He built a wall as a symbol of just how serious he was. Put a ban on Muslims. We already know how effective walls are (they aren't), and the rest was window dressing. I'd bet my 401k that there are illegal workers all over Trump's businesses.

I would suggest Trump policy had less to do with it than other obvious stuff happening in the world. I would also tell you that any numbers you see on immigration are as manipulated as those with Covid.

I imagine I'd be easy to nail down over at FBG. Only so many people left in the world that aren't up to their eyeballs in partisan crap.

That is the problem... its been a decade or more (definitely more) since I spent time here. Don't remember. I'd imagine something Barry Sanders related, but I can't recall. Most of my message board handles from my 20's were. Although my FBG handle isn't barry related.. so I dunno. Stopped coming here for reasons I don't remember.. I think the other place was just bigger and more engaging. It appears some old ass email too...

In a sense, yes... the world is less locked down. There are definitely more people coming across today than the last two years. I would doubt it is much different than pre pandemic. It has been demonstrated, righ in front of your eyes for decades - it is an EASY fix. Neither side wants it fixed.The most hilarious example of this was in the late 90's with the conservative governor/politicians in Nebraska.

Oh stop. Immigration is a subject I am personally very, very familiar with. It is having no bigger or smaller impact on your life now than anytime before... not in any noticeable regard. And are you under the impression the right has done or would do anything about it? If so you have been duped.

Is your life ending because of open borders (or name your single issue gripe)? Did the left's world crumble when Trump built a wall... does anyone see a difference? Nope. I've let that hook out of my mouth - I actually thank Trump years for that. Identitiy politics are something I have no interest in partaking in.

This sounds remarkably identical to the left's talk track with Trump. When you realize these politicians are all the same, you get to remove yourself from this trap game they have you playing. You could literally copy and paste what each side whines about each round.
