Articles and rankings much more valuable 2) Geek Club horribly addictive. A chance to hang and be in the room where different backgrounds, social circles, contexts join together in increasingly vitriolic volleys of humor, human observations, and hatred. Back in the day, things where I learned breaking news before it broke; saw salacious smut; learned emerging memes; and occasionally became informed by a different perspective or esoteric fact. I keep coming back assuming I will get that hit … sadly, the proliferation of aliases and petty Board battles dilute and camouflage what I value most about the Geek Club. But it’s still here … and so am I.
