It was all about the political games, and one of Hunter’s kids for some reason. So while I don’t agree that the “MSM” in general is missing details, I agree with you that the NBC Nightly News coverage was terrible tonight.

Uh, it’s only a 2 week delay; not the end of the world. The judge didn’t like the plea. So lawyers from both parties revised it. Then they presented it to her with the changes she asked for: Maybe if she did something other than patent cases for her career, she might know how the constitution works in a criminal case. So it’s delayed for two weeks while she asks around the office to see if any other judges know anything about the constitution. (PS - obviously just kidding about this - taking time to make sure you get things right when changing a plea deal makes sense) Footnote: remember all the hullabaloo yesterday about the GOP committee’s amicus brief? Much ado about nothing.

That line you quoted is pure editorializing by the Post… Of course it’s unclear because the ruling hasn’t been made yet. And the opinion of Republicans is inconsequential to her ruling decision. Funny how there were no leaks about this upcoming finalization of a plea deal until the GOP House committee made a filing… and then their emails were leaked to Rupert Murdoch’s NY Post. But that’s just editorializing by me!

Seems like Hunter’s lawyers wanted a chance to review/redact the documents to protect their client’s privacy. And the clerk misunderstood who was calling. In the end, the GOP committee only has to wait a day. Much ado about nothing.

You invoked Trump. Then when called out for that, you accused others of being biased against Trump even though YOU are the one who brought him up! Forget about T-pump and focus on this investigation. Enough with the orange man and the deflections and accusing others of being biased. It seems like you’re incapable of discussing this investigation on its merits. And I get it. The evidence does not support the premise that Joe Biden took any bribes. So you have to deflect.

IMO, the most consistent thing I see with these incidents is the lack of accountability for officers. The defenders of the police love to say “it’s just a few bad apples.” But then they refuse to remove the bad apples, and slowly watch the entire bushel get spoiled. It takes a lawsuit, or a viral video, or somebody high profile dying, etc... before an officer is even considered to be culpable. And in many cases, they will pay out millions of taxpayer dollars in lawsuit settlements before getting rid of one bad cop. I’m all for union protections of workers. But it really goes too far with police. And then even if they DO get fired for violence, they often get rehired in the same town, or hired in another jurisdiction that either didn’t do a background check, or simply didn’t care about their violent history. LOL Kushner inherited a billion-dollar property from his ex-felon dad (pardoned by Trump!!!!) and promptly lost most of its value. He’s only experienced in losing massive amount of money. Again, I don’t see the point of investigating Kushner at this point in time. Yeah, it’s sketchy, but it could have been some deal his criminal dad had with the Saudis just as easily as it was his father-in-law’s political connections. Either way, the Saudis want a hold over Kushner, and they’ve got it. Hopefully nobody in the Trump family ever gets into political office again, and the Saudis just watch Kushner fritter away their money like he does with every other investment he touches.

That’s an intentionally misleading storyline cooked up by the GOP. Shokin (who was sacked by Ukraine) was well-known for NOT investigating corruption. He was where investigations went to die. So by firing him, it actually became more likely (not less likely) that Burisma would be investigated. It’s funny to me that you think that silliness of 10% for the big guy shows bribery. Again, that deal never even went through, so 10% of $0 is $0. If that’s the strongest evidence the GOP can muster, they are truly wasting everybody’s time. Bribery charges require actual money exchanged... AND actions in return for the money. If you don’t even have money, then what are you even alleging? I still haven’t seen what Joe was supposedly bribed into doing. That’s completely absent from the investigation. I guess they will make that up later.
