  1. I don't know 100% the details of your business, but it would take a lot of convincing on your part to get me to believe you have 0 other options - for starters, is there a reason you have to use illegals for day labor? No temp agencies, homeless shelters, veteran outreach you could do? Not willing or can't take the prospect of less profits?? But again, Tim - I disagree with it but I am a realist and understand this is at the core of our economy in the US. Where you differ from people in here and largely the right is that you do these things but talk about a more open border. You don't puff our your chest and talk about a strong border while participating in this side of the problem. I find the right to be quite hypocritical on this issue.

Some Schools Close Cause Of Hot Temps

I'm sure its exactly the same too. Were they playing in or with water? Was there a breeze? Could they cool off if they needed? Healthy enough to be outside? My kids were also playing outside too- in suits with water guns, reading in the shade/breeze when they got hot. None of that applies to a school with little circulation and 100s of kids. We get it, you walked both ways uphill to your un air-conditioned one room school house. Congrats.

Where do you live and where did you grow up?
  4. Of course he does. pos move that I highly disagree with, but that is our economy and that happens a lot in very key industries. Why do people not turn a fraction of that anger to the companies that do the same all over the country? Your last sentence applies to our country as a whole- we don't care as long as stuff is cheap and profits are maxed.
  5. It frustrates me to no end that all the finger pointing in the OP is about Biden and the border. Of course that's a piece of it, but there is never any talk about who is hiring them and why. Sorry, I will keep saying it - if there weren't jobs for them, they wouldn't be here. I read that article and think about the whys of the hiring process, not border walls. @Hawkeye21 - pointed out that he sees people leaving their jobs they don't like and foreigners taking them. I think there is a bit of that, but also it's about our profits over people mentality that NEVER gets talked about. Sorry, we can't have both at the same time. I see people actively choosing to hire them because they are cheaper, it's not because Americans won't do the job. I see people using crews of foreigners for housing project instead of a more expensive local contractor. Less than 5 years ago our staff was 2-3 workers from south of the border, now our kitchen staff and a few front position are ESL. There are many reasons for this - ease, can pay them less on average, etc. Landlords around here are perfectly happy with them because they can charge more rent. Again, we yell at Biden about the border, but don't yell at the landlords choosing to rent to the immigrants instead because they know there will probably be a steady client base and they can charge a little more. This is why I largely shake my head about the complaints at the border - we want to have our cake and eat it too. We want all the cheap stuff and high profits, which we are getting by hiring illegals.

Lol. Are you around any kids in 2023? And no, more accurately they are worried about parents and lawsuits.

Amwrican schools can't afford basic supplies or to pay teachers a decent wage. Or to keep art/music programs. Or , well you get it.
  8. Still don't think it matters. I think even West could pull some of those R votes as well, and I don't think he pulls near as many votes from the D candidate as Trump does from the Rs. I'm all for as many legit options as possible, but I am just saying that I think any option where Trump goes 3rd party = D win.
  9. IMO, this is the scenario that would hand the White House to the Ds. Don pulls too many of the R votes away.
  10. Which one has the hottest daughters and granddaughters? That's the only info needed to answer the question for Trump.
  11. You are mostly right, but IMO it's more accurate to say that what media and social media have done is by hammering the examples, it convinces people there is danger where it doesn't apply to them largely. I am sure there are sketchy areas where it's reasonable to cautious on both sides of that police encounter. But as an example, the black manager at my store who recently got pulled over and was making comments and jokes about getting shot - yeah, she's not in one of those areas. I just wish most conservatives could turn that media scrutiny on themselves as well.
  12. You are going to have a hell of a time finding examples with the bolded.

Why do we have a vaccine against a virus?

You are proving my point with every post. I post the definition, and by the way that is the context it's given in any science or biology class I've ever been in. Then you post the "similar" terms, only a few of which would mean 100% protection, which of course is what the politicians and SM used - which of course is 100%/0%, black/white/, R/D. Everything I read and saw talked about what I said above - some protection, not full but a main benefit is also reducing severe symptoms, making death less likely. And to answer your other question, the other thing people like you don't seem to understand or incorporate is that there is and always has been a community aspect to the vaccines. Some of the vaccines you ask of weren't 100% effective, but because everybody took them the combination shut it down. So anti-vaxxers that might go too far are protected because the people around them vaccinated and don't have the disease to give to them. It's no surprise that the unvaccinated had the higher death rate, and it's also no surprise that diseases that we thought were gone are now popping up more and more because knobs like you and TB who slept through any equivalent science class to the ones I had think that vaccines are like Theraflu.

Why do we have a vaccine against a virus?

And the definition of the bolded word? the state or quality of being resistant to a particular infectious disease or pathogen

Why do we have a vaccine against a virus?

Thanks, back to my point about people being ignorant about basic science. No, it never used to mean that.

Why do we have a vaccine against a virus?

So that's what makes it a vaccine - you don't get it again?

Why do we have a vaccine against a virus?

See, this is where you are off base, IMO. No, it didn't make you immune, but it did provide some protection that way. You are giving it 0 credit for even that by saying the bolded. Yes, what you are getting at largely became it's main function - to lessen the symptoms if you caught it (aka less likely to die as well). The main reason to consider the shot was because of the asymptomatic spread, again going back to that first part - it did protect against that as well. I don't think it's a mystery why the unvaccinated population had a higher death rate. A large portion of our population are old, fat, and have co-morbidities that would have made the shot make sense - but because they believe stuff like the bolded or that the vaccine was worthless because it didn't make you immune, way too many chose not to take the shot when they should have.

Why do we have a vaccine against a virus?

I agree, because as usual you idiots post stuff that is not even my position. It's always mixed with moronic stuff that you think some "lib" somewhere believes. Not sure where I was defending being lied to or that I would decriminalize fraud. We will disagree that people who refused the jab weren't taken in by politicians and SM. Yes, in an ideal world the population would have a base knowledge of medicine, viruses, and their bodies (stuff that is covered in HS biology for the most part) AND they wouldn't get lied to. Yes, I put a large part of that responsibility on people informing themselves. We were going through a pandemic, and I can't tell you how many people didn't understand base info about how a virus acts or is spread. So, when you encounter somebody saying that you'd be immune if you got vaccinated, you'd know they were full of sh1t and that didn't make sense. IF you didn't have that knowledge and was largely getting your info from the White House and Social Media, again - that's on you. It seems like you and your crew like to trumpet about personal responsibility, but then get all pissy when I suggest part of that is reading decent info and getting educated on something. Then it's.... but, but, but - Fauci and Biden!!

So if I get the accusations correctly, what people are accusing OUR of doing via these raids in Columbia/Haiti, is: 1. Paying $ for info/whereabouts of kids for saving, but also. 2. they are charging people to tag along with these operations? Due to this, they could be causing local crime lords to kidnap kids for this purpose. 3. Then either not helping them afterwards or putting them in orphanages that are under the churches' umbrella 4. Profitting about $20-25/kids upon adoption - again, often to people in Utah. Any one of these 4, if true, is pretty bananas.

@GutterBoy - I listened to that pod this morning. Not as compelling as the Red Pilled one you linked before, but these two are funnier at least. Spend a good bit of time ripping on conservatives and Americans in general. One thing they did touch on more than Red Pilled did is the after the "saving" details - talked a bit about the other non-profit ties with the orphanages and $ they get from adoptions possibly? Between the two pods and other info, people should at least start to understand why there was eyebrows raised about this movie, but more specifically Ballard and the people involved in the operations they are asking donations for. Just the fact they could be creating the situation they are supposedly fixing through their operations in Columbia and Haiti is bananas.
