Do you care to comment on the fact that only 8,450 people were arrested crossing the border last month? It’s the lowest level since 2000, and perhaps even the 1960’s. Trump shut the border down air-tight - something Biden insisted was impossible for the Executive to do.

I’m fine with everything he is doing. Shame on us for not doing anything about the ridiculous trade imbalance all these years. The trade-off is that we’ll have more goods manufactured in the country, and that’s a good thing from a jobs and national security standpoint. The downside is we may face higher prices on imported goods. That’s one trade I’m willing to make.

All that Cold War nonsense (Berlin, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan) was to force imperialist Russia to respect the boundaries negotiated by the big three. Because at that point in time that was in our vital national interest, or at least we thought so (the Domino Theory, which seemed reasonable at the time). Here’s the important thing - we entered into all those conflicts because our Western European allies couldn’t handle it at the time by themselves. It’s a new day, buckaroo. We are almost 100 years removed from the World Wars. It’s no longer a bipolar balance of power. Europe is no longer incapable of defending itself. The USA no longer has a postwar dividend to play with. We're in debt up to our eyeballs and we can’t afford to keep paying for everyone else’s defense. Trump knows this. The smartest scholars in political science have been saying this for about 20 years now. It is you and your warmongering party that are living in the past. America First. It’s not that hard to understand. It’s also moral. There is nothing more sacrosanct than tending to your own people first.

I worked with a woman who ran track competitively in high school in the 1980’s. She had set several school and conference records and a few of them were still standing. Over 30 years later she was still monitoring the status of her records. That’s how much her achievements meant to her.
