My comment about counting tim's posts on FBGS was in relation to a post he made in another thread while whining about tim. It was something like "ha, the loser had 25 posts this morning in his music thread on FBGs". That is what I am talking about, idiot. I thought it was funny that he actually took the time to go look want tim was doing, so I've been busting his balls since then. Yes, on top of that many others here are creepily obsessed with tim. Yes, he posts a ton, that's not a secret. So do a lot of people here. What I find funny and bust the boards' balls about is that it's only tim that people complain about but can't stop talking about. They b1tch about his post count and then @ him into a conversation or say stuff like "well tim would think this is Ok" that of course is a huge reason why he posts so much. Yeah, tim is annoying and posts too much. That I can ignore and scroll past. What I find worse is the constant posts about him and his posts. THAT's the reason these boards tank. Not tim, it's the idiots that can't seem to quit him or disengage - you seem to be in that camp as well.

Ok, I will give BR the benefit of the doubt. When he posted that Tim had X number of posts on FBGs a certain morning, he just took time out of his day to: 1. Care enough to think about how many posts Tim had 2. Go to fbgs to look 3. At the very least searched how many he had in a morning. Look at his profile? Now, any of that is laughable behavior for a grown man. More likely BR was talking out of his ass and did none of it, but it's still funny he bothered to post it.

This post is funny on a couple levels. Mostly that you whine about the bolded but then do the same assuming all "the left" would be in support of, what I'm not sure. Support of everything trans? Next is suggesting that people should buy stuff they don't use for "support" of whatever you think they are supporting.

I feel you on The Killing, and that criticism. In general I hate voice over in movies, and it's all over the noir genre. But I like non-linear timelines in movies and I like how it was like Reservoir Dogs but about 40 years earlier. It's not the peak of the genre, but one I recommend a lot and people have seemed to miss over the years. It's possible you don't like Third Man either. I love In A Lonely Place and have returned to it a few times. To me a lot of the main movies you see listed for noir start to feel a bit the same when you watch a bunch, so I like ones that are a bit different like In A Lonely Place. Nobody I know seems to use it besides me, but I love the Criterion Channel and they always seem to have a noir theme each month and I try to check a couple out. Recently they had British and Japanese ones for a theme, and the comparison was interesting.

The Third Man is a must watch, IMO. Especially since you already listed a couple of Welles' already. (acting, not directing here though) Another favorite is In A Lonely Place. (to me, better Bogey than Key Largo) Detour is another I suggest a bit now that I don't see mentioned enough. I don't argue too much about what is noir and what isn't, but I see a lot of Wilder and Hitchcock on lists when I scan, and that along with the Welles movies was my main entry point. Movies like Rebecca, Strangers on a Train, Sunset Blvd, Notorious, The Long Weekend, and others I see on lists. I also almost forgot one of my favorite Kubrick movies - The Killing.

I laugh at this as well. It seems everybody "knows" for sure who caused Joe to pull the plug or who he "really" hated behind the scenes. Odd that there is never any proof or anything. My opinion is that it's similar to around here. There are a handful of people who take this way too seriously, and other people who think it's funny to poke them instead of just ignoring them. There are people I suspect more than others, and it's the same group that is now sniping at each other over here and can't seem to quit each other. I think the difference is that Joe seemed to welcome the reporting and it got to the point where people were PMing him and emailing him about this crap, and he just said fock this. "Grown" men doing this. My opinion is that most of the TOs are becuase people were being and they knew it when they posted, and both sides were reporting in an effort to get people they didn't like booted from the forum. Like you said, though - I have no idea and I wasn't on the PSF nearly as much as some so I am sure there is crap I missed as well.
