Zuckerberg hiring hundreds to work in content moderation teams at Facebook and shadow banning posts from conservatives from 2015 - 2024 is a good example. In a new study, Yale SOM’s Tauhid Zaman and Yen-Shao Chen show how a social media platform can shift users’ positions or increase overall polarization "It looks like there's nothing untoward happening, so they leave the network alone—and suddenly everybody thinks the earth's flat. That's what we find you could do with our technique, which is a little scary"

Imagine that your great grandparents live on a large plot of land on a gorgeous lake in Minnesota. The land has been in the family for generations before them. As your great grandfather nears old age, Islamic radicals build a mosque on an adjacent piece of land. He and his neighbors are disturbed by their habits, and their frequent menacing threats, but largely ignore them. In your grandfather's lifetime, the Islamic radicals have moved in all around his inherited land, they frequently kill his cattle, and begin to plant foreign plants on his property. He confronts them, but they don't speak his language, and he is outnumbered. They eventually begin to build houses on his land, effectively confiscating the land from him, and settle more of their own kind there. They post signs saying that English can not be spoken on his property or that of his neighbors, only Arabic. Your grandfather organizes neighbors to begin to fight back, but somehow the Islamic radicals have elected multiple people into the local government. The government refuses to acknowledge your grandfathers claims, and begin to pass more and more legislation that suppress your rights, your religion and even begin to settle muslim's from other countries, who they have paid to come into Minnesota (which they have renamed), on your family land. They hunt down and kill the ministers of the church that you attend. They make it illegal to attend your church or even openly proclaim your Christian faith. Your grandfather dies heartbroken. Your father inherits only a small piece of land compared to what your family owned generations previously, and he is worried about raising a family there due to the constant hostility and violence towards what was once a peaceful existence in this beautiful, natural setting. He realizes the invaders have taken over not only the local government, but now control state and Federal government offices, as they have dissolved the county commission that he used to sit on. He worries for his families future. Most of his neighbors have fled the country and settled elsewhere on the planet. He knows a small number of his remaining neighbors occasionally gather to discuss what they can do about his situation, but almost all of them now speak a foreign language. They don't practice his faith any longer, their land has been confiscated as well, and they are tenants on land owned by the muslim majority, barely scratching out a living. They occasionally organize resistance, but are met with overwhelming force, killed or injured with no legal consequence to the invaders when this happens, as the invaders have infiltrated all of government. Eventually your father is jailed, even though all he did was protest this set of circumstances. Now it's only you. No one remaining really speaks your ancestral language. Even though you have discouraged it, your own children express an interest in converting to the Islamic faith, because their school friends are all doing that. Whatever language you have been forced to speak, new laws have restricted you from even talking about this situation you find yourself in. The religion your family practiced for generations is barely even remembered by your neighbors, much less practiced. You own no land. You are a stranger in your own homeland, and ridiculed for ideas that used to be called common sense. How do you feel?

In mid July of '24, in the midst of one of Biden's mental breakdowns, he simply went AWOL for about 4 days. He hadn't dropped out of the race yet, but the entire (D) power base had already turned against him or were in the process of turning against him. Clooney had done his thing, calling for different candidate. Schiff had publicly stated he should step down. On July 17, an announcement went out that Biden had tested positive for Covid-19 (likely a lie) and he disappeared to Delaware with no public info about his health status or when he would return to the White House, if ever. He simply vanished. During the intervening 4 days while he was AWOL, a reporter asked his brother James Biden, if he thought Joe should stay in the '24 Presidential race or not. James indicated "that he loved his brother, and simply wanted to spend as much time with him in the time he has left as possible". On July 21, the letter was posted to the @JoeBiden twitter page indicating he was dropping out of the race. Still no verification of who typed up the note, who posted it, or who made the decision on Joe's behalf.

How does it compare to only the other mentally deranged groups though? -
If they were able to pull this off, and Trump won in '28, he'd be the first individual since FDR to win enough legitimate votes for President to be elected President in four consecutive elections.

That woman was not allowed to testify in the criminal trial, because she accepted $$ from Hard Copy or some tabloid to tell her story, and the incompetent prosecution, led by incompetent Marcia Clark, decided that this poisoned her testimony.

If you watched the criminal trial, you watched the Mark Fuhrman trial. The civil trial was actually the trial that passed judgement on OJ.

Jun, 2022 - Biden is told it is a good idea to appoint a drag queen, non-Binary human to a senior role in the Department of Energy. Biden asks what non-Binary means, then agrees to the idea. While in office, the official steals luggage at 3 different airports, is charged with Grand Larceny, and is arrested and accused of stealing jewelry, all while wasting taxpayer money. Jan, 2024 - President Trump appoints Scott Bessant to Treasury Secretary, becoming the highest-ranking openly gay official in U.S. history. Bessent immediately gets to work establishing America's first sovereign wealth fund, designed to alleviate future income tax burdens on Americans.

Jul, 2019 - President Trump initiates a common sense move, relocating the HQ of a Federal Bureau from DC to a part of the country where the resources it manages are located. The deep state convulses, and close to 90% of the employees in this agency resign or scurry to another bureaucracy. Jul, 2021 - Someone in the White House tells Biden that Trump's relocation is going to be un-done, with the agency moving back into the swamp. Biden struggles to understand what he is told, wasn't even aware of the 2019 action, but signs the authorization anyway. May, 2025 - President Trump announces ALL Federal agencies will begin to move out of Washington DC, and be located where normal people actually live and work. The national media goes into meltdown overdrive.

Circuit court puts final nail in the coffin for Biden's $500M student loan forgiveness plan
Mufaletta replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Certainly didn't used to be that way. I knew multiple guys back in the day that would walk into the Student Aid office in the morning, fill out the paperwork, and have a check ready for them to take to the bank in the afternoon. old GSL program. Check was made out in the name of the student and colleges were in the processing seat, no bank involved in the loan. Some of these guys cashed $x,000 checks and headed for the bars same week they got the $. -

This is not a passion for Brady. He has conditioned himself to win, regardless of opponent, regardless of obstacles. How do you "win" as a broadcaster? He was severely criticized in the preseason debut he did, which was a disaster, and used that as motivation to go study professional announcers and get better. Once he overcomes the critics, he has "won" at this, but he will get bored quickly. I doubt he is still in this role at the end of his contract with Fox. There is no scoreboard in announcing, so it won't be interesting to him. Over time, more and more of his attention will shift to the Raiders.

yes. Lions may have missed their window. If they couldn't get to SB in '23 or '24, believe next year will be tougher for them.
