Who's that QB? Give me a name who has a better pedigree at 10-12 overall? You can't name one, in fact you probably can't name more than 2 QBs who are coming out this year.
-
That's racist , he has one of the strongest arms in football. He's just raw. Are you saying that Fields WASN'T in a horrible situation? You have to factor that in, no?
-
I've been to Kohls before
-
Then it didn't work out. You let him walk. There's no huge financial risk and if he does suck you'll probably be drafting top 5 the following season anyway. Get the QB then. All I'm saying that it's probably worth the limited risk. He had no chance to succeed in Chicago
-
He won't be!!! They can trade for him, resign him or Tag him at the end of 2024. He's not just walking. WTF don't you understand?
-
THE NEW TEAM IDIOT!!!!!!!
-
That's my point exactly. It's a crap shoot. You have no idea who's going to pan out regardless of.draft position. Just my opinion Dik Head, no need to get mouthy.
-
HE WON'T BE A FREE AGENT!!! THEY CAN TAG HIM AT ANYTIME. GET IT???
-
But what good is 10 overall if you have no QB? It's a 2 QB draft this year, they aren't getting either. I would take a shot, that's just me. If it doesn't pan out then at least I'm not on the hook for a big contract. You can move on at anytime. I think Fields was given a raw deal in Chicago. That whole situation was a nightmare. Nagy really Fd him up and Eberflus is a dope.
-
Agree but #10 overall is no slam dunk. Top 5 I'd say no way, but #10 or 12 (wherever they end up). I'm fine with that, what's a better option?
-
No shizz dumbass. The team picking up Fields would still have FULL CONTROL going forth regardless of the option.
-
That'll work.
-
Agree. They have to eradicate these people, otherwise deal with it forever.
-
Exactly
-
He's also playing with the worst head coach in the league in a horrific offense. He's been in a different offense every year in Chicago. I'd trade #10 overall for Fields. It's not like you're locked in to a long term big money deal. What's the risk?
-
I could see that. Perhaps a 1st round pick and getting a 3 back. Don't forget how bad the QB position is in the NFL. Atlanta has the #10 pick. They won't have a crack at a franchise QB, so why not give up a 1 and see how Fields does in a new offense. Why not, what better options are there?
-
Yes, absolutely. I have a friend who's a Bills fan and another who's a Browns fan. They both do it.
-
I disagree. Some coach or GM will see the upside. It's not like Chicago did Fields any favors.
-
I actually like that for them. They won't find better where they're drafting. I don't think it would take a 1 & 2 though. I think a 1 should easily get it done, especially with them drafting a QB.

You're either lying or Gay if you say you wouldn't Doink her! I'm not speaking for Liberals, I see what they sleep with. -
I agree with everything you said but it's more of a Peyton can't work with Wilson type of thing, more so than a money thing. Money is not the ultimate factor. Wilson was not great, not horrible either, QB9 on the season. Even by releasing Wilson they are still on the hook for a shizz ton of money and still need to pay a different QB (where's the savings?). It's not like they just dump Wilson, draft a stud and everything is good. There's still a lot of $$$ at play. Not to mention they are still void of talent at most positions with or without Wilson. They better be prepared to suck, for a while. I understand the move but I think it's more of a Sean Payton issue than a Russell Wilson issue.

Agree, the Chiefs are in trouble, too much Kelce dependent. Teams have figured out how to isolate Kelce. Without him going off they have nothing.

I hear you and don't disagree. C'mon though, sample size Minshew is not a starting QB. If they're content winning 8 games then yes, but for what? There's no franchise QB in the wings coming to save the franchise. Again, I'm not saying they won't cut Russ (they probably will) but I wouldn't rule out some sort of last minute deal. Especially once Russ discovers that he has no market. Peyton is a nice coach, he's not Shanahan.
