Whether the footage had been seen previously or not, it confirms that there were criminal actions by the protestors on the Capitol Grounds that day. The actions were intended to try to circumvent the process of democracy. That’s troubling and should be repudiated. It is deeply concerning to see people not only NOT repudiating the actions, but suggesting that the actions are acceptable. That suggests it would be OK for people to do again in the future. Whatever side you are on, we should be able to agree that violent invasion intended to prevent the functioning of government should not be allowed. I also was troubled by the clearly political motives of the investigation and how information was presented - particularly the closing prerecorded edited videos about how people felt summoned by Trump. That was not what I expect from fair due process.
