Yep. The lady he killed was stabbed and beaten to death. He was given a merciful way to go comparatively. For any of you who have had the displeasure of driving by/through Atmore, another comparable punishment would have been to release him into that area without the ability to leave. Although I guess he could have passed his time in the Indian video casino.

When it comes to asset splits I'd say it has to do with level of wealth as well as age. If you're 45 or 50, and your net worth is under $1MM you want to be more aggressive than someone who might be at $5MM. That person with the larger net worth has already won the game, it's about making sure you don't blow it before the clock runs out by taking unnecessary risks. You can take the lower returns and never worry about living a very affluent lifestyle.

Adam FaSchiff wants to save democracy by destroying the republic

We need to have a national conversation about the radicalization of LGBTQ youth.
Mark Davis replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
Damn, whatever happened to people who were just gay? We aren't doing anyone any favors by pandering to these fantasies that men are somehow women and vice versa, and that genetics and chromosomes somehow aren't the determining factor. -

Maine’s top election official removes Trump from 2024 primary ballot
Mark Davis replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
So was MLB right then or right now? It can't be both. This reminds me of the fans who are so invested in their teams they insist they have the better team even though they lost a game 35-7. The numbers show what happened, yet it's like the data doesn't exist to some. We have the same voter ID laws here, there is no danger of a D winning statewide here barring someone being a pedophile essentially. It doesn't bother me to show my license and is a very simple process. -
Maine’s top election official removes Trump from 2024 primary ballot
Mark Davis replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
Even Rob Manfred and MLB have backed up on the GA stance because the numbers were irrefutable. They can't come out and flatly say they were wrong, but have done it through their actions of placing the MLB All Star Game right back in Atlanta. Nothing has changed other than the turnout numbers show that initial stance was incorrect. -

I knew I'd heard that democracy was going to be on the ballot this election. -
It's like the neighborhood bullies with their tactics and violence. Maybe it's naive but I think 20 years ago they might have gotten a little more resistance to these aggressions. It's sickening.

I've worked there quite a bit. And it's very true California as a whole has great looking women, especially if you like Asian women, and I'm a fan. But to me saying she's a 2 or 3 means if you pull 10 random women her age off the street there she's only hotter than 1-2. That's not close to being true even in CA. I've spent most every fall weekend my whole life on SEC campuses including my college years so I feel I've got a pretty good gauge of what hot is and isn't. Her mouth and personality are detractors, but if we are basing it on looks unless you just have a thing where brunettes aren't your thing, she's pretty good for a woman over 35. She's not perfect, but she's definitely in the top quartile.

She really should have just stuck with being a Sugar Baby. She's still hot but she needs to not talk.

Agreed and not surprising they had video rolling. It's all about playing the victim card for their Marxist views to show how they are the oppressed. We've given in to this mental illness for too long. The sky is blue not green, up isn't down, just because you dilute yourself mentally into an idea doesn't make it true. This guy handled it perfectly though. I doubt I'd have been so calm in that spot but he was great in the moment.

An easy $1 million or not so easy $25 million or $500 million ....

I think it would be possible to net 5 yards on 10 carries if you had a competent line by running inside. The chances of injury are high and you are pretty much guaranteed to fumble 2-3 times out of 10. Although the way stats count, even if you fumble after a 2 yard run you keep the 2 yards. Needless to say a lot depends on the matchups. If you are running behind the 49ers O-Line vs the Falcons or Panthers, you have a much better chance than running behind the Panthers line against the Browns or 49ers. Forget any YAC, it isn't happening. Most of this is about the line matchups and getting to the hole fast enough to get whatever the line earns for you. Nobody here is gaining one inch more. -
Seen the words "insurrection" and "coup" about the "January 6" thing often on this site.

Watching the two parties try and navigate this election is like watching Wile E Coyote use his latest contraption from the ACME Company. They have this perfect trap and it blows up in their face. Trump was never going to win Colorado in the general, their primary is not going to be relevant, and this is stirring up his base like taking a broom handle and rattling it inside a hornet's nest. The Republicans managed to get the Democratic base stirred up this way over the abortion issue and now the D's are being kind enough to hand that gift back. For all the talk of dictators, we now have exactly one party removing the names of their political opponents from the ballot. -
Biden should deal with the border issue, but he’ll win anyhow.
Mark Davis replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Well, individually I tend to agree. An ideology that's cancerous on society, I think a good hatred of it is healthy and needed. -

Mark Davis replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I think the political talking points confuse some on the left with what others think. I'd gladly trade one for one people we could safely screen crossing that border for every white Marxist who is a Hamas sympathizer we could deport to Gaza. It's about security and nothing to do with hate. There are people I hate, but they are Marxists. I don't really care about their color. -
Confederate Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery to be removed
Mark Davis replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
I like how they want to "reframe" American history into these Marxist and oppressed vs oppressor views. It's a cancer to our country and we are starting to see the larger effects of these Marxist ideologies with these college campus issues today. If not for the West, the history of the world would be much, much worse. These people are just useful idiots to those who want to forward their Marxist world view. -
99% of Americans will be financially worse-off than they were pre-pandemic by mid-2024, JPMorgan says
Mark Davis replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
That inflation monster is hard to outrun. The only people really doing better are people making so much that their net worth appreciated so much over those 4 years that the net present value of future inflated expenses are less than that wealth accumulation. It's a hard one to pull off and really is just very well to do folks and generally older because of fewer years of expenses down the road. -
I'm fine with it, but if the standard applies for everyone. I don't give a damn what they do but it's the left and this crazy victimhood mentality that thinks it's ok for the oppressed to do it but those who are the evil oppressors in their view don't dare do anything of the like.

Mark Davis replied to Stryker Ryker's topic in The Geek Club
We don't even need China to take us down, we are doing it to ourselves. If their economy wasn't doomed to failure due to communism, we would be down sooner. Instead we are just going to watch Western culture rot due to hatred from within from not stopping these Marxist ideologies. -

Until a few days ago I'd have 100% agreed with the sarcasm. Now, I wouldn't hire one to wash my car. I'm far from the only one and it's a shame because I know there are bright students there who don't agree with what is occurring. But it appears there's at least enough to create a critical mass that this kind of hatred, intimidation, and violence is acceptable. -

Then you have Charlottesville and it's played as an existential threat to the homeland. I've seen way more violence in just a handful of clips, a ton of property damage, all way more than occurred in Charlottesville. It's only acceptable apparently if you are violent or preach violence and hatred toward certain races. All can be wrong, but I think the ones that are pervasive and happening repeatedly in multiple locations with many more participants are a bigger concern.
