At 13 Baltimore City high schools, zero students tested proficient on 2023 state math exam
BuckSwope replied to RLLD's topic in The Geek Club
Yes - poor, uneducated parents largely fall behind on providing kids with the foundation to care about their education. Most are uninvolved for a variety of reasons. I don't believe asking them nicely will largely change the situation for their children. So, you are saying it's a race thing? -

Largely the same thing now. -

It's the "I can do it, why can't everybody else??!!" mentality too many conservatives have. -

Because many parents don't care, don't have the ability to help, etc. That's a huge reason you are seeing the results you currently are. So your solution is to what, have school officials go door to door and ask pretty please pay attention to your kids education? -

Ok, so then explain it to me what you are specifically wanting to be done about the family, and how will that affect the children in school currently? -

Yes/no. Sorry, but for the kids in school right now, we can't educate their parent or make them care. It's an important part of the equation for sure, but I tire of that being the only solution presented on the right. -

Easy fix - lower the standards so they all pass. America!! -
Over 2,200 migrants caught on video illegally crossing border near Eagle Pass, Texas, overnight

My understanding is it's largely the wild west - not that much regular daily moderation. If somebody reports something to Mike, that's about the only time the spotlight will be on a thread or post and people or threads get axed. -
Along with the bolded, I have read accusations from people in the OUR network that there have been times where they couldn't do anything after they "saved" these kids on an operation and they basically just let them go. Statements claim that other times there was little to no effort to get these kids back to their families and they end up ... in Utah being adopted by members of the church. Just bizarre stuff. To me, these "operations" sound like the core of the grift and were all the digusting behavior comes into play. Even IF any one of those things are true - not getting kids to their family, letting them go after rescue, making women pretend to be his wife, letting civilians pay to go along on the operations. Fock that, and I hope nobody around here coughed up money to them.

Always loved the dumb he reported/no he reported me back and forths. That these boards don't make the reporting public is beyond me. -

For what? -
So to be clear, neither of these are grifting: using church leader's name to generate $ for yourself without them knowing? Using a story that didn't happen to sell merchandise? Be honest, how many dogtags did you buy, jon? This reminds of the lefties and clinging to BLM despite them grifting and being general POSs in the organization.
-
Nope, that's not the grift, either. I can't imagine wanting "libs" to be wrong so bad or wanting to virtue signal so bad ( "save the kids", "only pedos think he was grifting") that you don't take these allegations seriously.
-
NM, I see it posted here.
-
Not sure if it was posted, but on top of the sexual misconduct allegations, the church stepped away from him saying he was using church member's name for his financial gain as well. Bizarre story the more you read into it.

Just taking selfies? -
Not paying extra to see it, but I will watch if it's on a streaming service I get. Same for most movies - I will watch damn near anything.

That's not the grift, dipsh1t.

Ah, more of the "but the left does it" crap that is so prevalent. What in the world does who the left vote for have to do with the right putting Boebert in office? Because they vote for braindead loons, you have to? -

Heavy petting in the theater was the least of Boebert's offenses for me. That's just funny because who she projects herself as being and it was fully in public. It should be public stonings for obnoxious people in the theaters - the vaping and selfies are the worse crimes here. -
Well, if you can answer the question, then I wouldn't have to imply something if I'm wrong.

Clean up your own house first implies that your house needs cleaning too. Since the topic was grifting, well.... So you don't think Ballard is grifting off this? 1000% about saving kids?
