On the topic of trans, I think the liberals are crazy. That doesn't mean I don't find some of the reactions crazy too.

DOD memo leak: "Trans" service members can skip deployments, receive indefinite fitness waivers

Try to subvert our elections? -
Trying too hard, man.

Again, I know he is a creepy old dude, I don't need daily "evidence". Biden is not a hill I am defending or dying on, so what is your point? I posted above where I go for info. Never had a Twitter account, and for me YouTube is for drumming videos and live music, not for Biden groping kids and tranny vids, but knock yourself out.
-
No, I don't like the reality that our choices for politicians are largely incompetent, creepy old f0cks. Difference is, I largely don't need my computer and youtube suggestions clogged up with your and LCs daily barrage of tranny and creepy old guy videos. Which I why I largely ignore and don't bother clicking on your sh1t. It really is weird.

Just doing "research" and saving the kids like a true patriot!

White people "get the hell away from black people"
BuckSwope replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
There's no perfect way. I gravitate to longer form like books or podcasts that dig deeper into topics. Daily news I mainly stick to 4-5 places. If I have to look for info or an article people are talking about, I will click on a nyt, CNN, or fox, but it's not where I start if I can avoid it. Imo it's not hard. I gave up on social media years ago besides fbgs and this place, which is using that term loosely. Eta: imo what has happened in the last decade is the right fought left bias with more bias, just the other direction. We largely have this country getting 2 very different versions of news and facts. It's only going to get worse with AI. -
Trolling for reactions and likes?

White people "get the hell away from black people"

Oh relax, jerry. I know all media has some bias. I was busting balls, hence the emoji. The last part is true, nobody is moving off their sources so that game is tedious and usually just distracts from actual conversation. -

Yes, I read it as: their finely curated righty bubble hasn't notified them of the MSM covering it or not yet. Not always, but many times I've seen that claim, it's been on another site, mentioned elsewhere that I've seen. I've long tired of the source policing game - nobody is moving off their stance on that anytime soon. -
Weed and very rarely- gin or an IPA.

Especially part time. Not the shot you think it is, I have no issues being the one largely staying home and doing the family/kid thing. Currently d1ckiing aorund with you guys because I am a little bored at the pool and forgot my book at home.
-
Dude, everything is political - even pedos!
-
Correct, I don't talk politics IRL, and I don't talk to you people about movies/music. There are a couple of issues that interest me, but mostly I like laughing at people like you.
-
This is correct. The point is around here a large portion of the population doesn't hold this belief. Largely what it proves is that (surprise, surprise! ) pedos and groomers tend to gravitate to places where there are a lot of kids - church, scouts, teachers, coaches. Who would have thought!
-
I find a bit of your sh1t funny, there's just way too much of it, gb so I put you on ignore and open from time to time for a laugh.
-
He didn't quote anybody, and I am accused of being a lib all the time around here and was in the conversation.
-
All of them? So I am either not a lib or not all of them GAF about Chic-Fil-A either. I thought that was dumb too, and gave my wife the other day because she said something after I said the kids and I stopped there after a game. I care not about their politics - they have good food, or at least way better than the standard quick options.
-
I get that. Like I said, I am not overly political IRL - I think it's dumb to get that into one political party or politician. It doesn't drive my behavior. But that's me. I get what you are saying, and this is 100% a healthy expression of that annoyance. I harp on the righties a lot for now acting like the left was - e.g. combating being called racists by calling everybody groomers and racists. This is how it should be done. Like I said, above specifically for this board the reaction of just one little easy thing doesn't quite match up to the daily outrage over this issue and that's largely where ball busting is coming from.
-
Also, largely this is busting the balls of people who spend a large portion of their time here talking out about trans and their supporters. IMO this wouldn't be 77 pages long elsewhere where trannies aren't talked about so much. That's mostly what makes it funny - it's an evil that is being unleashed on this country!!, but all that can be done is sharing tranny pics with other people who already are (supposedly) disgusted by them and stop drinking a sh1t beer.
-
If they are, they are doubly stupid because that wouldn't be supporting my position. Sorry to break it to you, I think it's all largely stupid. I don't make decisions on what I buy, where I go, or what I watch because of political ideology. I don't put political stickers on my car, do these boycotts, wear gear of parties and politicians. All your post proves is my point the other day talking about how you guys largely only see the world in R/L terms. Because I think this is silly it MUST mean I 100% support trans or something?
-
No, I don't think there is question that this is how it works. Don't like something, don't buy it. You can chose whatever parameters you want. The people like me that are laughing at them aren't doing it because I don't think it's justified, or that you don't have a good reason. I just find it interesting and a bit hypocritical for people who feel SO strongly about stopping woke, trans ideology, all that - but they just stop at Bud Light, and don't seem to know about or care about all the other products and companies do the same. If this boycott was so successful and people are so sick of this sh1t, why stop there and not get out the word or do the same about all those others. Others have fully admitted how their boycott of Bud Light was easy.
-
The question of hypocrisy is not just about you individually, it's about the group of people at large. It's just interesting that Bud Light is the one that blows up, but we have many examples in here of other very similar examples that don't get any buzz or boycotts. Surely many people in the 1000s that boycotted also use Apple, Nike, Maybelline. Surely many in those 1000s have the ability to share those ads and videos in the same threads. Overall, it seems like it's kind of important, but not really. Which I believe is accurate for most people and fine, but it surely doesn't match up to the rhetoric around this place about trans and people who support them and their ideology. So which is it - is the Geek Club just largely being trolls and pretending they are that disgusted by the trans movement, or are they so lazy and uninformed that they only can be bothered to stop buying a crap beer?
-
I don't even think it's peer pressure in this regard, it's just that these types of "boycotts" are mostly driven by a few people, and targeted to people they know will get riled up. It's not like 1000s of people saw the ad, reacted independently, and later realized how many others were doing it. More likely a few people with a lot of followers shared this, it spread around to the usual places, and people saw it that way.

JFC - you are talking like you bozos are actually doing something time consuming and taxing here. Not buying something you probably don't use much and retweeting a couple posts eats up THAT much time that you can't tackle more than one product at a time?
