The defense was restricted at bringing in negative stuff to protect prosecution witnesses, but no such protection for Trump. This will go down as one of the most biased cases in history which has zero chance of surviving an appeal. But the game is to convict Trumo of a felony before the election and this is the last game in town. Appeals will not be done until after the election so it does not matter.
