John "Looking like a cougar" Mellencamp - Gets mad he is asked to not talk politics during concert
jonmx replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I have seen him several times. He is the local celebrity. His second wife (he left her for Meg Ryan) was absolutely stunning and a very nicr well-grounded person. The two boys he had with her were total thugs. They would get kicked out of every school and still continue to have trouble with the law. Zero discipline. One was in the same class as my daughter for a couple of years Mellencamp despised religion and of course a far-left leftist loon, which now consumes him. -

Reality is what ever the government media tells them. He is the biggest brainwashed buffoon there is. At least Tim gets off the plantation once in a blue moon, squisy never. -
I can speak and read the language and do not need an interpreter. I seriously have zero clue why you think this is so difficult. Ohtani has to completely rely on this guy to do many simple tasks.
-
Do you not know these two were best friends who hung out a lot? He was often in Ohtanis house. How would Ontani set up online access to his bank accounts to American banks whose websites were in English with maybe Hispanic options.....He would ask his good trusted friend, the interpreter to help.. This is not f-ing rocket science. Someone with that much assess to Ohtani who relied on him for so much help, could easily have gotten access.
-
JFC...ohtani did not gamble. He did not throw his friend under the bus. You are all focking crazy if you think Ohtani gambled or even knew about it. The interpreted has been telling massive lies for years.
-
There have been several national stories suggesting everything is too suspicious and lots of memes with a Pete Rose theme that are clearly suggesting he absolutely gambled. Lots of stories and posts suggesting he should be banned from baseball.
-
One of the most negative aspects of social media is how it amplifies the mob mentality and brings out the very worst in people. Shohei Ohtani is an extremely dedicated man who is focused 24/7 on being the very best baseball player ever. Shohei is far and away the best two-way player baseball has ever seen. Shohei is also incredibly honest and good, but naive man with a child-like love for the game. Shohei has zero interest in gambling. We know 100 percent the interpreter is the gambler and is a very slick con man who got in debt way way over his head and who took advantage of a man who can not speak the language. There is nothing to suggest otherwise, But yet negative media stories along witb ugly memes often with bigotted themes are flourishing over the internet Instead of society building up the very best the world has to offer, the mob wants to tear it down. We have a society who loves to rush out and throw stones to destroy way more than knowing the truth. The truth will continue to come out, and it will prove beyond any doubt that Shohei was the victim, but the damage will forever leave a deep scare.

Damn, that is horrific. Thankfully it was not packed with hundreds of cars. Prayers to those families who were impacted. -
The history of the US overthrowing the queen who ruled Hawaii and replacing her with a corporate tyrant Dole is not one of our brightest days in history. But we get a lot of sugar, pineapples and bananas because of it.

Trump's bond gets lowered by nearly $300 million. - Latitia's head explodes

No, $3 billion increase from a stock merger of his social media company wit another. The $3 billion is the concrete increase in the value of his stock price. -

Unfortunately it is based on many years of insight into the waste and corruption. We created a monster in these federal bureaucracies which are compassionless, have far too little oversight, and promote people who are hungry for expanding their authority. I have seen far too much of it. -

You must have missed the story where Trump's net worth just went up over $3 Billion. Just because he does not have immediate access to it means that he is poor. It sucks leftist bootlickers are so fuking dumb. -

He was not only his interpreter, he was his closest friend who spent time at his house. He could have saw where his passwords were stored or maybe even helped him set up his accounts. The guy was extremely sharp and very slick. I feel really bad for Shohei to have been stabbed in the back so badly, and I hope it does not impact him too much. You already know I am right about a lot of stuff based on hindsight. I really wish the things I say about institutions I once trusted weren't true. I may make judgements quickly, but they are sound and not based on bias. I once thought our foreign policies were based on spreading freedom and Democracy, but an honest look at our history has revealed dozens of coups to overthrow popular leaders only to be replaced by US puppet dictators who would do the bidding for US corporate and military interests, and this includes what is going on today in the Ukraine along with over 70 years worth of other atrocities. We have a legal system which favors the rights of government regulation over the rights of the people. We have a medical establishment which is more concerned about promoting and protecting big Pharma over the lives of citizens. We have food regulators who favor the interests of big farms and food corporations over the rights of the small farmer. It is really sad that our big government agencies are far more concerned about their self-interests and expanding their power than they are with doing what is right and have forgotten what this country stands for. -
Everyone with knowledge of the events backs up Ohtani's account, and it was the interpreter who was responsible for telling the agent the first story. Ohtani has told one and only one story and has never changed it. Everyone jumping on Ohtani-trashing bandwagon look like fools. Yes the interpreter used Ohtani's account to cover his own gambling debts.

He is either the most disingenuous poster or the dumbest. ...or both. -
We know the interpreted lied about everything in his past. We know that the interpreter is the one who met up with the bookie and made all the communications. We know that the interpreter gambles and Ohtani has showed no interest in gambling in his life.
-
Not if he was swindled, which it very much appeared he was.
-
Maybe not completely, but several people in the room notice Ohtani became visibly shocked when Ohtani spoke to a second interpreter who was in the room as if he had no idea what just went down.
-
I would bet any amount of money Shoehi had no involvement in the betting.
-
Mizuhara was Shoehi's closest friend and they were hardly separated. It is highly likely he helped Shoehi on English websites which his account was set up on. And yes, Mizuhara was still interpreting to Shoehi while he was telling the story to the media. It is not the current story, it is the story.

Voting rights....lol, what a canard. It is only the ivory tower woke racist idiots who believe blacks are too dumb and incapable of getting an ID. Virtually every functioning adult citizen has a state ID. Ask any black on the street if they believe it is too hard for blacks to get an ID and they would punch you for uttering such a racist tripe.
