Yeah, it can't be 2020, that would be more than 13 movies. I haven't looked at each movie, but I don't doubt what you post. I just thought the $330M to make one movie is stupid and for sure a reason it's making it hard to make their money back.

As a point of reference I looked up Dune. $165M. Oppenheimer. $100M. Maverick $170M. I would love to know WTF Little Mermaid costs $330 to make (unless that is with ads, etc and the above numbers are purely making the movie?) IMO that is a big piece of the puzzle as to why these movies are failing to make a profit for them.

IMO it's not 100% because of "woke". Barbie did just fine, as did other movies that people could be described as woke. What Disney does is the most cynical money-grabbing form of it. They just rechurn their old stale crap, and just with a diverse cast. Marvel hit its peak years ago, and they don't have that Star Wars money to bank on in the theater, so a lot of it is just black Little Mermaid or black Haunted Mansion - stuff like that. Same crap, diverse cast. Combine that with ridiculous cost of making the things and their open battle with DeSantis, and it shouldn't be a surprise that business is down and some of their movies are struggling.

It's shocking to me that these CGI pieces of crap they churn out cost $300m+. I know it's a bit of both, but how much is the content of their movies and how much is the fact that they probably need to reach $1B each to be worth it?

Exactly, he didn't deserve to be killed because of it and had the right to defend himself at that point in time, but it was a stupid decision to put himself in that point in time and be there in the first place. You know, just like damn near everybody else who was there at that time.
