Or even a random guy from a ff message board? She may be crazy but she's fire. -
That’s my point. If the fire chief is admitting today it made any difference, then the questions should be asked. Again, fire tends to grow exponentially. Small differences early on make big problems in short order. It’s an exercise they’ll need to do and find answers once things are contained. It’s just typically when someone admits there’s a problem on the first question, it likely runs a little deeper than that.
-
Fair point on number 1, but on the second point the way fire spreads, minimum impact on day 1 is exponential benefit down the line. How many more flare ups or even large fires started from what could have been extinguished from that minimal help? Obviously we will never know but that seems an odd defense for someone. It's kind of admitting that "we were wrong, but it really wasn't all that bad". It's probably worse than someone who is wrong is admitting. Now, it's fair to mitigate it and say it wouldn't have totally fixed the issue but there is some truth to both sides here it appears. In addition, it goes without saying that to whoever lost their homes and lives may be in shambles in that minimal impact, they'd have preferred their leaders take appropriate action.

Damn man, I'm sorry. For all our differences and the bs and kidding I engage in definitely thinking of all the folks out there tonight. -

Buddy of mine who has a home in Pasadena but has moved to Boise said they evacuated his old neighborhood last night. He has kept his house there and has been staying in touch with the neighbors. As of now their neighborhood hasn’t lost anything. Terrible situation, just unimaginable. -
Seitzer is a friendlier guy than Brett or Bo. Even as an AU guy who knows Bo’s college roommate and his family. Of course it’s hard to imagine what Bo was at his height. The guy still can’t go anywhere without being recognized.
-
Seitzer was the craze back in '88 for cards etc. I saw a couple games at Royals Stadium back in '87. Went there to see Bo Jackson. Well, just before I got there he broke his collarbone. Either way, got to see Seitzer, picked up a couple of yearbooks I have to this day from them. Saw Bill Ripken hit his first big league HR in one game and Phil Nikero get one of his 318 wins in the other. Royals lost both. Also learned that upper deck is steep as a damn cliffside.

Thanks for posting this. I had similar thoughts but just on my phone so hard for me to type that out. The models of states like Florida and Texas and what their infrastructure with lower taxes should be the envy of everyone.

It shortened the lines maybe a bit for me. Ours is always overflowing in the drive thru and sometimes hard to find a seat inside. Chick Fil A is hurting so badly that they can develop property for a new site, and then sell that property back to investors with a lease cap rate of what amounts to the rate of a government bond. So they are essentially making money by simply opening a store and branding it, then doing a leaseback.

We have to have liability by state law. I had an 8 year old Camry at that time. It wasn't worth comprehensive coverage and I had decided if I'm at fault I'll pay for my own situation but the lady who ran the light in her Avalanche had the same insurance company I did. They were only too happy to claim they couldn't determine for sure what happened so it was "no fault" and they therefore didn't have to pay me. The photos of my passenger side door caved in from the T-boning wasn't enough apparently.

Let's not break out the brown paper bags too soon, he won on round one. -
Insurance companies are all pretty much the drizzling craps right off the bat. If you ever want to have a major life regret, let one of their financial people get your contact information if they think you have money to invest. They have all sorts of horrid products they want to sell you. I made the mistake of doing a favor for a friend who had a relative who needed what he thought was a call as an intern, just to help him out. I was just going to spend a few minutes with him, listening to him, give feedback, etc. Turns out the guy was already hired, his boss was on the call, and that good deed has led to about a year's worth of harassment from them wanting me to meet, get on calls with them, etc. I'd boycott the whole industry if I could. I had them deem an auto accident "no fault" when a woman ran a red light and totaled an old car of mine. Lost my car in the process. Got enough from the scrap yard to pay the tow and storage until they released the car is about it.

Free speech is fine, if you're an American. But we can choose who we bring here, if anyone in that crowd isn't an American then they should go. Those type sentiments are dangerous and we should be more selective about who we allow inside our borders. -

I'm kind of tired of not wanting to hurt people's feelings when they support and in some cases conspire with people who want to kill innocent Americans. If they want to meet God sooner, I'm all for helping them. Maybe we could both get what we want. At the very least, we should send them on a one way flight to live with those wonderful folks they support. -

That false start saved Texas. They were prepared for that blitz on 4th down. Great protection.

We have VC money getting involved in college football due to NIL ending the cash cow margins football was providing. Yet we have part time weekend warrior officials who are going to be selling a car policy on Monday morning deciding these games. Officiating all year has been inconsistent at best.
