Even assuming Goff was listening to the announcement while he called the play (he wasn't), how is it possible to comprehend the error and correct it when you only had a couple of seconds to spare. The only way to 'correct' it would be to take a 5-yard delay of game penalty. This was an error which has never impacted a play before in NFL history.
