Democratic lawmaker arrested for DUI after failing roadside sobriety test as wife slept in backseat
Mike Hunt replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
There is no doubt he was drunk, but sobriety tests are made for failure..sober people fail these tests. After 15 minutes of testing, it is the same. Ok we are going to have you blow in the portable breathalyzer. I know..my mom was sick and I was driving home from the hospital at 1am and got pulled over. Had zero to drink and was put through a sobriety test, I failed standing on one leg trying to touch my nose. The guy made me blow and it came up zero, he let me go. I wanted to say "What about the reason you stopped me for going 10 over??" Cut the BS and just blow the portable and see where we are at. -
I am always concerned. There are up and downs as it has always been. Tariffs won`t last. Recession has been predicted for the last 2 years or more as the economy has been over stimulated since 2021. Time will tell.

Never happen. Tlaib moved to her district because John Conyers ran unopposed forever. Any Dem that wins has a lifetime pass.

Dow Jones under Biden. Shed 8000 in 8- months. Were you worried about the crash then? Dec- 2021-36,338 May-2022- 32,990 September-2022- 28,725 We are nowhere ever close to that kind of drop off. This is mild compared to that crash. I remember people were in total panic then. If you watch the market day in and day out you already know it is a roller coaster.

Been hearing market is due for a "correction" for the last year. I like it better "incorrect"

Squid knows that, he just has trouble admitting it. For whatever Squid is I will admit he is consistent even when wrong.

Dems do not stand for 13-year-old cancer survivor: 'Truly sick people'

What up with this guy? "In February 2023, Brinton was charged with grand larceny for taking Tanzanian designer’s Asya Khamsin’s luggage from Ronald Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Va. It was the third such incident of luggage theft Brinton has been associated with." -
I never said it was. It was from NBCNews.Com site. Do you think James Carville knows the ins and outs of the Dem Party? Do you think his opinion carries any weight? You probably did until now.

And quotes from James Carville! Squid needs more proof!

It is Friday during Lent, Squid`s favorite seafood is the "Red Herring"
-
First couple paragraphs were enough to make it a fast read. The rest of the article gets worse for Biden.
-
So NBC News.com site is not NBC??
-
Yep, one of the opinions is from veteran Democratic Strategist Jame Carville.

That too. Need to hire people who want to do it. Or make it easier and just give the perps a heavy dose of Fentanyl -
“A sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance,” Mr. Fetterman posted on X Wednesday, sharing a screenshot of a Politico headline suggesting the vocal protests in the House chamber fell flat. “We make Trump look more presidential and restrained.” The former Braddock mayor and Pennsylvania lieutenant governor warned that Democrats were “becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to — and it is not the winning message.” His critique of his own party Wednesday mirrored Mr. Fetterman’s comments to the “Somebody’s Gotta Win” podcast last month. Consistently bashing conservatives, he said, had helped Democrats lose the elections in critical states like Pennsylvania. “I think their primary currency was shaming and scolding and talking down to people and telling them, ‘Hey, I know better than you,’ or ‘You’re dopes,’ or ‘You’re a bro,’ or ‘You’re ignorant,’ or ‘How can you be this dumb?’” he said. “And then, ‘by the way, they’re fascists. How can you vote for that?’” The senator added that he knew many and loved Pennsylvanians who voted for Trump, and that “they’re not fascist.” “They don’t support insurrection and those things,” he said. “And if you go to an extreme, and you become a boutique kind of proposition, then you’re going to lose the argument. And the Democrats have done that.”

Canadians are 'fed up,' says Alberta lawyer leading delegation to Washington for statehood talks

France can take over Montreal and Quebec. In 1995 Quebec held a referendum on sovereignty that was rejected 50.6% to 49.9%. That would flip today easily today. -

Just hire a couple of "Gang Bangers" from LA. They would look the perp straight in the eye and pop 5-6 caps into him with no remorse. -

I thought the signs were some AI generated meme when I saw them the next day on the news. Hard to believe elected members of congress would act like HS children bringing signs and flashing them. -
CA Governor Ordered Everyone RTO 4 Days a Week

Last year we had to return to office and was pissed. I was in the best shape of my life hitting the gym almost every day and it totally screwed up my workout schedule and golf game. Got a little too spoiled. Still have Fridays at the gym office though. -

LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

MSM: Applications for U.S. jobless benefits fell again last week for the second straight month as the labor market remains sturdy even with the purge of federal government employees. The number of Americans filing for jobless benefits fell by 21,000 to 221,000 for the week ending March 1, the Labor Department said Thursday. That's significantly fewer than the analysts expected. Weekly applications for jobless benefits are considered a proxy for layoffs, which have remained mostly in a range between 200,000 and 250,000 for years. -

Well, it is possible for a man to act and think he is a woman, or want to be a women, but he will always genetically a man. And vice versa. -

Disgraceful. At least show some respect for the child that was so happy to be there. They keep showing who they are. Believe them! Then they don`t applaud at all for the no tax on Social Security on seniors. I know you were happy about that, getting some extra cash every month. Dems don`t applaud for seniors getting a break, don`t applaud for women getting a break. Miserable... -
