I agree with you about Trump’s narcissism and ego. That has always been a concern of mine and still is. But I think you are wrong about him adopting Republican beliefs just to gain the Presidency. He’s bounced around parties for decades because he doesn’t really fit into any one box. I think it’s his most remarkable accomplishment that he has so fundamentally changed the Republican platform, notably in the areas of trade, tariffs, foreign policy…. Heck, he’s even cultivated the Unions. Trump is a lot of things, but he’s not a carpetbagger.

This is probably the most underreported and understated problem in America today. My brother, who is suffering from stage four cancer, was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room on a Saturday afternoon three weeks ago in excruciating pain. How long do you think he waited in the emergency room before being seen? Once again, his pain was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. An hour? 2 hours? 4 hours? Try…. 30 hours. Yup. Meanwhile every non tax-paying dreg in the city was seen ahead of him. It’s a huge problem and no one is talking about it.

Just curious - is wearing a cross a purely Catholic thing? Do certain denominations view it negatively?

The 14th Amendment doesn’t say that all persons born in the U.S. are citizens. It says that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof” are citizens. The Supreme Court has never clarified exactly what they consider the bolded to mean. What we do know is that children born in the US to foreign citizens are always subject to the jurisdiction of the their parents' foreign country (ie - they are citizens of that country). We know for sure that the bolded exempts children born to foreign diplomats. They can't be citizens because they are immune to US laws. It's a gray area as to whether children born to illegal aliens or tourists were meant to be granted citizenship. The State Department, through Executive fiat, has ruled on it, and as we know they grant American passports to such children. But th Supreme Court is ultimate arbiter of this question and they have never officially ruled on it. Hopefully they will shortly, so we can finally get clarity on the issue.
