Hmm. Where else would you find work, then?

    Boom! Disney getting canceled šŸ¤£šŸ˜…

Disney more than most comparable companies churn out the same product. Marvel and Star Wars mostly suck now, and they are too into just doing live action remakes of their movies after those franchises.
  3. I get your point and it's a good one. Not excusing it, but I would also expect it 100% if the shoe was on the other foot, and we sort of talked about that too. Put the Rs in more power and the same thing will happen and they will look for that. I would also argue that the SC is the bigger score with the longer ramifications. So if the Rs win big in 2024, I'd expect them to act like the Ds AND have the SC in their pocket.

    TV Writer Strike!

They are probably just watching old reruns and don't look up from their phones enough to know the difference.
  5. To me the right would have more reason to complain and throw accusations like this if it wasn't for our current SCotUS. Somebody else just posted an article about the right's plans on that front with judges and the like who will be more williing to do what the right wants in case of a win for them in the WH. Another thing I find funny that people around here seem to post as though it's only one side doing this .

Yes, but much of the downside of the strike will be felt in the future for industries like movies. We won't see a downtick there until 2024 or so - stuff that wasn't done being written and can't start shooting. Similar with streaming shows. Most didn't notice yet because it's largely rerun season besides the talk shows and the services had enough stuff finished to keep on trucking for a bit during the strike and beyond.

    TV Writer Strike!

Could you please provide some examples of what you are talking about here?
  8. To follow up on that point - I am still very hesitant to throw around words and labels like racist, pedo, etc.. Even if it's shown that somebody backed a discriminatory policy, that's not proof they are a racist. Again, IMO.
  9. Not enough eyerolls for this. No, it's not. It's sort of like in the gun threads when people break down into the dumb back and forth with anecdotes about somebody saving the day with a gun and then others posting an example of an accidental shooting. When I say it's not provable, I mean that it's not like it's tracked data to show the number of racists on a certain side of the aisle. A back and forth of examples is not proof, and it's largely irrelevant unless you really need that feather in your cap on a message board. I don't think you are dumb enough to claim there are no racists on the right, so is it really that important to you that the left might have slightly more racists? My opinion is it's a silly talking point and not provable.
  10. I think eternal just needed to be clearer. Saying there are more racists on the left isn't something that would even be provable, and is largely fingerpointing bs. Saying ideas like Kendi's are more widespread and accepted in the country than white nationals'? That I don't know how someone would even debate. I see "anti-racist" stuff everywhere
  11. Come on, they need to at least toss in a couple on their side so as to not look too obvious.
  12. Well, I'd suggest you read up on him and/or read one of his books (they are quick reads, but I wouldn't spend money for it). IMO it's worse than the implicit bias stuff, is quite common thinking on the left, and it's quite destructive to our country. This thinking is a huge reason people see racism everywhere and focus on outcomes.
  13. You must live in a cave then. "How to an-anti racist" is about as ubiquitous as you can get. Often it's direct application of his books in school and elsewhere. But largely workplace race initiatives largely come from either him or people who think like him too.

    Trump Loves Soldiers

How anyone in the military supported him is beyond me. He showed time and time again how he felt about people who served when he opened his mouth in a non-scripted way.
  15. Of course, because they are largely left causes and the left dominates media and education currently. I will bring up one low hanging fruit - exactly what you post is seen from your team in the Sound of Freedom thread. Just replace "racist" with "pedos". I see so many similarities between BLM and OUR. But that's more of a cause, and your point is well taken that something like Mr. Rodgers' beliefs are widespread and in schools and the workplace. Good to see you post the last part. It's something that really grinds my gears - it's really easy to take advantage of people who are generally trying to do some good and largely keep the money yourself or just turn it into a tax shelter for yourself and others. Too many of these causes only see 20% or less of the donations get to the people they are claiming to be helping. It's bananas.
  16. Interesting you only listed things that apply largely to the left side of the aisle.
  17. I have seen people in front of me at a show largely watch it through their phone as they record it. WTF? Why in the world would you pay that money just to watch it on a 5" screen? Going after the clicks instead of enjoying what you are doing - that sums up our society as a whole.
  18. Dinner, dates, family functions, it's everywhere. It became a reason I started to hate going to concerts and other things. Put your damn phone down and enjoy the people you are with and the event you are at, people.
  19. Yeah, Ibram Henry Rodgers doesn't have the same ring to it.
  20. Also, the schools help start them on the path. Chromebooks for kindergarteners now, so they can't complain too much about kids being on tech too much.
  21. WTF do you people live? Schools around here do things like making kids keep the phone in their locker, take them away, jamming tech, etc.. But as you point out - let's not pretend this is a issue with just school kids. Most of the time it's the "do as I say" parents, and they are just as addicted to their phones, if not moreso. I started noticing it 10+ years ago when my now 16yo was 4 or so. We would go to the park or an indoor sports place. Kids running around, parents not paying attention and on their phones. Barely anybody actually interacts with each other more - on the phone or at least have earbuds in.
  22. How's the crime rate and schooling in the Mormon community?
  23. Anybody with half a brain could see where this was going and what his beliefs led to. His worldview codes damn near everything as "racist". The left needs to drop that thinking ASAP and IMO talk in terms of class and $, not color. Not holding my breath on that though.
