The New York Times is nothing but a mouthpiece for the FBI-CIA and has been for many decades. Unelected civil servants working in secrecy without any checks and balances is not 'the bedrock of democracy' as this idiot expert ridiculously claims. Trump cleaning house of corrupt civil servants and pulling the power out of these agencies and into the white house is not authoritarianism. For instance Hoover abused his position for decades, blackmailing and probably even having people killed to get his way and he never faced any consequences because he was more powerful than the president and did not have to answer to congress or the people. If a white house tried to do what Hoover did he would get impeached. Trump is not making increasing the authority of the executive branch, he would be consolidating it to the White House which would be more transparent to the public and answerable to the people via elections. I don't have much faith in Trump actually solving the problems. We need to open up our federal agencies and especially the intelligence agencies to a rectal exam and tell them we don't give a crap about them protecting their methods, because it is quite obvious those methods have trashed the Constutition. No, Trump is not the answer, but Trump scares the hell out of the authoritarian bastards who currently are the base of the establishment power. And a shakeup of that establishment is a good thing.

The power in the executive branch is already far out of control. It does need structural changes which makes them answerable to Congress and to the people. Nobody running is proposing what needs to happen. Trump will take out some of the trash and make it better temporarily. I would like to see Trump, Ramaswamy and RFK jr. at least atte.pt to clean it up, but so far none of them seem to understand the structural issues which has lead to these authoritarian bastards empower themselves.

Their offense was 3rd best in the NFL last season and was only held back by a terrible defense especially the first 7 weeks. But as Hitchinson and Houston emerged, their defense became OK which enabled them to go 8-2 down the stretch. They completely gutted their crappy secondary and replaced it with three top free agents to go along with standout rookie from a year ago Joseph Kirby. They also added the best LB and safety in this year's draft who will both be in the running for DROY. They have 4 defensive linemen returning healthy who missed virtually all of last season to add to the dangerous pass rush duo of Houston and Hutch. They also added two of the most dynamic offensive weapons in TE Sam LaPorta and RB/WR Jahmyr Gibbs making their offense even more lethal. Detroit will have a top 5 offense and a top 5 defense.

There is no doubt the Chiefs have talent at every level. But if you can't pressure Goff, he is going to pick you apart no matter how fast and hard hitting your secondary is. The OL has some new faces and nay take a while to mess and your WR Core is not proven. Everyone is grossly underestimating just how much improved Detroits defense is. This will be a wakeup call to KC that repeating ain't easy.

It my lifetime, Reagan was one of the most good-hearted charismatic articulate politician ever, but the media convinced a large number of people he was a stupid war-mongering bigot. If you take away Trump, all that happens is DeSantis becomes Trump. There is a large population who is sick as hell being called dumb bigots by the media. Trump may be crude, but he tells the media exactly what a lot of people want to. The people are sick of nominating a nice guy hoping the media will be happy with him. They won't.

If there was justice, Trump would win and silence all the leftist bastards on social media and then round them up and give long prison sentence for the most minor violations.
