and let Putin annex parts of Ukraine uncontested in 2014. Putin then took advantage of Biden being in office and that is where we are at now. -
The European Union is ready to slash tariffs on U.S. auto imports to the same level charged on its exports in a move that would generate huge sighs of relief from investors. This would be especially timely because manufacturers like Porsche are reviving investment in internal combustion engine vehicles as electric vehicle sales falter. To be cut off from that market would be financially disastrous for the Europeans. A former U.S. ambassador to the EU though expects the Trump Administration to seek huge overall changes to long-term unfair trading including non-tariff barriers. Currently, the U.S. has a 2.5% tariff on Europe’s sedan and SUV imports, while the EU charges U.S. imports at 10%.

Are you surprised at all the wasted funds already been discovered though? This is a bi-partisan issue as it impacts all taxpayers.

Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading
Mike Hunt replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Reality is he had no leverage from the start. Russia was going to grind and grind away until there was nothing left. Other that a few areas Ukraine cities have been leveled and will take decades to rebuild. When a stronger foe has zero concern about loss of their men it is a frightening situation. Russia was never going to stop even if it ruined their own country in the process. As Ukraine stated this war started in 2014 and Obama did nothing about it then. That emboldened Russia. -
Damage it or possibly improve it? So much red tape and wasteful spending. Decade and decades of abusing the system finally being addressed and there will be pushback.
-
Both sides should be shocked at how much waste has already been discovered. Contracts that have ben expired for years that are still being paid. Even you have to happy about finding all of our wasted tax dollars, right? And this is just a start of something that should have happened a long time ago.

Vlad Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays fail to reach agreement on contract extension:
Mike Hunt replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Vladdy will not talk contract during the season...that is unless the Jays give him what he is asking..then they reached a deal. Deadlines don`t mean squat...the are artificial. Let him play it out..his body type is made for a DH.
