Having closed door depositions before having public testimony is a standard practice when there are many unknown facts that need to be discovered. The GOP is not denying Hunter the opportunity to testify public, but they want a deposition prior to the testimony, as is their right. The government media is telling half the story here.

A deposition is standard process to gather facts prior to the testimony in court or in this case in front of Congress. The Republicans have supeonaed Hunter to require Hunter to show up for both the deposition and the public testimony. It is not an either/or menu option for the witness to select. It was all on videotape. Convicted felon Gaige Grosskreutz was not only part of the mob attacking Rittenhouse, he had an illegal firearm pointed at Rittenhouse when he got shot. Grosskreutz was in the process of shooting Rittenhouse, but backed of as Kyle pointed his gun at him. Kyle then disengage as Grosskreutz backed off, but then Grosskreutz went back to raising his gun towards Rittenhouse who reacted bt shooting Grosskreutz before he could get his shot off. It was a perfect case of self-defense against an attempted murder by Grosskreutz. The leftist nut prosecutor charged the wrong guy.

What don't we know???? 1. We saw video of Rosenbaum threatening to kill the armed defenders (including Kyle) if he ever saw them alone. 2. We saw Rosenbaum and Joshua Ziminski and wife paling around together that evening. 3. We saw Rosenbaum and Ziminskis run ahead and set up an ambush when they saw Kyle walking alone. 4. We saw Ms. Ziminski on video cut off Kyle and steer him right into Joshua Ziminski who was holding a pistol in his hand. 5. We saw Kyle stop and the Rosenbaum sneaking up behind Kyle in an attempt to tackle him and beat his arse and probably kill him. 6. We saw Kyle duck out of the way and take off running for his life. 7. We saw Rosenbaum go in hot pursuit of Kyle and then Ziminski fire his pistol. 8. We saw Kyle turn around as he was running into a crowd of cars with Rosenbaum lunging towards him screaming 'fuk you'. 9. We saw Kyle shooting Rosenbaum microseconds before he was able to grab his gun. This wasn't some rightwing media you fuking moron. This was all shown at trial and was on tape and reported by witnesses who were right there. What more could we possibly need to know. Just GTFO. It was the most videoed self-defense case in history. There was never a case that could have succeeded unless they loaded the jury with brain-dead authoritarian leftists who want to kill conservatives (about 25 percent of the population).

So why was Kyle charged when he was the one who was clearly attacked?

It took 30 seconds of watching the tape to realize it was a slam-dunk case of self-defense. It was an abuse of power to charge someone who was clearly innocent.
