Do liberals still think that covid didn't come from the Wuhan lab that Fauci was funding?
Mark Davis replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
I didn't lose my business, but had I not been well established and had a healthy balance sheet going into it I would have. We went from being very profitable to losing money that year. The worst part for us was our capital was tied up in a frozen supply chain with no way to even liquidate it to access cash. Again, very fortunate we still had the cash on hand as a business, and personally, to withstand it. When I do my personal financials every year I always think of "what if" we had just had a normal 2020. -
I don't think it would solve the problem, no. The problem is we've turned a blind eye to some radical Marxist type teachings in this country. As a result, we now have a generation who in significant numbers believe in these type ideologies. They haven't lived and seen the atrocities those type regimes and societies can create. It's gone beyond just a few ideological kids on college campuses.

We have representatives of 5-6 congressional districts in this country who are at the very least winking and hedging here. To say that it's a minor population isn't the case. If these folks win re-election, and I'd guess most if not all will, a majority of people in those districts would at least have to tacitly accept or support these views. It's a dangerous place to be in as a country. We may view them as fringe, but they are members of congress. David Duke in the early 90s was defeated, these people have not been.

I'm sure they just mean the Palestinians and not Hamas. Maybe the guy on the glider is just vacationing in Big Sur. Not at all a Hamas terrorist.

This is just my favorite the sky is blue moment of the day

I don't believe the Egyptians want it now. They've sealed that border pretty firmly from my understanding. I think they've seen enough of their "brothers".

You can't even have a civil discussion, so I doubt you can stomach much. It's pretty clear there are going to be some heinous things in these videos, if that bothers you, please don't watch. But to go on a profanity laced childish fit because people want to see the truth about what is happening to the victims is not a normal response.
-
And that's fine. I have no issue with that. I wouldn't let my middle school daughter watch them. But we shouldn't hide from the truth either. When groups do these types of things we should witness them, as uncomfortable as it may be to know how strong our stance against them should be.
-
You spew some strong language for someone who can't stomach the reality of what's happening in the world. Maybe you should consider these atrocities you don't want to witness when you defend politicians who give quarter to these type of groups. I would hope you could have some self reflection here and see that. My expectation is more childish language which is absolute nonsense.
-
If the videos disturb you, don't watch. I assume you are an adult and can make your own decisions. This is the reality on the ground over there, people should see what is occurring.

I'm of the belief it's no accident this comes before Israel and the Saudis can come to an agreement. Iran and SA in general hate one another, in the past they just had a common enemy in Israel. It seems as getting an Iranian proxy to attack Israel, forcing Israeli strikes into Gaza, makes it now impossible for the Saudis to continue. What does Hamas get from this? Further Iranian funding and support. It also keeps the chaos going that keeps them relevant and in power. Their whole reason for existing is the hatred of Israel in Gaza. The scenes from the streets of Gaza shows enough of what people there believe and want. They are showing us their true colors, we should believe them.
-
He shouldn't worry much. Maybe the terrorists these folks have helped prop up will kill their families last due to their allegiance. It's astounding to think you can negotiate with barbarians who don't have the same morality.
-
The only real solution is for the people of Gaza to take Hamas from power. Then have leadership that actually wants peace and prosperity. Until then Israel will be struck and forced to retaliate. Death on both sides, hate in Gaza, a repeating cycle. Short of Israel going in and killing everyone there, that is the only solution. Although I have no hope at all that will happen.
-
It won't solve it. But to do anything else only encourages more Hamas attacks and shows weakness. At the very least, it imposes death and destruction on the Hamas/Gaza side rather than Israel's side until Hamas regroups. If they sit back, attacks continue on Israel. It's an imperfect solution to what has been an unsolvable problem. The Israelis don't really have any one party to negotiate a peace with. It leaves them with the impossible task of trying to completely eradicate Hamas. Hamas will then use the retribution to recruit and poison young minds. It's a never ending cycle.

We did such a good job accounting for domestic spending of Covid funds I have no doubt we will be able to control what the Iranians will do with funds once released to them.
-
That was my assumption about the whole scenario.

This is why I'm not a Republican either. These guys can F up a one car train. Biden's numbers are below that of terminal cancer and they will find a way to blow the election.

RIP. It's like I warned the D's when they gloated about Jeff Sessions losing his primary, if you liked Sessions wait for Tommy Tuberville. Probably whoever comes out of CA next will make us long for Feinstein. But no doubt we need age/term limits as others have said.

How bad of a nut job must this guy be that NK is saying "No thanks, time for you to go"? I mean they hold everyone.

Philadelphia - Large Crowds of people have started a riot and loot multiple stores
Mark Davis replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
I'll give you credit for slipping the adjective of violent in there. Because it's getting hard to refute the turning the other cheek to property crimes isn't working out. -

God I hope they don’t saddle these folks with cash bail -
It’s the same mentality of letting people get away with property crimes and being shocked about the result. It’s someone else’s fault rather than taking responsibility for the results those policies created. If we just enforced our border then this would go away. Eric Adams even knows this

Supreme Court once again rejects Alabama’s attempt to restrict black voting
Mark Davis replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
It may well be diluted, no more so than Republican votes are diluted in Democrat controlled and gerrymandered states. The race baiting part though is the only way to get the court to step in. Hey, the left won this one. But there should be no question as to why things get viewed through a racial lens when that is the wedge used. -
Supreme Court once again rejects Alabama’s attempt to restrict black voting
Mark Davis replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
This has to do with gerrymandering for Republican seats just like any other state does with its dominant party. If those voters tended to vote R, nobody in Alabama would care. This has nothing to do with race anymore than the fact that seat is going to flip D. -
How can there be a “two-tiered system of justice” when Senator Menedez is indicted with taking bribes?
Mark Davis replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Menendez pissed someone off. He's not exactly been under the radar about being dirty in the past. Suddenly they have the goods.
