What do people think is going to happen with Chuba and Dowdle? Chuba looked awesome this week, maybe he’s finally fully healthy. Could be an annoying committee but I feel Canales and Co have been DESPERATE for Chuba to win this job back. Could be his now. I have both and locked up playoffs last week - it’s annoying they’re on bye next week as we can’t get any more evidence on what the split will be. Although they play the Saints so it may not matter! Probably gonna roll with Chuba week 15. What do others reckon?

That Green Bay performance was awesome too. Three great games for Rico. The main thing for me is just the contract situation. They signed Chuba to a huge extension and Rico to a one year deal. I just think they badly want for Chuba to be ‘the guy’ that they could use week 13 as an excuse to make him the starter again. I do think it’ll be pretty close to 50/50. But Chuba will get more high value touches. Just my two cents.

Oh for sure a risk. It seems though that Dowdle showed his displeasure at his lack of usage week 12 against the 49ers, then in week 13 they were splitting time right out of the gate. Chuba was starting drives and he was way more productive. With a bye it could mean a shift back to Chuba, who’s getting healthier and has way less tread on the tires. I’d guess in a good matchup they could both do well. In a tougher one, give me the guy that’s in on all third downs though, and that’s Chuba.

There’s some argument to that, but that aside I’m probably starting Darnold in what could be a shootout. Highest projected point total, best matchup, best WR. And I don’t think Seattle will be able to run effectively.

Man I hope so. He’s in my IR slot right now. Harbaugh has said he won’t return until after the bye and he has done some work off at the side but not been designated to return yet. Key will be whether he returns for first practice post bye.

Rough night for the stack. If you’re going to go for the trade I might see if I can get Rice instead of Jefferson, especially if you’re expecting the loss this week anyway as he’s on bye. Jefferson’s schedule might get better but McCarthy has still only made three starts in his career and is yet to throw for over 160 yards in a game.

Need a replacement for Dak. 14-team league and a few teams are hoarding QBs so waiver wire is slim pickings. Who do you prefer? My opponent has Lions D though, which would make any turnovers effectively a four-point swing - does that factor into your decision?

If Benson returns he’s the starter and gets the lion’s share of the carries. Demercado will be in on third downs and Bam is virtually a non factor.

If it helps, when Dak is on bye, Dart gets the Bears (good matchup) and Fields gets the Browns (brutal matchup - if he even is still the starter).

Unless you can start two QBs I wouldn’t bother with a backup and just roll with Dak. If you really want insurance I’d probably roll with Dart because I’d fear Fields could lose the job if things carry on the way they are much longer.

I think the opportunity to shop Dowdle for anything meaningful has passed now, unless he has another big week this week and someone is convinced he’s now taken on the No1 role.

Hubbard was still a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday so my guess is they ease him back in somewhat. Dowdle has definitely earned a bigger slice of the pie. I know it was Miami and Dallas but how many RBs get 230+ yards from scrimmage in back to back weeks even in easy matchups? I have both and I’m rolling with Dowdle this week because I think he’ll start and Hubbard will maybe come in more on pass-catching downs. Going forward though it could be a little messy and I could see them rotating series unless one of them really sets himself apart.

I wouldn’t be too scared of the Chargers D. They just gave up a lot of rushing production to Jaxson Dart on his debut so if Daniels is healthy enough to run he should be fine.

If you want to read anything into this quote from Michael Carter yesterday… “It’s been a lot. … You go from Pat Tillman (Scout Player of the Week) one week to starting the next.”

As an Arizona fan I’d expect Carter in early downs and Demercado on passing downs but agree that if one gets a hot hand they could run with it. I’m leaning Carter in a good matchup where the Cards RBs should have a lot of carries.

Pick up Marks, he might have just won that job.
