You have zero clue on anything especially the law. Grosskreutz had no actual knowledge of what happened earlier. He was following the mob which wrongly believed Rittenhouse was a murderer. The mob was the aggressor/chaser. Vigilantism is not legal and does not justify chasing someone down and assaulting them. Now if Rittenhouse was an actual active shooter and was in the process of shooting someone, then the mob would be justified with using deadly force to stop him. But as it was, Rittenhouse was a kid with a gun running from an angry mob and they were making wrong assumptions. They had zero actual knowledge that Rittenhouse was an active shooter, so they have no legal protection. At a minimum, Grosskreutz was guilty of assault with a deadly weapon. If they could prove intent to kill, it would bump up to attempted murder. And unlike Rittenhouse, whose weapon was legally carried, Grosskrutz prior convictions prohibited him from owning and carrying a weapon.
