All of it all at once. It's privately owned and they make you sell all of it when you leave the company. Actually you can split it in 2, half at the end of the year and half in the first of the next year if it helps tax wise. I took the tax hit and immediately reinvested it in a well diversified portfolio. I'll use it first though when needed because it's not tax sheltered, just in a regular brokerage. Are you married. And are you the higher earner? If so take your wife's SS as soon as possible and then defer yours as long as possible as insurance for her. As for your company stock I'd take a look at how much of a percentage it is of your entire portfolio and if it puts you at risk not being diversified enough. Sell and reinvest to be safer in retirement. But you need to do it strategically if it's taxable.
